October 19th my account was locked with Robinhood. I have $916.00 that's in my account that they will not release. I have contacted them numerous times and they refused to speak to me on why they restricted my account. I was told by a representative they didn't want to speak to me which is very suspicious coming from a company such as this one. I have sent over bank statements and identification atleast 5 times as they requested each time i contactedthem.. I need answers from Robinhood and I need them to unrestrict my account so I can retrieve my funds they've had locked for almost 4months.

I was alerted to a wash sale of stock AUPH when I asked for a detailed report of my stock activity after exercising tax-loss harvesting trades. When I did an analysis on my portfolio, I went through each stocks page on the Robinhood platform. The stock page clearly shows that I made a limit buy on November 25th, 2022 and there was no other activity listed besides my sale on December 30th. To be sure, I clicked on the link to Show more and that took me to a page that showed my the same information. To make absolutely sure that was the case, I changed the refine results section to Account: All and Type: All and the presentation of the information didn't change again. Robinhood showed me the same Stock History information on all 3 screens. There were no notifications of an actual fill date or a distinction in the line-item history of when an order was placed and when it was filled. As a result, I believed I was making an informed tax-loss selling decision based on the information that Robinhood presented as an history of my stock activity. There is also no clear indication that the individual stocks are clickable unless you hover your mouse. The only clearly clickable links such as show more didnt provide any more detail than what was shown on the stock page, even if I refined the search. I would have never sold the stock if I had a clear indication that I was in danger of executing a wash trade. The trade was eventually filled on December 8th which triggered a wash sale given I sold shares on December 30th. Im obviously very frustrated with how all of this has played out. I contacted Robinhood Customer Support but they told me they didn't feel that there was any issue to resolve. Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me for your consideration. I have provided more detail in the attached document. Thanks,*****************

I have an account with Robinhood and on 2/6/2023 I received a series of 6 text messages from Robinhood, each with a code that I did not request. Suspecting fraud, I attempted to log into my account and check to see what was going on. My account no longer allowed me in and when I went through the verification process that Robinhood requires to authenticate account holders, it would not validate me. I have tried multiple times and uploaded my drivers license, my passport, and it took photos of me and still will not allow me to access my account. These is no support number to call. Robinhood requires you be logged into the app to access support, so I am stuck and unable to get any help. I fear someone is accessing my account fraudulently and I have no one to call and no way to get help. Please help me. I have done everything I know to do.*************************

On or around 1/26/2023 I called in a complaint that $75 was taken from my bank account and my auto investment was a smaller amount. Then they said it would take 48hrs to complete an investigation and let me know. My account is still under review and I cannot invest anymore until they fix it.

I signed up for Robinhood in either 2020 or 2021. My email account associated with that account was accidentally deleted, & I had to change my phone number because I moved to a different state. Ive tried logging into my Robinhood account many times since these events took place & have been unsuccessful. Tonight, (02/06/2023), I verified my identity with Robinhood in order to get back into my account, but then was brought to a page that told me I would need to be called back in order to get into my account. Unfortunately, because my phone number had been changed, I couldnt be successfully called back & I was not able to enter a new phone number due to not being able to enter my account. Now, Robinhood is billing me monthly until I resolve this issue, but no matter what I try, I cannot contact the company for support unless Im logged into my account.

I created an account with Robinhood in September of 2018. I uploaded $100 into the account, however I quickly realized it was not for me. I never purchased/traded any stocks and removed my $100 and deactivated my account by October of 2018. In February 2023, I am still receiving frequent emails about account statements (for $0 balance), ****************** updates, etc. After reaching out to support, there seems to be no way to legitimately close an account, only "deactivate" and/or request for extraneous data to be deleted. I understand that some data must be retained by financial institutions, on their end, for legal reporting purposes. That is fine. However, I can still log into my account and reactivate it. I do not want a functional account on Robinhood that can ever be reactivated. If my email were to be hacked, someone could gain access to this account, which contains my SSN and bank details, or even re-activate the account. When I agreed to the ****************** of creating a Robinhood account, I do not remember agreeing for an account to be created in my name that would exist in perpetuity with a $0 balance - indeed, I can find no such language in the current ******************. No legitimate financial institution in the US requires accounts to exist for every single former account holder- each and every one has a mechanism for proper, permanent account closure. If someone acquired my email address, they could not simply, with a few clicks, re-activate a bank account I closed in 2018. Likewise, I no longer receive $0 statements from banks with which I have closed an account. After back and forth with support, they linked me to US legal requirements for brokers (attached here as "broker requirements") as evidence of the legal requirement behind their policy. These legal requirements explicitly state that records are not required to be kept indefinitely and say nothing about user accounts.I demand the right to permanently close my account with Robinhood.

I invested in ethereum back in December 2022 through an ach payment( my bank account was linked with Robinhood and verified). After they received funds couple days later that deactivated my account without a reason. I spoke to representative through phone and app messages, trying to resolve the problem. They asked for Photo Id, face verify and bank statements, which everything was sent that same day. After insisting everyday because no solutions was given They decided to close my Robinhood account but wont let me withdraw my money. There response is we cant verify the legitimacy of the funds so we can not refund any money. I contacted my bank stating this company was fraud after days of investigation i was told by the bank they cannot help, to contact Robinhood directly. Email is the only way to communicate with Robinhood and there response is the same ( they cant verify the legitimacy of my fund so they will no refund anything) I look at it as they are stealing my money. *** attached emails they sent and I dont think that is a proper response.

      Complaint: 19334267

I am rejecting this response because:
All Robinhood is saying is to review emails I already have received and read,  which is that they closed my account and the cant verify the legitimacy of my funds. They are just repeating what I already know and the reason Im filing a complaint in the first place because they are keeping my funds. All I want is the refund of my money, which is held hostage by Robinhood for over a month now. I have bank statements and Robinhood statements where Robinhood pulled funds from my bank account. I have read there Terms and conditions, and Robinhood Financial LLC and Robinhood Securities LLC customer agreement, and no where on this agreement does it say Robinhood has the right to keep my money. They have the right to close my account but not to keep my money. Ive attached my bank statements and Statements from their Robinhood portal proof where the funds are pulled out of, how is it possible that with that prof they still cant find legitimacy of funds. I have sent the face verification and photo id, with same address on bank account and Robinhood account. When you open a Robinhood account and link your bank account, my bank account was verified with my username and password. What other proof do they need. I dont know what to do really frustrating. Im getting robbed by a broker and I cant do anything about it. Do I have to file a complaint with the US Securities and ******************* i dont know what to do now.
      Sincerely,
