My Robinhood account was accessed by an outside entity and my login info changed so I am locked out of my account. Robinhood customer service will not assist me with my issue. I received a single call after filing a complaint with ****** Consumer.com and I was told by the customer service representative that my stocks were liquidated and I confirmed that it was not me that did so. Due to not knowing the extent of the data breach I asked that an authentication email that Robinhood uses be sent to my government email. The agent agreed and told me if I had any issues to email him from an email Robinhood supposedly sent to me. I never received an email and have tried consistently to contact Robinhood over the last 6 days. I have no confidence that Robinhood is going to make any effort to correct the issue. This is unacceptable for any institution that handles finances and the complete lack of avenues to contact the company is a major liability.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because. that's the only response I kept getting no live person is available to chat or for me to contact. Also, it's been past 35 days and no live person has reached out just a email kept saying thank you for your patience. This business is a scam for inexperience investor.
Sincerely,

I've noticed a few things about Robinhood that have encouraged me to write this complaint. First, customer service is labeled at 24/7 but truly anyone you try to reach out to cannot help you and try to escalate issues. Second, I've written in three times just for the chat to be closed... they can respond to me but on my side I am unable to speak to them. Third, if you take a look at their interface, when it comes to cryptocurrency they do not list buy/sell bid orders - which allows the platform to set its own price. Beyond this, they provide no education about how to place different order types and what this means. I believe the company is actually committing fraud and not a free market.
I will upload a few images - two are showing market prices listed and sell and buying prices pre-set by Robinhood. You'll notice if you buy prices are higher and if you sell prices are lower than listed prices on their website. This would event take into account any charges (which should be zero) by Robinhood.Business Response

The response provided is a legal response but doesn't actually answer the issues described. The indication for a mass amount of users who do not use limit orders will believe the market prices but pay a higher rate. The users who try to sell their asets will be selling for a lower rate. This doesn't allow for easy and truthful trades on the platform. I was told there is a 5% potential change in order prices but this doesn't add up to what is actually listed. I believe there is something more going on with Robinhood that is driving price discrepancies and lower profits or higher losses for users.

I attempted to reach out to Robinhood many times regarding account deletion. I created the account in 2021 and never used it. I was notified in December that my email address was included in a Robinhood data breach. I logged into my account to deactivate the account and found that the account settings section of my account is greyed out - which is the section where the account deactivation request is located. I reached out to Robinhood various times for assistance with deleting my account, but have never received a call back or email.I am very weary of my Robinhood account remaining open and their lack of support to resolve the issue is a bit more concerning to me.Business Response

Two weeks back there were some suspicious activity on my Robinhood account. All my stocks were sold and I notified Robinhood about it immediately and they opened a case and deactivated my account. Few days back they emailed me saying that they cannot verify the legitimacy of the remaining fund (this fund is not in stocks but in their brokerage cash account) so they won’t let me have my money. My account is still deactivated and I don’t have access to my own money. I tried reaching them several times through calls/chats/emails asking them more details on how they sab withhold my cash and if I can provide any information but they are not responding at all.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because Robinhood is not giving me back my own 25 thousand dollars and also not giving any details on my case. They are redirecting me to a generic email I received from them which states that they cannot verify the legitimacy of my money so they don’t owe me my $25k money. This is unacceptable as they are robbing me of my own money without any reason. I demand that they look into this matter and return my 25 thousand dollars asap.
Sincerely,

My brokerage account was restricted from trading and after providing all necessary information and documents to the customer support, I have been unable to close out my account and get the funds that are currently in my account refunded back to me. I just would like to get my account closed and have my funds refunded.Business Response

Hello, I had an account with Robinhood a couple years ago. I closed the account. I received a letter in the mail saying that I would be charged monthly fee for my account. I do not have an account with them. I try to verify myself on their website by my name, social security and phone number and it would not accept my information. I can't get in touch by phone or email with Robinhood is very frustrating. I should not have to verify myself by a picture of my DL and a picture of me to be able to send a message to Robinhood about something that is not my fault. I closed my account years ago. I want Robinhood to reach out to my by email and solve this . I am not paying any fees for a closed account. Thank youBusiness Response

Robinhood has restricted my account and locked me from being able to do anything with my money, when asking them why, they said I fell in a grey area within their algorithm and my account is under review. I noticed my phone number under my profile was changed and not verified. I can't get anymore detail, timeframe, etc.. out of them and my money is stuck with Robinhood ignoring my requests and offers to help resolve in any way possible.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The letter/response from Robinhood tells me to review a case number as it contains all the information pertinent to the concerns I brought forward, I reviewed the case number being referenced and it saysHello,

But when I contacted Robinhood in regards to this email after I received the letter response on the BBB complaint and after I received the email in regards to the case number, they stated at this was an auto generated email, can be disregarded, and that they currently are not requesting any information from me. This leaves the case open with no resolution, no timeframe, or answers and Robinhood referencing a case number to provide me with answers, but at the same time telling me no information is needed and the email they are telling me to reference is auto generated and is to be discarded. At the same time it has me concerned they will close the case and are considering me as not ever responding or reaching out to them when I have been on a daily basis, my account remains locked.

On January 3rd, 2023 I contacted RobinHood Securities regarding my deceased husbands account. I followed their instructions and heard nothing back. I have since contacted them two more times (1/9 and 1/19) and have received nothing but the standard we received your email response. I do not even know if they have frozen my husbands account so that it is not losing money. There is no number to call to actually get to a person. You can only request a call within their app for which you need log-in info which I don't have.Business Response
