I called quickbooks for support to get an issue fixed with my quickbooks online. They told me that their software was not updating on my account due to errors. I was never notified that there was an issue and apparently it has been going on for a long time. Additionally, they want to charge me to fix their own software and save my data. I believe this is completely unreasonable as it is their software that is not functioning properly since it is an online platform. They are either creating the problem or setting up the accounts in a manner that if they don't pay enough, they have to pay for additional service. I paid for me to be able to do minimal and basic accounting a payroll. That should be covered.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
We appreciate ***** ******* reaching out to Intuit through the Better Business Bureau (BBB). However, the BBB is not a support channel for Intuit. It sounds like they may be experiencing some issues with one of our products, and we want to help.
Intuit has a team of experts who are well-prepared to help resolve any issues you might be facing. Please have them follow one of the two steps below, depending on their situation:
1.) If they have not yet contacted Intuit Support, please have them visit *********************************************.
2.) If theyve already worked with Intuit Support, have not reached a resolution, and have a case number, have them reply to this complaint with the Intuit case number and we'll look into it further for them.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The person I initially contacted did no provide me a case number. However, I went ahead and contacted them via the avenue in this response and it turns out I likely was not speaking with an Intuit or quickbooks person at all. It was likely a scammer. *****, helped me this time around and was able to explain to me what likely happened and that my account is fine and no additional fees are every asked of Intuit or quickbooks unless I am wanting additional features. Thank you so much!

My company is signed up for the Quickbooks merchant services, which means we are using QB to process our customers' credit card payments. I am writing this on 6/19, and as of 6/5, two weeks ago, QBO has been withholding ALL of our deposits. That is over $30,000 in deposits now, and I have had to drawn down a line of credit to be able to pay our vendors. Apparently, this was caused by my recent purchase of the company (no change in legal name or structure, it was an equity purchase), and me changing the bank account the deposits were going to. Again, all we needed to change was the destination bank account, which was pretty easy to do.On the 5th I got an email saying "we were able to verify some, but not all, of your Quickbooks account information". OK, cool, I didn't immediately realize they were going to hold my deposits, so I took a few days to respond. Once I did understand deposits were being held, I answered the request for information - and the email and their form says they will review with ***** hours. They did not. I called after 48 hours, and a lady said this was a "back office" function, and there is no way to get someone who can help me on the phone. Soon after we talked, I received another email, asking for information such as the driver's license of the previous owner. I can't provide that, and there is no reason to - it is obvious that the "back office" doesn't really know what they are looking for or even who they are talking to. After two more days I got on a chat with customer service again to try and force a resolution. They, essentially, said trust the process. Well, still no movement on their side, and Quickbooks is sitting on tens of thousands of dollars, and refusing to engage with me to clarify whatever they need to. I am now investigating how to get a lawyer involved to recover my money.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
We received the complaint forwarded to us on behalf of Derek Miller. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
We reviewed Derek's issue regarding held deposits totaling over $30,000, which were caused by an update to the bank account associated with their QuickBooks Merchant Services account. After receiving the required documentation, the funds were successfully released, and the merchant account was closed in preparation for a new account setup under the current principal's name.
We thank Derek for bringing this matter to our attention and the opportunity to assist.

Filed my taxes through turbo tax Jan 27. Selected to pay $25 to get my return 5 days early. One problem: if the *** just so happens to "randomly" select you for identity verification.. you never know about it. So here I am, having filed in January and waiting until August apparently for my tax refund.. all the while inuit/turbo tax thinks they can still get the $25 if they fulfill the 5 days early deposit. If I have to wait until August or later to get my refund because the *** won't post a date.. why do they get to take $25 when the *** decides to do their job? *** told me on the phone Aug. 4th I SHOULD get the money they owe me. So if inuit gets my money by July 31 they get the $25? And that's not even an official date so.... If my refund is to be deposited December 31st does inuit still get the $25 by depositing the money by December 24th? I don't know what's going on anymore. I keep getting the run around from all parties concerned. Either give me my refund minus $25 or give me my full refund period. I should not have to wait the entire year for this. Especially seeing how I didn't even realize I was supposed to verify my identity because "blah blah something fraud verify identity" until somewhere in May.Business Response

I filed my 2024 tax return with turbo tax and signed up for the early tax return option. My bank has two routing numbers and I put the incorrect routing number, so there was an issue getting my refund. I called to fix this and was given every run around and lie imaginable. They told me their software could not fix the routing number and I would get a paper check instead. I was told the *** did not release the money so it was no turbo taxes fault, I was told I would get a paper check that never came, I had the paper check re issued and it never came. I was given the number to a bank they partner with for refunds, ****************, and their phone system is a never ending IVR loop that will toss you back to TurboTax. I feel duped, lied to, and quite frankly, I feel stolen from.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern,
We appreciate the opportunity to respond. Ms. Dunn filed her 2024 tax return using TurboTax and opted for the early tax return feature. However, she accidentally entered the incorrect routing number for her bank account, causing an issue with receiving the refund. Before I could speak to her regarding her concerns she had resolved her own issue by making an appointment with an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center. At this meeting, the IRS assured her that they would now handle the refund process, bypassing any involvement from TurboTax or the third-party banks. The IRS ensured Ms. Dunn thar her refund would now be processed correctly.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused.
Respectfully,
Sonia

I'm writing to formally document a frustrating and unresolved experience with TurboTax ************* On March 27, I purchased the ************ with 100% Guarantee from TurboTax (Intuit). That same day, I spent several hours on the phone with a tax expert, during which I provided all required documentation. She assured me that my tax return would be filed on my behalf and that there was nothing further I needed to do.I noticed on April 20th that the payment for my owed taxes had not been withdrawn from my account. Concerned, I logged into TurboTax and discovered that there was no record of my return having been submitted. I called TurboTax support and was informed that my taxes had not been filed on March 27, nor had they been submitted before the April 15 deadline. The representative filed my taxes while we were on the phone that day (April 20), but advised me that I would likely receive a penalty notice from the *** for late filing. That day, I submitted a refund request for the $381.65 I paid, since I didnt receive the service. It was quickly denied by an automated email. I called back, and another expert submitted a request through their supervisor, confirmed it was approved, and gave me a claim number.Three weeks passedno refund. I followed up and was told to wait longer. Two more weeks went by, and still no refund. On June 17, I called again. I had now received a $107.26 penalty from the ***. A representative found my original refund was never processed and submitted a new one, promising it would be resolved by weeks end.Ive also submitted a claim for the *** penalty but havent received any update.I am extremely disappointed. I paid for a ************ with 100% Guarantee, and I did not receive the service promised. I am requesting:A full refund of $381.65.Reimbursement for the *** penalty of $107.26.Please escalate this matter appropriately. I would appreciate prompt follow-up and resolution.Sincerely,A Frustrated CustomerBusiness Response

NB: I am resubmitting a complaint that went beyond the 10 day reply period after giving Intuit extra time to resolve it. / Quickbooks offers an integrated checking account thru **************. The account documents are deceptive because they list deposit amount limits but dont mention that there is a 20 check monthly mobile deposit limit. Their own customer service agents dont know about the limit. They also claim you can make deposits at *********************** but in fact the deposit capable ATMs in the greater ******* area are all out of network for *********, and agents at the bank could not identify a single ATM that I can use with this account. ******************** has refused to address the atm issue or to budge on the 20 check limit. I insist they openly share these limitations in the account documents so potential customers dont waste time and money in a system thats not workable for businesses like mine that accept checks.Initial Complaint

I filed taxes with Intuit TurboTax over 6 years. In 2023 I started receiving notices from the *** stating that my return received in 2017 from tax year 2016 was audited and I now owe $2,536.99. I have spent over a year contacting every department at the state of ******* regarding this, I have emailed, I have contacted advocates offices, I have done every thing possible to resolve this issue. I was placed on permanent disability in 2017. I live on fixed income, I am currently homeless, and the one thing that I owned my vehicle had a lien placed on it. I am not sure where else to turn regarding this matter. I have attached some items however I have many items of attempted communication attempts as well as resolve resolutions from 2019 when I resolved a prior tax issue and this was not discussed. I am aware that issues happen, however this is nearly 10 years later with tremendous fees and Intuit charges the same amount to correct that is "claimed" I originally owed around $900. I would like this issue resolved as soon as possible. Please see that I have made and completed prior commitments to *** when I could without issues and without knowledge of fault due to a 2014 intuit tax form error. Also, during medical hardship and life circumstances I did file bankruptcy in 2022. That was paid and discharged, please note also this issue arose after that as well. That is also affecting my life and credit, please assist in the best way possible as soon as possible.Business Response
