1 starI used TurboTax's online tool to file my ************** Tax returns. Those returns were rejected due to an error in TurboTax's software, which TurboTax claims will be resolved in a future release, delaying my returns (and refund). I asked for my $40 to be refunded, and received the following: "We are unable to process the refund for TurboTax Online product Case #xxxxxx because our Satisfaction Guaranteed policy only covers TurboTax CD/Download products. TurboTax Online is designed not to charge the customer until after they choose to file, so it is not covered under the Satisfaction Guarantee."I had no idea that my return would be rejected or delayed until after I paid. TurboTax indicated the return was accurate; but it turns out it is not, and until they resolve on their end, I cannot submit my taxes. This is maddening, and despite being a longtime user of **********************, I will look to move my business elsewhere next year if they cannot stand by their product.Review fromAlexandra J

1 starUsed turbo-tax for several years. Recently got a notice that Turbo Tax did something wrong on my state taxes in 2019, which cost me $1250 in taxes, late fees and interest. Contacted Turbo Tax as I had purchased audit protection that year and they offer a lifelong guarantee on their tax preparation. After sending everything in, within one day they closed the my case saying 2019 is too long ago and they can't help. So warming, STAY AWAY from Turbo Tax. Their guarantee is worthless but they are of course happy to take your money for audit protection, but then wont actually help. Not my fault my state didn't go over my taxes till just now. Also, their software can't even handle something as basic as the sale of a house and do that correctly for the state, where the capital gain tax exclusion allowed federally isn't allowed (in **** What an (expensive) joke. STAY AWAY!Review fromSattar K

1 starI wish I could give Intuit's customer service zero stars because one star is far too generous for the abysmal experience I had. Dealing with Intuit's support was akin to navigating a labyrinth of frustration, incompetence, and indifference.Let's start with the wait times. Attempting to reach a representative felt like dialing into the ******* Triangle. I spent what felt like eons on hold, listening to the same soul-crushing elevator music on repeat, only to be unceremoniously disconnected or transferred to the wrong department. When I finally did manage to speak with someone, it was abundantly clear that I knew more about their products than they did. Instead of providing solutions, they regurgitated scripted responses that were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. It was as if they were reading from a manual written in a language only they understood, leaving me more confused than before. But the cherry on top of this dumpster fire of an experience was their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Instead of addressing my concerns with empathy and urgency, they treated me like an inconvenience, ******* me off the phone without resolving a single issue. To add insult to injury, their online support was equally atrocious. Submitting a ticket was like throwing a message into the void, never to be seen or heard from again. It's as if they have a team dedicated to ignoring customer inquiries. In conclusion, if you enjoy wasting your time, being treated like a second-class citizen, and banging your head against a brick wall, then by all means, give Intuit's customer service a whirl. But if you value your sanity and dignity, steer clear of this customer service black hole at all costs. ********************, you should be ashamed of yourselves.Review fromAdam B

1 starBad Product. Bad Service. Seeking Refund.I bought the TurboTax product. Downloaded to my desktop. Then, it will not eFile. Found out Intuit lied to me about my 2022 taxes having been filed. I cannot file my 2023 taxes. Then, they told me I then worked with two different agents over a two hour period trying to sync my desktop and on-line versions. TOTAL C*** DO NOT BUT THIS PROUCTReview fromGeorgeann D

1 starI started filing my claim on line for the basic charge and didnt realize I made a mistake somewhere along the line with their pushy sales tactics and must have hit the premium button by accident. Needless to say they charged me an additional $40.After90 minutes on the phone trying to get a refund for this additional money I was as denied. There product is good but there sales tactics are deceptive. Be very careful before paying for the online filing.Review fromPhilip V

1 stari was over charged for consulting fees and charged for return at best buy and hours within their support team they admitted that it's their software That was not allowing previous year return information and would return my money from best buy in a email but then closed the email. also addmited they charged me for the consulting fees for my time to explain and prove that it was their own company software problem to only say i had to fix it myself again to be b closed again and in the end cost me over 20 hours of needless busy work to what was supposed to be only 49. dollars but cost me almost 300 and hours of time within cable company untrained employes and management. always saying or sending a email to fix their errors. i have used Turbo tax for over 15 years and know now they like most of big corporate ******* who has not protected my identity and secured information now uses tactics of confusion and policies to get help but a phone call isn't any help but helping take more time and money to want just pay my taxes and avoid there the service they said you get and then charge you 6 times more stealing more of my rightful over paid tax bill. do not ever use Turbo tax again before you get taken like myself.every time i call they only waste my time to never what they know and admit too in a effective communication of a phone call to complete in an ineffective email of words to hours of wasted time on phone and email words. Words are 7 % of effective communication is why they only want email as the tool after the phone call 38% effective communication. CEO of our country and control of our information and their paid lobby to have laws passed is legal control and theft of us working class to never have a healthy boundary balance to be in full control to destroy our country little by little till all our voices or injustice is continued. *************************Review fromDonna M

1 starI have had issues with Intuit/Quick books for years. You can never get anyone to help you, call back, and when they do are not able to understand or resolve the issue. I can not even give them updated cc information to continue to keep product. This is literally a joke anymore.Review fromRobert P

1 starThe online program selected the Online Live Deluxe version and i thought it was the new price for this years Deluxe version, so i paid it thinking it was too much and i would not use their product next year. The wording in the program during the selection process, which is repeatedly driven by the program is misleading and ambiguous. The following day I received an advertisement email stating what the deluxe program should have cost me. I requested a refund for the difference in what I should have paid for the deluxe versus online Deluxe and they refused. I never used any of the services offered by the live version. I also did not require the Deluxe Version, but at least understood how they roped me into that one. I feel like their software is now taking advantage of senior citizens among others, by offering it for free then behind the scene directing them to high price versions that they do not need, as well as not providing refunds for versions that they are fully aware was not used.Review fromDominic D

1 starAwful customer service/support. Completely incompetent and take 0 inititiative to provide good service. I asked very clear questions and they misinterpret and answer some completely different question, I spent 2 hours explaining my question in extreme detail and STILL could not get the incompetent support person to understand my challenge. They just kept saying the same thing over and over again which was unrelated to my question, I dunno if it's something lost in translation or they are really this dumb but needless to say it was NOT HELPFUL in solving my problem with their software.Review fromRandy M

1 starI purchased the physical tax software from a local retailer for $60 which should be good for use on 5 computers and which includes 1 state download for filing. My state is **. My father installed the physical disc on his computer. He used the code provided with the disc and had no issues. When I tried to load this onto my laptop after he had used the physical disc, which my laptop does not have a CD-ROM, I need to download the software from their website using the code in the package. I was unable to download the software because the physical disc was used to download the software already. I spoke with customer service and they refused to allow me to download the software onto my computer, even though the code was only used one time and was already paid for and should be good for 5 computers. I fail to understand how a company that deals with digital products cannot allow the code to be used on the use of the physical disc and also on a download from their website. They clearly have access to how many times the code has been used. I also fail to believe that they are not doing this purposely to collect additional funds from customers. This company is a complete scam. They are charging folks for products they already purchased. Buyer beware with this company. My tax filing through the website ended up costing me nearly $200 including state filing of $60. I will move my business to someone else from now on and I recommend that everyone steer clear of Intuit. They have progressively gotten worse in their tactics and customer service over the last 5 years or so. This is evidenced from the VERY low rating they have here.
