I was lied tricked by Turbo Tax! Only reason I used them was because of the free filing and advance refund I already had a credit karma account but I didnt use it until I linked with turbo tax because they said I would get an advance if I met the requirements. And I did but when I got to the end when signing, I never was asked if I like to receive the advance refund and they charged me $180 to file! False advertising and bad business. **************** is a joke they know nothing, I knew as much probably more than them. They couldnt tell u anything without u giving them permission to remote in ur account then they are only reading what u can see in ur application back to u!!! I wanna talk with the **** the head hog in charge the owner of this scam of a trashy company!

I have tried to file my taxes with TurboTax but keep running into an error. It wont let me file because there is an error on your state return. Every time I deselect what they say is the issue it still wont let me file citing the same issue. My refund was denied because satisfaction guarantee doesnt apply to online file. Who uses CDs anymore. Everyone files online. Your error in the program is preventing me from getting the product I already paid for! Then you deny my refund because I filed online instead of using a CD like its ****? Save yourself the trouble and use a good company.

Intuit Turbo Tax 2023 continues their bait and switch and is still not fully disclosing fees. On the ***** packaging for the CD they do not disclose whatsoever the $20 efiling state fee (you find this out after hours of preparation, during efiling process for federal. To the average person whats on the package front means you dont pay to efile federal NOR one STATE of your choice. The expectation with your product use is for a user to efile all returns.)I first learned of the fee when I filed federal last night, and you offered $20 for me to efile state - I went back to scour the packaging, and at the very bottom back, in extremely fine gray ultra tiny print on dark gray background (thats unreadable- you literally need a magnifying glass): It deceptively and vaguely says early efiling is $20 - it does not actually ever define early. This isnt readable in a store setting. Im not joking about needing a magnifying glass. Come on Intuit - this only creates more deception and distrust. You should state the e-filing fee verbiage for state on the package right ON ***** with the federal plus state text (ex $20 to efile 1+ state, but free filing if you print and mail). You have no notation or any hint on the front, there is a state efile cost. You should also state this in your program, at the time you elect to download your first state (which I did when I installed the federal program from your disc).Put another way: the program - in my case there are two adults at home here filing - each file a federal and a state (one, same state download). So the expected $119 turbo tax cost for the household is REALLY $159.

Turbotax is the worst online tax preparation company out there. It's fine as long as it works, but if you need help at ANY time, forget it. Someone attempted to file a bogus tax return using my information with a different email address. I reported the incident to law enforcement. Turbotax has refused to cooperate and subpoenaed information that could help resolve the case. Don't do business with them.

Why? Why did I even try using this service again? It was a big and expensive year for me so I opted for the full service. By the time I was done 2/3rds of my return went toward form and filing fees - over $450 dollars, which is their 'discount' pricing!! After I paid, I reviewed my return and immediately saw my interest income was wrong and needed to be corrected. That's something so simple, now I'm paranoid there are other mistakes that I can't so easily catch. On top of this I have to file one of my returns by mail, little to no explanation as to why. After I paid my expert has given me no communication on what my next steps are and what/where I need to mail my return(s?). There was also a penalty fee on my residential state because all my income tax went to my employer's state. She didn't mention it at all, or the credit I need to apply for in order to sort it out. She was just going to let me pay it I guess. Some 'Full refund guarantee'. Of course Intuit doesn't have a customer service line I can file a complaint with, or if they do they're hiding it well. I'm so annoyed. At least I can use this year's example to never, ever have to deal with their spotty professionals again. This is a scam, a complete scam on the American people. What's the sense in a refund if the bulk of it goes toward greedy, lobbyist 3rd party companies like Intuit. So gross.

Filed taxes with Turbo Tax as I have done for 20+ yrs...I filed again the same way I have every year. I'm expecting my refund to be deposited to my bank account (just like previous years) except this time I get hit with $117 by some 3rd party bank called SBTPG LLC. I saw no mention of this when I filled out the options for receiving my refund, nor had this happened in prior years past. I'm looking online and see that I'm not alone and that this has been going on with many customers and complaints for some time. I would have never agreed to this. I will not be using Turbo Tax again if they're going to aid and abet some 3rd party scum bank to charge hidden fees & not be upfront about it. I already paid Turbo the filing charges. There was never any mention of getting hit again by some 3rd party rip off bank for handling my refund I never asked for. Do Better

Horrible customer service this year! I have ProSeries with them. I had issues with the software. I talked to 2 agents. The first one it was obvious she had no clue. The second I hoped he knew what he was doing. He uninstalled my software and TOTALLY screwed it up! I wasted 5 hours on the phone and several hours fixing his error! I had to get a computer expert in to fix what they screwed up. No one this year is trained! Now my payments are going to another persons account! I called got hung up on 3 times! The last guy promised me he would not disconnect me. No lie I was on hold for 1 hour while he researched. He never came back with any updates and then he disconnected me! This is my busiest time. I am so behind doing taxed because I have to deal with this AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Plus thier price is one of the highest in the industry. So upset!!!!!!!!!!

I had another delayed invoice payment that was in review for 9 days. Not able to communicate with someone making actual decisions. ********** center gets put in the middle of it. They asked for utility bills, driver license, 6 MONTHS of bank statements, contact info for payer. I'm not giving 6 months of very private data over, and they have deposited to that account already. They also draw the subscription on that account for years. I gave them everything else. After multiple calls, the last one today I said, "when this payment clears, I have to go somewhere else to do invoicing." 5 minutes later, my payments account was closed. I called back, and asked if those people listen in on our calls. She said, "yes". They can listen, but can't speak. That just caused me major problems. If you're at Inuit, pull up my calls. Listen to them. I wasn't rude. I needed information, and instead I got cancelled. I can't believe that just happened. I'm in shock, and have to go figure out how to get this payment sorted. The decision seemed oddly personal. Shame.

I spent over 2 hours and more than $100 to e-file using TurboTax. At the very end of the process the site redirects me to their Intuit site and asks me to log in with a password that I don't know and I can't seem to find any way whatsoever to reset! What a scam! They sure didn't need this password BEFORE they Took My Money or BEFORE they had me connect my bank account to CreditKarma which is another one of their companies. After the sudden loss of my partner, it's been a bit of a struggle to support our family, now me and our two children, on my own. I certainly can't afford to throw away $100 nor the 4 hours of time I've now spent. If this matter is not resolved quickly, I will be looking into whatever legal action I need to take to rectify this!

On Monday, February 12, ****, I filed my taxes with TurboTax. Upon signing into my TurboTax account I was brought directly to the filing portion. I completed filing my taxes by myself without any live assistance and upon check out I was charged for Premium Live Assistance, totaling $229.The price for premium without live assistance is $83. This is the price I should have been charged. This price can be located at several retail stores ******** BJS, **************** etc.) At no point during the tax filing process was I offered this option I was automatically brought to Premium Live Assistance charges.I contacted TurboTax and was advised to fill out a refund request. I completed the refund request form and explained the situation and incorrect charges. On Tuesday, February 13, ****, I received an email from TurboTax stating that the refund request was denied because it is a non-refundable product. I proceeded to call TurboTax and was connected to a supervisor.I explained the situation to the supervisor and was told to fill out a refund request form again. I told the supervisor I already filled out a refund request form and received an email stating that the product was non-refundable. At this point the supervisor advised me that this is correct. I asked the supervisor if this was common practice to just keep referring customers to the refund request knowing nothing would come of it. He just advised me thats all he could do. I then asked if there was anyone above him I could talk to about this situation. He told me there was not. I then asked for the supervisors name. He stated his name was *** and would not provide me with a last name or any other information to take this incident further.
