There is much difficulty in my freeing up from the company, Home Warranty Services, *************, **********. Over the phone, I signed up for services during the afternoon, March 20, 2024, and 5 hours later, reconsidered and stopped payment, and days later, March 24, I fully cancelled with their ********************** When I cancelled, that staff person begged me to receive their pamphlet in the mail. I accepted with the understanding that I had cancelled their services. Days later, I received the pamphlet and quickly recycled it, and I felt satisfied that I was finished with Home Warranty Services.Yesterday, April 22, 2024, I received a text message from Home Warranty, declaring that I had missed a payment. When I phoned their number to inquire of their mistake, I was told that when I accepted the pamphlet in the mail, I was liable to pay Home Warranty. I said that is fraud, and I want to take this up with Better Business Bureau. I continue to receive text messages from this company, even though I have blocked their numbers. Please, may there soon be my closure with Home Warranty Services, and may all charges be cancelled with no further contact from this company in the future.. *********, *************************, *******, ****Business Response

On 3/22/2024 I was mislead into purchasing a sham warranty package for my newly purchased home. I was charged a down payment of 100$ that day and told the service would be 240$ a month. Which would include coverage for several appliances supposedly. I never received any correspondence from the company. No packet with my policy info or number, no real way to file a claim, etc. They don't even have a website or mailing address. As a new home owner, I fell prey to their stupid tactics. With all of the dozens of "final notice" letters that looked like they were associated with my lender. Who also confirmed they were not. Now they ******* me with threatening calls and texts.Business Response

I cancelled the home warranty service on 2/19 and was issued a refund to my bank account. Then on 3/2 they took another $276.39. I have called and called to get this problem resolved. I spoke with ********************* with the company on 4/2 and he told me that my check was going to be on the way. Then I called back 2 weeks ago and was told my money would be here by 4/24. Then this morning a guy called me to tell me that it will be 5 to 6 weeks before my check gets here. I have gone round and round trying to get my money back.Business Response

July 12th 2023 I paid $5,155.00 They were supposed to provide me with a 5-year home warranty service I never received a welcome packet detailing what the warranty covered nor did I receive any kind of information on how to file a claim I called them up several months later asking them to provide this information they sent me out a generic sample but not my actual contract with them I'm still trying to get information on how to actually use this warranty serviceBusiness Response

I purchased a *********** contract on 3/14/24. A deposit of $295.00 was paid. I called to cancel this contract within the allowable 30 days which was the time period to be reimbursed for the down payment. The cancellation terms are clearly stated on pages 15 and 21 of the Agreement booklet. I called several numbers noted in the booklet as well as the claims number on my membership card. This contract is managed by MEPCO. The booklet says that the contract can be cancelled by sending MEPCO a termination notice. I sent the both a letter and an email to cancel this contract. I called several times requesting cancellation and was told that someone would call me back. I never heard from anyone at *********** or MEPCO. The only way I could prevent additional payments was to cancel the credit card affiliated with this purchase. I did so on 4/5/24.Business Response

The company sold a home warranty policy to my 83 year old mother with dementia and Alzheimers disease. I called them and told them this and canceled the policy. They requested a ***** of ******** which I provided. They are calling and texting my mother and myself every day for a 1 month payment of $296.00. I canceled the policy immediately and do not owe anything. We are being harassed!!!!!!Business Response

I unintentionally accepted an offer over the phone for a home warranty. The information was confusing and misleading. After receiving the purchase confirmation email, I immediately called the number on the email to cancel and get a refund but could only reach an "over-flow" representative who took my number and said I would get a call back. I never received a call back. I called many different days and times and would only reach an overflow representative. I asked why and they said the call center had too many calls at that time. I believe this is a tactic to hinder efforts to cancel. I want this warranty cancelled immediately and the $295 deposit refunded. The policy # is Policy #***********. I contacted this business and was basically bullied into spending $100. I was told I could not get off of the phone as the warranty would be canceled and it would red flag my address meaning I could not get coverage anywhere else. I was not able to make a decision other than paying them in order to do more research. After getting off the phone the research has proven that this is a scam and I do not want this policy. I tried contacting customer service to cancel and they have not been helpful. I am looking to both ensure the policy is cancelled and get a refund of the $100.Business Response

I just moved and received multiple letters, when I finally moved in I saw a final notice letter explaining that my home warranty would be out of date if I did not call by the 29th, I called the 29th of March since thats when I opened the letter. I was pushed into securing a deal with a $100 deposit after being told I had to do this and I would regret not signing up. I was unsure what to do and I was transferred to the manager ******************* and he explained that if I did not set up payments my home would be red flagged. I set up payments and was pushed by ***** in verification to say yes and finish. When I was transferred back **** reassured me that I could shop around and cancel within 30 days. I called Saturday the 30th to cancel after additional research and concern and I was told I had to call back Monday and the man I spoke to was quick to get me off the phone. I do not feel comfortable with how I was transferred back and forth and could not cancel with an employee who had the same capabilities as **** (extension 1617) I would like the cancellation of my services as soon as possible.Business Response
