Guys, this company is a scam. I received a letter in the mail marked urgent stating that the home warranty associated with my mortgage lender was about to expire. Scared, I signed up and noticed that the second payment went through a third party company. Concerned about my information being sold, and after doing research on the company, I decided to cancel after the second payment went through my bank. I also called my bank to see if they were affiliated with this home warranty group, and they knew nothing of it. It took forever to get a live person - the website message link doesnt work. I was finally able to get ahold of a live person and cancelled the policy before the next payment was due. The guy on the other end was extremely pushy trying to get me to keep the policy and I had to tell him over and over that I dont want anything else to do with the company, just cancel it. The guy in the cancellations department eventually and reluctantly honored the simple request and CONFIRMED the policy was cancelled. NOW, after cancelling, I get nearly daily phone calls and messages harassing me about payment. I think the only way to get this through to the company to leave me alone is to file this review. My customer ID is: ********** . Leave me alone, stop harassing me, Ive already cancelled the policy which was CONFIRMED that it was cancelled. If it keeps up, I will have to resort to legal action.Home Warranty Services

Okay I just received a reply about the cancellation, and literally, just now at 7:00 PM EST time on 5/1/23, I received ANOTHER harassing phone call from this company. The lady on the other end confirmed yet again that my policy was cancelled, and I told her that this company keeps harassing me and to remove me from all texts and phone call lists. She said she would speak with her manager. I will get the authorities involved for harassment if I get another text or phone call. I am documenting and recording all calls and texts as well. This has to STOP.Review fromBrandon L

1 star0 STARS. SCAM. Wasted 25 minutes of my time on the phone with *****. Trying to sell me some bogus warranty because of a high incident report on plumbing and electrical issues in my area costing $3,000-$6,000. Price for warranty was $495 down payment while on the phone with reoccurring $399 a month. I told him the warranty we got when we bought the house is a 15 month coverage that covers that and expires July 2023. He didnt like that and said they wont cover expenses that high I pulled up BBB and asked how long they had been in business. ***** said 30+ years I said BBB says 2, not only that your company has a 1.7 star rating and BAM he hung up. I got a call back from a totally different number 3 minutes later from ***** saying sorry our power went out but I still have the file pulled up. After the whole time on the phone the first time he was persistent on telling me if I declined coverage or hung up and didnt make a decision on the phone then the offer was gone. But yet their power goes out and somehow he calls me back from a totally different phone number, different area code and everything and still has my file pulled up. Make it make sense. I told him I hope he feels good scamming hard working people out of their hard earned dollars to provide for his family and hung up.Review fromRosemarie D

Policy #HAS10521544HH On Feb 14, I called Home Warranty because of a letter that I just received telling me to call immediately because my Home Warranty is about to expire. The letter has an account number with USAA under my husband's name who died last year. So, I thought Home Warranty was connected with our USAA Insurance. After a lot of sales talk about how important I need to renew then he asked me whether to charge the initial payment of $295 to a different card (making it sound like the other card my husband uses for auto pay of our USAA Insurance is expired) so I reluctantly gave him my **** card number.I felt uneasy about how I was "tricked" into agreeing, so I check my USAA and it turned out that my Insurance with them is okay but they are not connected with Home Warranty. I called back HW the same day and got their answering service and I left a message requesting the cancellation of the policy. I called several times on different dates and got the same answering service, when a person answers they said that they will send my request to someone at the cancellation ***** I called again on March 14, and a ************** from Billing ? told me after I told him my several requests to cancel the policy that he will send it to the cancellation ***** ***** called me back on March 15, and I told him that I just can not afford to pay both for the HomeWarranty and my *************** He said he is canceling it.I am still being billed by *****. I hope this problem can be resolved.Thank you.Home Warranty Services

PD March of 2023 I received a letter from Home Warranty Services saying our home warranty was expiring. We have a home warranty and I mistook it to be from them and called the number in the letter, ndeed i knew our warranty was about to expire. Talked with a man for about 30 minutes and he said the policy we had for 3 years at $49.99 per month was no longer available. wanted us to take up a policy for $4200 for 3 years. told him at least 3 times we did not want it. He said if we did not take it we would be "red flagged" and not able to purchase this. They also said that they had information that lots of people on our street were having lots of repairs. There is no way they have that information. I said I don't want this policy. 3 days later I received my credit card statement charged for an initial $100.00. I then called the correct number for our home warranty. They knew nothing about this situation. I had to cancel my credit to stop the payments, didn't even try to deal with them. These people need to be stopped.Home Warranty Services

1 starThe letter i received from these thugs tell me all I need to know. It is a fear-mongering letter, with the name of my mortgage holder, the words "FINAL NOTICE!" and "WARNING!" in big bold letters. I've posted it all over social media, I even called them to get who they were so i could find them on BBB. These crooks have to be stopped. It seems that what they are doing may be legal, barely. That's why we must all report these scammers to our family, neighbors and friends. Remember: there is no such thing as an honest home warranty company. Get vendors from recommendations, not from warranty companies who just need a body to send to you. The entire concept is a scam for that one reason.Review fromBukola O

Predatory. Misleading. Disrespectful. Condescending. Rude. Aggressive. Unprofessional. They will send you multiple letters in the mail including a pink notice to scare you. When I called to tell them to stop mailing me, the man that answered was impatient and acted as though this was a service only they could provide and I was missing a time window. They had my bank info on the letters and my bank had told me they had nothing to do with it but the guy said they had to be on my home purchase documents and it was probably just expiring. After getting my money right away and signing me up for what is actually a crazy amount of money in the long-term (American home shield is only about $25/mth), I found that they were no where on my home documents. I tried to cancel right away (March 14). They have given me the run around since then (today is March 23). The number they have is an answering service and they are supposed to call back. Then they tell you to wait to get the document in the mail before cancelling. It didnt come in a week, they said they would send it in my email. I still wanted to cancel. The final call was ugly! The man that answered was pure rudeness, demeaning, disrespectful, personified. He immediately tried to cut me off before the call began, acted as though he could not understand a word I said even with enunciation. When I told him he was being condescending, he only doubled down and tried to gaslight me, telling me I was talking too fast and to calm down take a breath. Cancelling a service (any field or job) should not go this way. He kept asking me why I was cancelling and wouldnt let me talk. Kept being defensive. I hope my refund comes like they said or I will be back. Even if he just works for them, I am unsure why he could not be professional or respectful. The whole experience was just awful. I parked to talk to him and Im writing this right after canceling because of how horrible he was to me.Home Warranty Services

After filing for benefits from Los Angeles County, I received a letter saying my home warranty from a PRIVATE LENDER may be or may have already expired. The issue is, I'm a resident in a transitional housing unit and 3 times removed from the actual property owner, don't have a mortgage in my name and have don't have a warranty agreement with ANY company.Had this mailing been opened by another member of this unit, they may have taken the action HWS has suggested and been fleeced out money they needed to buy things truly essential to survive. This may seem to be some kind of joke to you, maybe your legal team has advised you that you are adequately protected by vague verbiage or perhaps this is just your garden variety con by mail. How would you feel if it were a loved one of yours that got scammed?Home Warranty Services

1 starThis is so dishonest. They send a letter telling you to renew a policy that your lender had on your home. There is no way my mortgage company would buy a home warranty for items in my home. They are targeting seniors - we are 81 yrs old - and know that their offer sounds legitimate. They somehow even knew how old we are. In the letter they say "Please call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU ". Can't you do something to stop this! They want $100 to reinstate the policy and then $224+ a month for 18 months to cover for 3 years. Really!Review fromBeard Simon
