Birdeye scammed me. First their salesman promised me their software does the exact thing yext does like compres all duplicate directories and correct inaccurate information online and keep all the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 50 directories accurate and consistent. It never happened! Ever since they attatched their software to my ****** profile I had lost exposure! All I had was the salesman telling me if he ever told me these things while selling their product to me, that he is sorry. Sorry dont pay my bills nor help me rank higher on ******. What a big disappointment and waste of money. I want to cancel my service based on their bate and switch tactics to get you to sign on with their contract!Business Response

We paid Bird Eye for a full year in advance. I was told by the initial sales person that they would get us more online reviews. For the first few month they were attentive to our listing, which resulted in about 12 more reviews. About midway of the subscription, it seems like they try to get me to self manage our business on their platform. I requested that they refund a part of my money. We do not need Bird Eye if $3120 is what we pay for about a 12 review increase. Moreover, their effort to try to coach me into doing what they should be doing for the amount of money that they changed us is unfair. They refused to refund a part of our money, when I requested it. No, I would not recommend. Furthermore, I am reverting to what we was doing before we paid Bird Eye. Which means, we are going to continue sending out our own ****** review requests without them and also continuing our social media post. ****** and social media platforms are free to use. Bottom line, our money could have been used for a charity instead. The money was not the issue, Bird Eye's performance was.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:We have spent excessive time trying to convince Bird Eye that about 10 reviews are too much for us to pay about $3400 for. We believe that because we paid in advance, Bird Eye is taking advantage of us and their tactic is to waste more our valuable time hoping that we will just go away. Getting additional reviews via ****** is free and requires very little work. In our opinion, with Bird Eye, you pay them and you do the work in order to get reviews. It seems that they may consolidate them on their platform, which we think mostly helps them. For free to get ****** reviews, we did the less work and it is where customers look for businesses.
To Bird Eye, as stated in our previously request to you, your services were
insufficient for our business. You have been over paid, paid in
full, in advance. About $3400 is too much to pay for about 10 reviews,
which we could have gotten for free via ******. A fair business
would at least consider not being partial with it's self. We are
very concerned that you refused to ***** us a partial refund as we
requested.

I am rejecting this response because:As I stated previously, Bird Eye has not increase our number of reviews enough to have earned our payment in full of over $3000. Perhaps, their system may have contributed to approximately *********************************************************************************** to do work that they should be doing for our hard earned money. I would not recommend this platform and suggest that customers use ******** free service. We paid Bird Eye in US dollars. How could they give a credit for money they did not earn, if they are offering more of their deficient services on their platform? I do not think that they take this matter serious and do not mind wasting more of our time. They have not earned the money that they charged us.

I had a one year contract with Birdeye. Before the one year was up I emailed them to cancel the contract. They Ignored my request and continued to charge my *********** credit card. I showed *********** my emails asking Birdeye to cancel my account. They told me I need to send them a copy of the contract with Birdeye. I told them that was Birdeye responsibility. *********** would not refund my funds nor would Birdeye stop charging my card! I canceled my credit account with ***********. DO NOT! sign up with Birdeye you will regret it!Also, Their customer service is terrible and what they do offer is not worth the cost!Business Response

Trying to cancel my account with this company. They enroll you in auto renew without notice. I told them I want the account canceled and they said I needed to write a letter withing 90 days of my auto renew in order for them to cancel the account. I never enrolled in auto renew and they never send out notice that a renewal date is coming up. I emailed and called several times and they won't let me cancel my membership. This is a horrible and shady company. I want my membership canceled.Business Response

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the ongoing unsolicited calls I have been receiving from representatives associated with Birdeye. It has come to my attention that these calls are being directed to my personal cell phone number, which was not provided to your organization. Despite my explicit requests on three separate occasions to be removed from your contact list and to cease further communication, the calls persist. I have taken the precautionary measure of blocking each number previously used, yet it appears that new numbers are continually employed, causing a disruption to my routine on a weekly basis. I wish to emphasize that I have never engaged in any business transactions with Birdeye. The repeated unsolicited calls, coupled with the refusal to respect my requests for cessation, have regrettably left me with a negative perception of your company. Dear BBB,I entered into a one-year contract and realized in two days that the product is not useful for our school, because we have a very good online presence. All I wanted the company to do was change me to a monthly contract, so I could cancel after the first month.One of the company's representatives said that a monthly contract is possible. I have never used the product. In September 2022, I subscribed to Birdeye for my business, purchasing 10 licenses. However, by late December 2022, my business partner and I decided to close our business. Upon requesting to reduce our commitment from 10 licenses to 5, Birdeye informed us that this was not possible. Subsequently, I was denied access to my account.Despite being locked out, Birdeye continued to bill me, accumulating charges of $6,800 over six months. I understand ongoing charges if the service was accessible, but I was completely unable to use it during this period.Moreover, Birdeye referred my account to a collections agency, which employed intimidating tactics, including threats to contact various unrelated third parties and delve into public records. This approach seemed more like harassment than a legitimate attempt to resolve the issue.The agency's communications extended beyond me, involving former employees and subcontractors, many of whom are no longer associated with my business. This scattergun approach to debt collection is both inappropriate and distressing.In a recent communication, Birdeye offered to waive the old debt only if I committed to a new 1-year contract and paid $10,000 upfront. This proposition is unreasonable and feels like coercion, especially since I was denied service for half a year.I have always been willing to settle any justified debts but billing me for services not rendered is unfair. While I initially found Birdeye's software and customer service satisfactory, their handling of billing has been extremely disappointing and stressful.I am seeking the BBBs assistance to resolve this matter fairly, to have the erroneous bills dropped, and to address the aggressive and inappropriate collection tactics employed by Birdeye and its collection agency.Business Response
