I purchased an HP printer in 2023 and initially used the ink cartridge that came with it. After that, I switched to third-party ink, but I did try HP's Instant Ink program for about three months. However, I found that the plan wasn't a good fit for me, which was roughly 8 months ago. Since then, Ive been using third-party ink without any issues.Last week, however, ** pushed a firmware update to my printer, locking me out unless I used their ink. I was informed that I had somehow enrolled in a program that required me to use their ink, something I wasn't aware of. Now, my HP printer is essentially useless unless I'm willing to pay $87.99 for HP ink, compared to the $47.99 I paid for third-party ink.I strongly recommend staying away from ** due to their anti-consumer practices.

As a 30+ year customer of ** for all my printers since mid 80's, I made a mistake and bout their latest model at the time which worked with WiFi! What a mistake... Since then for everything and nothing I have to call them and reset the printer, reconnect to the system, etc. even after changing a simple toner cartridge, I had to call them and be on line for good 1 to 1.5 hour each time! What a waste of a product and company who has slew of printers out with lower and lower quality year by year!My old M1217 still works fine, so I bout a cable from **, connected that to my new "wireless" printer with their instructions! and that didn't work either. So as you guess, I am still on hold, listening to their jingles, as they are experiencing a higher than normal volume... go to our AI or online... (: O what a joke they are...My advice, DO NOT TRUST Hewlett Packard, unless you want to create a new friendship with their tech support with long chats every few weeks or months... and are very patient and calm person... I am not surprised with all the 1 stars that I see below my note!

I have had HP printer for several months now. I have always had problems with its printing capabilities even before I cancelled the subscription. They fail to tell you that they will keep your printer hostage if you cancel the subscription since the subscription cartridges are tracking all your information and keep sending you so-called necessary items. I had been sent two shipments that I paid for but cannot use since I canceled the subscription. They do not tell you this (or I have not seen the correct wording for this procedure) in any of the information. The tried to tell me that because of this is the reason why the printer is not working, BUT THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED BEFORE THE SUBSCRIPTION WAS CANCELLED. I would like to have a full refund but do not see that as an option so Im hoping someone will file a class-action against them. This practice needs to stop since it being mis represented and people are losing money from faulty equipment.

I brought a basic HP printer 2 years ago. Had signed up for the ********. The printer stopped working after several months, Never requested ink one time. My husband noticed a charge on his credit card for the ink club. Was charged for over 2 years for ink for a broken printer and once never requested a refill for. Cancelling the service was a pain in the #$%@. The gentlemen continued to try to get me to pruchase things printers etc. Then said let me make it right I can waive the last payment whoopie $5 how about the 2 years of payments for no ink requested.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WILL NEVER BUY HP PRODUCTS AGAIN.....

I have used HP laptops and printers for the past 30 years. I was always fond of the quality and reliability. Recently, I purchased a Spectra ***************** Very similar to one I currently have except it is the newer version. The Laptop: I called the tech support at least a dozen times in a year, spending tremendous amounts of down time. In brief: 1- HP sold me a defective Laptop.2- ** completed all the diagnostics and was not able to repair it.3- HP sold me a warranty and now refuses to HONOR its warranty by 4- Sold me a Car Package $ 169 premium to be renewed annually.Refusing to replace the defective product and offered to cancel instead the Care Package and refund the Care Package / warranty money. In conclusion I find HP Incorporated's course of action to be immoral, unethical, and likely illegal.I intend to report this incident. I intend to report the incident to BBB .

They will extort you for money to use their products and subscriptions. If you stop a subscription they will make your product stop working.
