      Subject: Frustrating Experience with SunPower in Queens, ******** I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience as a SunPower customer in Queens, ********. Despite consistently paying $118 per month for the solar lease, my frustration has been growing due to recurring issues.For six out of the past twelve months, SunPower claimed that we exceeded our expected energy usage. This led to exorbitant bills from Con ******, with charges reaching as high as $580 and $800. In response, we made numerous calls to SunPower, desperately requesting them to send someone to inspect our inverter and other equipment. However, the customer service we received was extremely poor, and our pleas fell on deaf ears.Shockingly, SunPower insisted that we should pay for a technician to diagnose the issue ourselves. This unreasonable stance added to our frustration and left us feeling helpless. We are now trapped in a lease agreement with no viable way to break free without incurring substantial penalties.This experience has left me deeply disappointed and disheartened. I urge SunPower to reconsider its approach to customer service and to provide a more reasonable resolution to our ongoing issues. As a loyal customer, I expected better support and reliability from a company of SunPower's reputation.Sincerely,***********************

      I built a system 110% of my energy needs and as of today 10/3/2023 Im nowhere near 70% of my needs which means Im going to have to pay at the end of the year. The representative **************** who sold me the system ******************** has not returned my calls or texts to explain to me this misrepresentation of the factsIm 17k in the whole and nothing to show for. ????

      SunPower is a SCAM company. Unfortunately, I had to give 1 star but they dont even deserve ZERO. I can safely say that SunPower is the most pathetic company working inside *************. They just need your money but once they install their pathetic system, they will never come back to fix it. I have a case open with them for months now and yet to find any resolution. Their favorite line is Our Database team is still working on your issue. I have called them so many times but they dont give a **** to their existing customers.Although, I have solar panels installed at my house by them but still I am paying electricity bill from my pocket for last three months because their SUPER solar panel system is not generating any power. I requested site visit because solar panels are not generating any power but their technical team said that doesnt qualify for a site visit. Just imagine the level of scientist they have in their team!! After hundreds of calls, I was finally able to get my case escalated but then I came to know that their escalation department ***** even more. Unfortunately, being an existing customer, I am stuck with them. I feel helpless because of their unprofessionalism but I would highly encourage new customers to avoid the most pathetic company on the face of this earth.I am still surprised like others how a company of this low standard can exist in modern day world!!!

      This is not a company that I would do business with again.That being said there were a few hard working and reliable people that I worked with during the installation of my solar panels. Two in particular: ****** in ************* and *******, our Project Coordinator, both worked hard and accomplished their jobs with excellence. The actual panels on the roof are functional, and probably within company standards, but not aesthetically pleasing and definitely not as I requested. To change it now would require patching my roof which in the end wouldn't be any more satisfactory. Just something I'll have to live with.This company will promise the moon but never quite live up to it. There are those that will even lie directly to you, telling you that they delivered on what you were promised, when they did not. They tell you that they can do something when they dont have anyone in the company capable of accomplishing the task. Fighting with them to finish a job that they are not capable of is fruitless and only risks damaging any previously installed equipment. I finally realized that, and will pay another, more qualified, company come finish the job.

      I telephoned Sunpower to schedule for someone come to my house and have the meter panels removed from the house walls so that my contractor can replace the house siding. I was told that it is an out-of-pocket service and some manager will get in touch with me for scheduling. I'm waiting and waiting, and no one has contacted me. I called them again to be told that I need to now wait for a "code" so they can do a credit check. I can't comprehend why a credit check is necessary and the explanation did not make sense to me. In the meantime, my house walls are exposed to the environment, a contractor just waiting to finish the job and accruing $$$ for waiting to finish and a horrible solar company that refuses to provide service. I informed them that time is of the essence. Their attitude that they are providing a free service to me is insulting when I am the customer and paying them monthly. A simple task has become a complicated issue. Sunpower is failing to provide assistance and don't care.

      New home setup process has been terrible. Closed in July and was given the okay to power up system sometime in Mid-August. Once system was powered on I noticed that we were getting very little solar power and reached out for support. Emailed and got no response. After a couple of calls and emails over two weeks, Sunpower finally admitted that they had a bad batch of parts that had been installed in other homes and that that was likely why the power output was so low. I was traveling for a couple of weeks, so we scheduled a technician for the day after I got back, which required taking time off work, for what I thought was to service the panels and get them working. Day of, technician does not show up and no notice that my appointment had been cancelled. I called in later that day and service rep had a hard time figuring out what happened but basically there was no reason, my appointment had just been dropped. I tried to reschedule, but weekdays are usually not available for me since I do work in office, but customer rep continued to try to schedule a weekday and almost made it seem like it was my fault that we couldn't schedule a time. We eventually hung up with the rep saying they would talk to the tech supervisors to schedule a Saturday, and if possible, would call me back. They never called back. A week later I have called Sunpower and they do have a Saturday appointment available, but with the notes this new customer service rep had, it was like starting at 0. I am now scheduled to have a tech come out next week and start up my system, which we've already gone through. We're now over a month with a solar system that doesn't work and paying electricity out of pocket, so essentially being double charged for energy. I have little to no expectation that this will get resolved before years end. Reading other reviews below, it seems Sunpower knows it has bad inverters and is still installing them anyways and then ghosting their customers come time to replace.

      Maybe I just got lucky, but I have had very good service from SunPower and I am very happy with both the solar system and their service. I do know that when I researched companies before deciding on SunPower, there were numerous comments about the service from various companies depending on where you lived. I don't know where the people who received bad service live, but I do know that PG&E is in northern **********. I live in ******************* and get my electricity through SCE.I would definitely recommend SunPower, but maybe I should only recommend it to people in my area. My system is new and I beat the April 14th deadline and any questions/problems have been handled in a professional manner. No complaints.

      Since May 2023 my Inverter which is under warranty has been diagnosed as needing to be replaced. Fine setup an RMA and get a replacement installed. Seems easy enough. 4 months later after many calls to customer service and a complaint on ******************** an "Escalation Specialist" gets assigned SunPower Case ******** and tries to call me once and doesn't leave a message and no email, after one missed call. I call and leave a message and left email, but nothing but crickets. I don't need an Escalation Specialist I need a simple RMA and replacement *************** Manager. Why can't SunPower just communicate with it's customers? Before the inverter went out, I ordered additional panels to be installed which happened very quickly and SunPower gladly took my money. Mr. ********** Manager, if it was your inverter that went out, you would have an issue having to wait months or even a year to have it replaced. I can probably just order a new inverter and SunPower would gladly take my dollars and install it in a reasonable amount of time. Oct 2023 is coming up and nothing done. I'm hoping when and if the replacement inverter gets installed that SunPower compensates for loss of service. At this point 0 star rating is more appropriate for the lack of service that is expected for a company that touts itself as a top solar company.

      Be Careful!!! Dishonest and trustworthy company. Installed panels in the wrong location and then removed them without saying anything that they made a mistake. Found more mistakes and sloppy workmanship that resulted in roof damage to the garage and home, along with damage to the soffit and garage door. Spent a lot of time between emails and calls to resolve this, and they only wanted to do the minimum. They have not passed the final inspection and will not until all damage is repaired, but they don't care. Communication is terrible, and scheduling is a nightmare. They take advantage of senior citizens!! I would not recommend them to any family or friends. Worst customer service and you are tied to them for an extended time due to lease. It is not worth the added headaches and thousands of dollars of damage they caused.

      I left 1 stars or 0 as a rating because SunPower doesnt deserved anything! Its the most worst customer services I ever had in my life. I just cant believe how the business still runs with all these bad reviews. Why the business hasnt permanently close down yet! Everyone pretty much complains the same things. I am a 10 years customer of **********************. I have fulfilled my financial monthly obligation for over 10 years. Recently I need to get my roof fixed however needed the solar panels removed so work can be started. I had informed SunPower that I needed the solar panels removed due to a roof repair and was told numerous times a work order has been done. This was a month ago. I have repeated call them and yet their answers remained the same :They are busy and that a work order has been placed .I had been paying monthly payments for maintenance and support for over 10 years and they willingly received and took my payments during which I assumed that they will do their part if I needed service that required their help with the solar panels. To date, I have not received any news of anyone from SunPower who could help me nor address my situation.This company has really bad customer service and has failed to meet their part of our agreement. No one from the company seems to know whats going on, yet they will take your monthly payments with no problems. BEWAREthis company is not reputable. It is better to take your business elsewhere rather than invest your hardworking money into a company who cant keep their obligation to their customers.
