On 4/19/23 around 1:30 pm, my daughter took my ***** CX 9 to Quick Quack (QQ) car wash on ************ to be cleaned. While my car was on the conveyor belt inside the wash tunnel, there was either a malfunction or issue with the conveyor mechanism. My car was pushed into the car in front of my car, and the car behind my car was pushed into the rear of my car. Since this is an automatic conveyor system, there was no recourse or way to avoid the collisions. A manager responded, filled out an incident report and gave a copy to my daughter. He noted the damage on the rear of my vehicle and took pictures. Although the customer incident report stated that I would hear from someone within three days, it took several weeks for me to get them to email a report. I read their email today, 5/26/23, and was shocked that they were claiming no responsibility for this incident. The report states that they reviewed the video of the incident and because a vehicle two cars in front of my car did not proceed when the light said Go it was that drivers responsibility. QQ Included a picture of that cars license plate and suggested I call the police or my insurance company. Today, 5/26/23 around noon, I called QQ customer service to discuss this finding. I was told by the lady I spoke with that they dont handle these incidents and that the decision of the Riverdale store manager was final. I find it very hard to believe that there is not some sort of mechanism in place so that when a car is stuck on the tracks or doesnt proceed, situations like this do not occur. I disagree that the driver two cars in front of my car was at fault. Whether they proceeded or not, an employee shouldve been paying attention. All four vehicles were still inside the washing system when this incident occurred.Business Response

Thank you for responding. When I first contacted the BBB, I attached some information about what happened at Quick Quack car wash in *********, ****. Hopefully you have retained that information in my file. If not, please let me know. Quick quack is still denying any responsibility for the damage to my car. The manager stated in his email that the car at the front of the exit line, which lingered after the sign said go, is at fault for the pile up. He reported that according to the video, this particular vehicle was off the tracks and shouldve continued on once the light blinked. go. This may be true, but I contend that my car was still on the conveyor belt and was pushed into the car that quick quack claims is at fault. Then, the car behind my car, which was still on the conveyor belt, was pushed into the back of my car, causing the damage in question. I believe Quick Quack is quite negligent in not doing what was needed to avoid these types of situations, especially as not everyone takes off the second that light says go. I think the car in question was there for under a minute according to the manager of Quick Quack. I hope my case can be reopened as I didnt see the email asking for my response earlier. I am very dissatisfied with a Quick Quacks response to any of this.

I am rejecting this response because: the response to the incident at Quick Quack by store manager ***************** is not acceptable or reasonable. To review: multiple cars were in line inside the Quick Quack car wash tunnel. Cars are on an automatic type conveyor belt as they go through the wash tunnel. A car in front of my car did not exit the end of the tunnel quickly enough which caused my car to be pushed into the vehicles rear end. The car behind me, was then pushed into the rear of my car. Although it was supposed to be within a few days, I finally heard from Mr. **** several weeks later, essentially stating they were taking no responsibility for the damage. I then called QQs customer service and was told by a lady that the store manager has the final word on situations such as mine. I emailed ************ and advised him that in my estimation, QQ did have the responsibility to pay for the damage to my car. I again heard from ************, stating that it was not QQs fault. I have attached pictures of our emails so you may read them for yourself. I find ************** response to this incident unacceptable. QQ should have some sort of mechanism in place to ensure pile *** like this do not happen. My car and the car behind me were pushed along by the conveyor belt and had no other options, but to move forward. There should be some sort of mechanism at the end of the tunnel to ensure things like this do not happen, or at the very least the employees signaling for cars to enter the tunnel should not have them go in one right after the other.

On 5-17-2023 Around 5:30pm I purchased a good car wash like I have numerous times before with this same car, after entering inside the car wash we stopped moving for a minute or two and thought nothing of it however after leaving the car wash I immediately heard scrapping under the front of my car so I pulled into a gas station right next door to the car wash. I looked at the front of my car and my front bumper was completely detached and stuck underneath my car. I immediately went back to ask for a manager to file an incident report, I was told that there was no manager on duty and the employee helped me fill out the customer incident report. My case number is ****** the incident took place at location #**** after filling out the report I was told I would be contacted by a manager within 72 hours and we would continue from there. However I never received a call from a manager in the mean time I called the quick quack customer service and asked what I should do in the mean time to help the process along faster, I was told to get a quote for the damage to send to the manager when the time came. I have a finished quote for the damage and I still have not had any manager reach out to me after a week of being out of my car. I would just like to get in contact with a manager to discuss this incident further thank you.Business Response

I have been going to QuickQuack for the past 10 months. I always ask for the best wash & would tell the person taking my card that I only want it for 30 days. Everytime they take the money out monthly I would call in & ask for a refund. I was told twice today that I received 5-6 ********* should have been told that this is a monthly membership. I was not told until today that I can't get a refund because it is monthly. I ask the first rep I spoke to at 6:55 am why didn't anyone tell me that my card was going to be charged $31.99 monthly? I received a call back from senior **** ****** ***** repeated what the 6:55 am rep told me. I said if I was told that, why would I continue to give my card? If they only give 2 refunds, why would they continue to refund my money? If we can't resolve this, I would like to continue with the complaint. Thank you.Business Response

I was directed to drive into the tire guide at the car wash, but the attendant was distracted. I waited until I saw his eyes, and he guided me in, frowned, and then told me to stop. The conveyor belt did something, and my tire was punctured. I had to call a tow truck, and now I'm stranded. I can't get to my sick mother. I can't get groceries. It ruined my weekend, and I was told it is going to be 3 to 5 days before I hear from anyone. I am furious. I literally have no way to get to anything.Business Response

After my car was washed in the Anteople location, my rear wind shield waper was broken. I immediately spoke with person in the car wash, she took a report and took a photo of my broken wind shield wiper. I was informed that some one from the company would contact me in 2-3 days. After one week and no contacts from Quick Quack I contacted the car wash via the phone. I was told that I had to stop work and go back to the car wash to retreive an incident report. I dropped everything and went to the car wash. The manager informed me that an employee who completes incident reports would contact me ASAP. Thus far, no one from Quick Quack Car Wash has contacted me.Business Response

It is always something with quick credit car wash. They raise the prices without notifying your customers and then lie and said they sent out a email which I know 5 people Is having the same problem that I have been paying for the top wash? They added another name to the top wash. And say you get the same thing with the best wash which you are not the protective coded on your car. You're vehicle you're no longer receiving and they're lieing saying. That you are you could tell when you go to the car wash when the protected seal coat is possible. The light is off if it's not off where the water used to beat up on your car from the protected coat. That you paper. The water just stands on your car and they lying to the customer saying we still get the same thing they just upgraded they upgraded but they downgraded original membership This is what I paid for and I expect to get what I paid for not them. We do apoligze for the confusion on our Best Wash. Yes it will now be our middle wash and the only thing different with out Best wash is we got rid of the Wax and added a new improved Rain X to it. Oher than that the Best wash is the same. Our new top wash will now be our Ceramic Wash. Looks like we have given you a discount to your account for the next few months.Initial Complaint

On March 18th at about 1:50 p.m. in the year of 2023, My vehicle was in the tunnel of the car wash at store ****************************************************************************** While in the dark soapy tunnel I experience several crashings to which I don't know where it was affecting but when all the soapsud stopped and the crashing stopped I saw that the car in front of me had no rear end damage so I thought nothing more of it. However, one of the attendants had to readjust me back on track so I could proceed through the tunnel. After I left the facility I entered the freeway and received a collision sensor alert in addition my brakes were applied. This happens several times on the way home. So when I got home I called to notify the store that the front sensors appeared to now malfunction along with the safety break system. They asked me to come in and file an incident report to which I did the next day. I was reported by the assistant manager on duty ********************* who promptly took my information down and said that they would review the video and let me know the outcome. From that point on I received a runaround between that store and headquarters in ********* **********. They refuse to take responsibility and told me I should file a claim with my insurance company. A few days later I canceled my monthly subscription of this after having almost 2 years of incident free service. I find it frustrating and disheartening that their business model doesn't include incidents such as mine where the customer is not at fault and should be compensated. So consequently I am completely dissatisfied with the customer service in regard to this incident. Thank you in advance for resolving my issue!Business Response

I went in for a car wash on 4/16/2023 around 4:05 pm. The vehicle in front of my was stuck and I was the second car to get stuck in the pile up where cars were grinding on each other in the car wash for a good 10 secs where I proceeded to honk to get someones attention. The car in front of me that caused the pile up sped out of the car wash tracks and left the scene. I requested more information from quick quack manager at the location to investigate and cover the damages caused by reviewing cameras. So far Ive reached out with no success and it seems like they dont want to help me come to a resolution. Please provide guidance on how I should proceed with the damages caused. I went to the car wash back on June of 22 to get my car washed. At the time when I checked into the car wash, I was told by the attended that he was having an issue processing my payment, and he will give me a free car wash, lucky me. Today I was looking at my bank account and I noticed a charge of ***** from that quick quack for a service I have never ordered, and I was also told that they have been charging me since June 2022. I never ordered this service, they have no information about me besides the information I gave them over the phone today. They steal your money. When I called today I was told they will cancel what I have never ordered and issue me a refund for 3 months, what a rub-off.Business Response

I drive a **** Explorer that I purchased new and currently has ****** miles. I have been a loyal Quick Quack customer since they opened and still go regularly on a monthly plan. The **** Bell Street location is where I experienced problems. The side brushes are quite powerful, and repeated visits have caused the 2 trim panels that fit outside left and right sides of my windshield to pull away from the windshield. These panels were originally shiny black, but both are now dulled with prominent swirls on the entire length, also caused by those same powerful brushes. The brushes are so strong that both side mirrors get pushed outward during the wash and the person drying-off has to pop them back in. I pointed out the damaged trim panels to a site manager on 9/23/2022 and he agreed and filled out a Customer Incident Report. There were multiple copies, and mine is a pink NCR copy that has faded and is barely readable. It has No. ***** on the left end. He kept the other copies, and told me Quick Quack would contact me within 72 hours. I have never been contacted, and foolishly thought they were just busy, but after reading the hundreds of BBB claims, now know many people have experienced that same 72 hour promise, but were never contacted. Since that Customer Incident Report of 9/23/2022, I have contacted Quick Quack many times. I contacted them through their website on 10/12/2022 and received a promise by email that a ************* Advocate would contact me shortly. Nothing happened. I emailed them directly on 11/7/2022 and got the exact-same form-letter email reply, with the same promise of assigning a ************* Advocate, all with the same lack of results. After that I tried calling the customer service number that the website contact link provided 3 separate times, and every time spoke to a helpful person, and each time was promised that a ************* Advocate would contact me within 72 hours. The damaged panels can be replaced at any body shop.Business Response
