      I closed my account with digit. They became Oportun and started taking money out of my account in small amounts, hoping I would not notice. When I called oportun they could not help me or find an account. I called my bank and had to close the account so they could not continue withdrawing money. If they have your banking routing number they will continue to withdraw money. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. HAVE YOUR BANK PUT THEM ON FRAUD ALERT.

      so far i dont't have any issues with it , i applied for a loan they approved it and in 3 bussiness days i have it in my bank account , and i have been paying that loan without problems using my bank account

      Like many others, I am unable to access my Oportun savings account ever since they acquired Digit. Since Oportun did not help me when I called them some months ago, I recently initiated a transfer from my ********* **** account and cleared this transfer with Citizen's representative. A day later, the transfer was cancelled by Oportun who also locked the account that I had connected with Citizen's. I had initially connected to the account by going through Citizen's Bank as any attempt to connect through the Oportun app returns a "I'm sorry. An unknown error occurred." (By the way, the ********* **** connection was working fine before Oportun's takeover of digit.)
      Is anyone else speaking with a lawyer? I don't anticipate getting any satisfaction from Oportun and I am considering suing them.

      I loved this app when it was digit, but now these reviews have me reconsidering.I used to be able to make instant withdrawals now a 3-5 day wait. **************** was available, now smh! Why would you mess with something that was working fine? I am assuming that digit was brought cause it was a great app, now from what I am reading it's trashed. I have too much in this app to risk.

      Yesterday this company tried to direct debit my account for absolutely no reason. I reached out to their customer service as to figure out why. In doing my own research I found out I had submitted an application to them in 2022. But as far as I could tell my application was denied. I've never had any other dealings with this company. Yet again they tried to debit my account for minuscule amount yesterday. It's not about the amount it's the fact that you have access to my information. I reach out to your company and was talked to in a rude and condescending manner. I don't give a **** if it was a ***** or a nickel my money is my money . Oportun you have NO permission to reach your hand into my account and try to take from me or my family. Your company is absolute trash and stands behind nothing. But that's fine you don't have to be reputable company. That's why they're entities to report questionable businesses too. That will investigate and go ahead and shut scam artists down. I reached out to my bank to have them blocked. As I got some smart-ass response from somebody at their company via email. My next step is to contact the authorities and have a lawyer *** the **** out of your company. If you keep trying to take for me something that I don't owe you.

      This company is horrible. Ever since they took over from Digit, it has been impossible to get MY money transferred back into my bank account. ***** did instant transfers which was great. Its been 4 days and my money had still not been transferred. And there is no customer service for the app, only emails! What kind of company has no 800 number to get immediate service? Wish digit would take back over. Horrible company!

      Horrible they merged with or acquired an app called digit and now its impossible to access money. I have a LOT saved up and my money is being withheld from me. I am disgusted, when you call they say theres nobody to talk to you about digit and just give an email this is so unacceptable, u need a resolution right now.

      On 1/5 I was provided a payoff amount. On 1/09, I sent the payoff by certified check with 10 days additional interests. I sent it an address provided by Oportun that is shown on my payoff paperwork and is also shown on their website. After my account had not been credited after 10 business days, I called on 1/19 and was told the check had not been received yet and call back in a few days. I verified the payment address it was sent to and was told it was correct. I called back on 1/24 and the check was still not received. The rep. told me I would receive a callback from another group. I never received a call and called on the 27th. At that time I was told the address I sent the payment too was incorrect! (the website STILL shows the INCORRECT ADDRESS as of 2/16). I had my bank cancel the check and I went down to the Oportun payment location and paid the full payoff amount in person. By the time I made the payment on the 27th, I had incurred $17.68 of interest. The person at the Oportun payment location said I would need to call customer service regarding the additional amount as they were unable to do anything at the payoff location. I called customer service after I made the payoff. Again, I was told I would receive a callback. Nope! I called again on 2/01 and explained to the representative the additional interest incurred due to Oportun providing me the incorrect address to send a payoff to. Again, I was told I would receive a callback. Again, no callback and again I called back on 2/16. This time the person I spoke with said the $17.68 balance was not due to interest. She had told me they held the last remaining payment out of the loan payoff amount I was provided and said the system was designed this way! I was told there was nothing she could do to credit the account $17.68 for a mistake that Oportun created. I paid the $17.68 online after I hung up the phone just so I could get this asinine company out of my existence. Will not do business with Oportun again.

      I’m very disappointed and disgusted with this Company. They are slick and will scam you out of your money. I knew before hand that I would get this loan with a high interest rate. I had personal financial problems in the past so my credit rating was below average. The thing that is wrong with this company is that they are very misleading and sneaky with the way they process the loan. I was offered a refi with a lower interest rate for supposedly being a good customer. The better rate was only a like 3 points lower. Seriously…well I accepted but when it was time to esign the documents I noticed that my interest rate was different. I was still going to be given the high 35% ripp off rate. I called customer service about 20 times and the representatives just gave me the run around and basically could not get my issue resolved. They couldn’t even get a supervisor on the line because they don’t have one there. The call center is in the Philippines and all they can do is offer loans and make sales. I was able to finally speak to a so called supervisor after the 17th call I made. I think the supervisor was in Texas and he basically told me that he didn’t have access to review and make corrections to loans because he couldn’t. opportun has their computer system for their employees set with limits on what they can do. So they really can’t help complicated problems, like problems with lost payments, double payments mistakes on their end. It’s crazy. I can’t wait when the federal government investigates and audits them. I’ve worked in retail banking for over twenty years and this company no interest in helping people with bad credit. They get away with it because they know ********* are an easy target. No shame…

      STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMERS! Please, if you are reading this review DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! I told my mom not to use this company but she wouldnt listen and she requested a loan with them and now she regrets because she paid off her loan June this year, and her last payment was for $815, they charged her twice the same day, we called them and they returned one of the payments. Now in December they called my mom to let her know that she has a balance of almost $1000 because they charged her late fees because she didnt complete her payments. My mom went to her bank and got an statement showing they got their money and they are still giving her a hard time saying they have an error in their system and they cant upload her proof of payment. She called the payment line and they told her no one uploaded any documents from the branch she went to. This is ridiculous, we are considering going to a lawyer for advise because they keep trying to charge my mom for something she already paid since June, and we have the proof confirming it. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY, YOU CAN AVOID THIS STRESS!!!! and I hope people keep reporting them so the government can closed them soon!!!
