I am using Beyond Finance to make a settlement to ************ on my behalf. I have more than enough funds in my account with them to pay off the debt in full. It has been almost a year of trying to get this paid off. I check in with Beyond Finance to get a status and each time I am told that it has been over a month since someone from their negotiations team has made any contact with ************. And each time I am told that they will push mine to the top of the list but nothing happens. At this point, I do not care if they can negotiate down. I have the full amount needed to pay off Rocket Loans and I do not understand why nothing is being done.Business Response

This is a debt resolution company who has been taking my money for 4 years. My debt is nearly paid but they are holding back paying last 2 accounts for months now. There's enough in my dedicated account plus $77 left over they need to give back to me. When I called about 6 x they give me the same schpeal. I enrolled in this program and was given the expectation of debt resolution in 48 months. Given my total debt, that was never a possibility. I was told my credit would be impacted but should start to rebound after about a year and all creditors were contacted, which was also a lie. I've been in it for over two years now, my credit is at an all time low and now I have a loan through their "graduation" program. The loan was for 17k, the amount of remaining debt paid off was *****, and the remainder was supposed to come back to me. So, simple math, I thought I would have around 5-6k to put towards that loan, but after they hit me with all the settlement fees, what I got back was 1200. Insane. Over the life of this program, I've paid $6557.74 in settlement fees and monthly payments. In addition to that, I paid $500/mo into it to have debts settled, and after two years, only one account was completed and not negatively reporting to the credit bureau. It shows they "reduced" my debt by $7,805.49, but I didn't come out ahead because all their fees were almost the same amount. I would NEVER do another program like this and will make sure that everyone knows who Beyond Finance is. Not a solution to reduce/pay off debt, but a predatory program that takes people already struggling financially and "reduces" debt, but still takes a fee of 25% of the ORIGINAL enrolled debt. It's shameful and I can't even express how much I regret letting myself be conned into thinking this was a good solution.Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on December 2, 2022. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. At this time, you were established in a program with an estimated length of 48 months. It would be irresponsible for us to guarantee a specific program length given the nature of debt resolution.
Regarding the manner in which your creditors chose to report to the credit bureaus, as Beyond Finance does not assume your debt we are unable to control how it is reported.
The manner in which Beyond Finance earns our fee is covered during your enrollment interaction and provided in writing via your Enrollment Agreement. It can be located in paragraph 11. (a) and reads, in part, as follows:
" Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
All fees earned were done so within the established expectations.

I have worked with Beyond Fianance since June of 2024. I have deposited about $792. This company is VERY deceptive and scandalous. They have all these outrageous fees as to why youre not paying down any of your debt, just FEES!! I have spoke with a couple **** telling me I will get back my settlement fee when I cancelled which is about 25% of what you owe the creditor itself. So technically you are not saving anything with Beyond. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Ive deposited close to $800 and speaking to the **** im not gonna get back even close to that. I need all my fees and money refunded back to me as soon as possible! Knew it was too good to be true when I started. I asked the **** does it make sense for me to pay a settlement fee when all ive paid the creditor was $120? My settlement fee was close to $300 getting taken out of my dedicated account. Im going back in reverse and they cannot give me my money back? My settlement is cancelled. Thats ridiculous and will never work will this company again.Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on June 6, 2024. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program fees can be located in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor.."

Beyond Fiance met all established expectations prior to earning any portion of the fee related to your authorized arrangement. This program is designed to care for both payments to your creditors and related fees throughout the lifetime of the enrollment.
At the time of your requested termination you were advised that you would receive a refund of any remaining balance after the fee was accounted for. You were also provided the option to leave your account in active arrangement in the program and remove your other accounts to preserve the resolution in place, but you declined.

I signed up with Beyond Finance in March 2024. As of September 17 2024, I have been setup with 1 debt consolidation of 3 total debtors enrolled in my program. This morning I discovered that after confirming a debt consolidation amount with ************ Beyond finance charged me $585.25 of my balance as their fee and sent Captial One $50 for payment! Below are my complaints:-I was not notified of the fee at all. I was told that Beyond Finance has the discretion of charging me to fee at the beginning of the payment plan or at the end. Beyond Finance did NOT inform me in advance that they would be charging me that fee! It would make sense to send that $585.25 as a good faith payment to *********** as opposed to that being the fee charged to negotiate that payment. -A few months ago, there was a suggested amount with beyond finance and ********, that beyond finance passed on, because they believed they could negotiate a lower settlement amount. I would have preferred they agreed to that amount with ******** and at least 1 of the creditors have been paid off by now. -The lack of transparency in the process. I get ample notice of the bi-weekly fees that will be drawn from my account but not one time did I get a call, text, notice, etc. about this 20% fee that beyond finance charges. It doesn't make sense for me to pay such a large fee to beyond finance when I could have used that $585.25 myself and sent it to any of my creditors and agreed to a handful of payments to pay off the amount myself.-I feel taken advantage of because I made great sacrifices to make those payments and for this company to take my money, is a ripoff.I am requesting that $585.25 back AND the balance of my account of $343.31.-Business Response

Good afternoon--
The only prompt received was whether or not I wanted to accept the offer for ***********. No where in the communication did it include the amount I would be charged. As a matter of fact, I didn't even get a notification the fee being pulled out of my balance after the fact. The only reason I know that you took that amount of money is because I called in to inquire about why my overall account balance was so low. When Check out the monthly charges, it was listed the same way the $50 payment was. The process in which this business was conducted does not feel like its being conducted in an ethical manner. Sacrificing my other bills to pay into an account with the goal of paying down debt just for it be taken as a fee as opposed to it being sent to one of my debts is unacceptable. I would have never agreed to such high charges when I already have debt to begin with. I want that amount of money back as it was not explicitly stated of the fee being charged to me BEFORE I agreed on that settlement amount with Beyond finance. This is unacceptable.

I reached out to this company a few years ago to resolve debt. I was making a payment of $481 a month. It was going ok until I noticed the funds being built up in my account and I thought it was odd. I didnt think too much of it but after about 5 months, I found out I was being sued by a creditor that they were suppose to be in negotiations with. It seems the creditor never heard from them despite the fact that beyond told me not to worry about it. So I decided to just transfer all the funds to resolve all my debt which was $11,700. Because they were so slow at paying off the creditor, I still ended up having to go court for no reason. This was in June. After I made the $11,700 i saw it took forever (almost a month) for it show up into my account with them. I called Them in July to ask whats going on as they have the Necessary funds to resolve all my debt. I kept getting told they would expedite it and reach out to all creditors and it would take a month to fully resolve. Yet, here we are in mid September with them still withholding the funds left to resolve the last two accounts. The status keeps changing on my app. One day it says they are in negotiations , one day it says in review (which seems to be in the beginning stages). Ive called numerous times and keep getting told they will expedite this and nothing gets done. I feel they are trying to force me to pay more fees as they dont seem to like the fact I paid off my debt faster than their plan terms. When I first signed up I was told I could always pay it off faster if I wanted to without penalty, fees, or problems. Yet, this is a huge problem because they are not following up with the last two creditors to get this finally Resolved. I want to be done with this company and with my debt. They are making it extremely difficult. I asked a *** if I should reach out to the creditors myself( because beyond told me the creditors arent responding ) and I was told no. Hello, I started a debt relief program with beyond finance last May . What drew me into this program was their promises to help relief my debt. They set me up with a program and I started depositing money into my dedicated account and at first the program seemed to work fairly well. This was until my Sofi loan was settled and they threatened if I didnt add money into my account then my payment would almost double from $513.87 to around $1000. I took a loan from my 401k because I couldnt have my payment raised because we are a family of four on a single income. I deposited the money into the account and it still raised my payment from $513.87 to $565.20 which was hard but we made it work. Fast forward to July 2024 and I was served with papers by one of my creditors. I immediately contacted them and updated the documents. Their legal team was supposed to handle this issue but never did. The judge ruled in favor of the creditor because beyond finance failed. They finally contacted the creditor and achieved an offer from the creditor for the exact amount owed. This wasnt the only catch they wanted $6000 more dollars or my payment would go back to $900-$1000. I canceled my program because this forced me to declare bankruptcy. I had over $7,000 in my account with ********************** and they took every ***** without my approval for fees. This is extremely troubling because my family and I needed that money to move on from this situation. Ive tried to contact them and I cannot receive an answer. Since I am not giving this company my money anymore they do not care. I wonder how many more people this company is taking advantage of and they even proudly display your logo on their website as they are ripping people off.Business Response

As ********************** was making every effort to resolve that matter prior to it advancing in legal status, we presented you with the opportunity to increase your monthly payments or deposit a lump sum in order to take advantage of a favorable offer. Had you been unable to take advantage, Beyond Finance would have continued to work towards a resolution for you.
Beyond Finance made every effort to care for your Lake Trust account, however we were limited in our ability based on available funds in your dedicated account. The program is designed to care for all enrolled debt throughout the lifetime of the program and you were in several active arrangements that were utilizing your available funds. You were again presented with a conditional offer in an effort to care for the account.
At the time of your requested termination, you were in active resolutions. Beyond Finance had met all established expectations, as set forth clearly in your enrollment agreement and during your enrollment interaction, to earn the related fees. An agent made the effort to present you with the option to leave your accounts in active resotlion in the program and you declined.

In April of 2024 I began work with Beyond Finance to address some of my credit card debt and had careful conversations about which accounts to include, as I didn't want this adversely affecting any accounts that my husband held. When they contacted ******* using their correspondence showing power of attorney, they simply provided my social security number and this triggered ******* to immediately close all credit accounts including my husband's business credit card (which I am not attached to) and a personal joint credit card that had accumulated $11,000 in rewards points which were immediately cancelled and the accounts were permanently closed on Tuesday August 20th. Beyond Finance assured me in our conversations that only the accounts I identify with them as needing assistance would be affected or impacted by their involvement. They did not share any possibility of other accounts or spousal accounts being impacted in any way. Additionally, the only assistance they could provide with this matter was to revoke the power of attorney with ******* but they could do nothing to correct the issues that were created by their lack of specificity in dealing with my accounts that I authorized them to address. Beyond Finance overstated and misrepresented their ability to assist with problems that should occur with creditors and also did not accurately disclose or share the potential adverse outcomes that could be experienced by enrolling in their program. Specifically, they assured me that my husband's account or shared accounts would not be affected on their onboarding call. My last communication with a manager they changed this message to say "they cannot predict whether a credit will close all accounts". This would have greatly impacted my decision making to enroll in their program. They were not transparent about the risks associated with enrolling in their program or the problems that occur, even despite my very pointed and direct questions.Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on April 26, 2024. Pursuant to your concerns, this interaction was thoroughly reviewed. It was determined that the subject matter discussed was related to which accounts would be included in the program. The agent advised that your business accounts and the accounts under your spouse's name would not be included in your enrollment. This is accurate, and only accounts approved by you were enrolled into the program.
Upon receipt of the standard authorization to communicate form, US Bank elected to move forward with closure of unrelated accounts. We are understanding of the frustration as it relates to US Banks handling of this matter. As your spouse is not enrolled in the program and the authorization form sent therefore does not include any of his information, we are unclear as to why US Bank elected to close his accounts.
Our records reflect that you have been working closely with an account manager in an effort to resolve this issue. The account manager took steps to assist in removing this account from your program and revoking the Power of Attorney and made themselves available to speak to US Bank with you. Given the circumstances at the time, it was difficult to coordinate these conversations due to the excessive hold times at US Bank.
We have scheduled an additional follow up to assist in addressing any outstanding concerns.

To date, I have made multiple requests to have Beyond Finance directly support and assist with resolution of this problem, as I have been informed by US Bank that this is necessary for them to reverse the cancellation and reissue our rewards. My last contact with a Manager I specifically asked to speak to someone who could assist with this. I am extremely dissatisfied with the response from Beyond Finance and the lack of willingness to directly assist with this problem. In addition. the false statement was made tthat my husband's accounts or joint accounts would not and could not be affected by enrollment in the program was misleading and damaging. It is my expectation and request that Beyond Finance participate directly in rectifying this situation with US Bank because of the misleading and inaccurate statements made during my onboarding call. I was reassured by the onboarding team that should any problems arise, that Beyond Finance would be directly involved and able to assist with legal support if needed. This has not been the case and there has been an incredibly "hands off and it's a US Bank issue". It is our opinion that Beyond Finance overpromised their ability to help and support and also failed to accurately disclose the risks and consequences of enrolling in their program.Business Response
