After analyzing this companies online reviews, we decided that it was too much of a risk to do business with them. Most of the online reviews look like they were written by AI. Our salesman ******************************** was very pushy and talked us into signing a contract right then and there on the phone without allowing us time to discuss it on our own (which we mentioned a few times we would like to do). Regrettably, we signed the contract. A few hours later, we decided to no longer do business with this company. After canceling the contract, this representative decided to take it upon himself to relentlessly call us from different phone numbers on both of our phones. After blocking one, we would receive another. What is alarming is that on a voicemail he threatens that he will keep calling us until he receives an explanation of why we canceled our contract. I wish I would have thought this whole thing over before giving this company all of my information. All I want them to do now is just delete our account information and allow us to move on.Business Response

After having my debt consolidated 4 months ago, my creditors have not been paid--they've been calling incessantly and my credit score is tanking. My husband and I were told not to answer our creditor's calls, and that it would take [an unspecified amount of] time before the credit card companies would be willing to work with this company. We werent told about the wait until after we'd started paying this company. I've since emailed them more than once, but no one is replying to my emails. They made it sound like the wait to pay off our cards wouldn't be long. I would not have signed or allowed my husband to sign if [we] had been told beforehand that this will affect our credit. For the record, whether my husband was told or not, I absolutely was NOT told any of this. It should have been disclosed immediately, and to me directly. I want them to do what we've paid them for immediately, or stop charging us until they settle with the card companies. I also want them to make up for the damage they've inflicted to my credit report. At the very least, they need to reply to my attempts for answers to why these things are happening, their plan for resolution, and how they will mitigate or fix the damage they've caused.Business Response

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on July 11, 2023. At the time of enrollment, your Enrollment Agreement was provided to you prior to your signing. Information about program progress and credit impact can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8, "Timing and Program Estimates" and paragraph 13. "Disclaimer" respectively. They read, in part, as follows:
"While guidelines differ widely among Creditors, in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness and may increase the outstanding balances of Clients enrolled accounts due to the accrual of fees and interest. The decision to stop paying creditors rests solely with the Client, and the client acknowledges and fully understands that the company will not be making the Clients scheduled monthly payments to their creditors. I revoked this company's ACH authorization in writing on September 23, 2023 due to losing my job. They continue to withdraw from my account as recently as 3 days ago. I have tried and tried to tell them they are in violation of the law by failing to abide by the revocation. They keep trying to call me, or get me to call them despite the fact I have REPEATEDLY told them that I am only communicating with them in writing which I have the legal right to do. I sent a mail to ***************** on November 2nd, requesting to cancel my application which I could cancel at anytime with no penalty, but he has not responded back to my request. This is very frustrating because now there is a pending payment from them which I will be disputing. In late Feb of 2023, I was researching debt relief due to unforeseen circumstances that was significantly affecting my ability to manage daily activities and life. I was still employed at my place of employment for the past 7 years, at that time but due to the industry I work in, I was looking for a viable option to get control back of my life and finances that were mounting quickly and due to the long term stress ans poor health that brought me to this company, was unable to manage a secondary source of income to help my situation. I was very relieved after my first contact when I was given the options they could offer and understood the terms and expectations of the program. After I signed up, I followed their directions and was very proactive to making sure I handled my end promptly and stayed on top of my responsibilities. Before the very first draft was set to happen, I contacted a direct member representative to update a new bank acct so it was a clean slate. I had to do this very same thing 3 times over 2 months while not making direct payments to my existing obligations as per the agreement. When the first acct was accepted in the program, I was now 4 months in arrears and this company had to wait an additional month after to make a payment on this one acct. I contacted this company from March until I finally had enough of having to add more stress of following up with their lack of handling their side of the contract that I got frustrated with dealing with being given so many different stories and guarantees that never happened, I paid the acct in progress and immediately cancelled the program and requested a refund for my remaining funds. I am now working as best I can directly with my accts and am in a worse position that I will never dig out of before my health issues can be dealt with. Beyond finance should not be accredited with the BBB. They lie upon their used car salesmans pitch to get you signed up and then they ask you for more money. (Double so far) then what you additionally agreed-upon and will probably ask for an additional amount of what you are now paying. They lied in their initial pitch to me, telling me that if there were any legal issues that they would be handled by beyond finance, and now Ive been told by beyond finance, not by the actual banks that I was dealing with prior, that I am being sued and/or are in litigation. You dont have a point person to speak with a Beyond finance, and they give you a scripted response to every question asked. They are by far, the worst company Ive ever worked with when it comes to settling a debt, and I couldve done better myself or I wouldve been better at filing for bankruptcy than dealing with this awful company with the rudest employees. If I would BBB, I would definitely reconsider backing them as an accredited business because they are far from accredited and they are far from truthful in their initial pitches. Theyre so eager to take your money but theyre so slow to respond to legal issues and questions. This is by far the worst company Ive ever had to deal with and I pray that no one else has to deal with them. I would steer you in any other direction but beyond finances and Im miserable that I have to finish dealing with them because Im locked in with them.Business Response

Non disclosure of fees related to joining the program. I was lied to about everything to do with all fees. The guy I spoke to said no fees were taken until the program was completed and that just wasnt the truth at all. They lied about credit scores dropping just about everything to do with their program. I would have been in the program at the rate they were going for 15 years when they only had me in it for 4 years with all the extra fees I wasnt told about I would have paid over the amount of money my own bills are now. They erased most everything before I even could get it. If that tells you what they did. Took them 8 months just to do 1 card then charged me an extra 25% fee I was not told about.Business Response

Beyond Finance met all established criteria prior to earning any fee installment as it was related to your approved settlement. We regret if there was any misunderstanding in regard to how and when our fee is earned.

I contacted this company on several occasions, and at this point I am very aggravated. I called in early in the year and asked why the two remaining accounts had not been settled. They advised I did not have enough money in my account to settle, they allowed one of my accounts to continue to build interest when I was advised to stop making payments years ago. However they neglected to tell me the account balance with continue to raise it double since there involvement I do believe it was due to negligence of my account that the balance in fact doubled.Secondly they advised that I was no longer in auto draft because the contact I signed was done and that I could continue to make manual deposits, which I agreed I would make manual deposits when able to so we could resolve the remaining two accounts. As soon as I started to make Manual deposits the resumed my auto deposits with no consent no knew contract signed. Everyone I talk to has no idea what happened everyone has a different story. I spoke to a manager after the August and Sept ******** she advised she would stop payments however the communication between myself and her was not pleasant in any manner if love the calls reviewed. Come to find out she did not stop my payments by any means. I will tell you what she did do is make my payments semi monthly 7-8 days and I have called them many times and advised I never consented they refuse to actually stop my payments its to the point I had to report to my bank I never consented to payments to auto payments I never consented to a new amount. They choice to reinstate my auto pay with out any signed documentation. My contracted payments had ended and they didnt hold up there end of the contract had they negotiated earlier the amount on the account would not have incurred so much interest and late fees. We confirmed your enrollment into the program on March 31, 2020. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program estimates can be located under the section titled "Program Snapshot". It reads, in part, as follows:
"We do not guarantee that your debts will be resolved for a specific amount or percentage or within a specific period of time."
While it is our goal to stay within the established estimates, on rare occasions we need to extend those estimates. We are reliant upon the creditors being willing to negotiate. We understand that the accrued interest can be intimidating, but rest assured that our No Worse Off policy is in place to protect you in these circumstances.
Regarding your experience with direct deposit. When you elected to continue the program in an effort to resolve the remaining accounts, that triggered a program extension which caused the payment to resume. We regret any misunderstanding surrounding this matter. Records indicate you have recently talked to an agent regarding this matter and it has been resolved.

This is a debt relief company who has repeatedly ignored requests by me to handle a pending lawsuit by one of the creditors enrolled in their program. When I signed up with them I was promised that the 4 debts I enrolled with them last November 2022, would have settlement offers by 6 months. I have contacted them multiple times about the Advantage lawsuit and have been given evasive and noncommittal answers. Although, services provided by the Company aim to reduce the Clients outstanding debts with creditors, the Company cannot prevent a creditor from
taking legal action against them, and the Company cannot offer any guarantee whatsoever that legal actions will not be commenced by the Clients creditors."
Review of your program determined that you recently spoke to an Account Manager about this concern. They confirmed that Beyond Finance will still make every effort to secure a favorable settlement offer, but we do require available funds in order to do so. As you currently have two active settlements in process, funds are limited but Beyond Finance will monitor your program closely in an effort to secure a settlement on the references account.

I signed up for Beyond Finance over a year ago with 4 accounts. I thought I was making a responsible decision. The company did not do anything they advertised or sold. I made all of my biweekly payments and so far 2 of my creditors have sought legal action against me because Beyond Finance failed to even make contact in over a years span. One they still have not contacted! During that year, I called numerous times looking for updates and was provided nothing. I had to resolve both of the accounts that had legal action against me myself with NO help from Beyond Finance. I would have NEVER let a debt reach a legal action if I had not put my trust in Beyond Finance. When I escalated my concerns I was told well I see we reached out and it was noted the only time recorded was in the last 24 hours after I escalated the claim. Not only has Beyond Financea negligence caused me financial and legal turmoil but the fact that Beyond Finance is allowed to breach their contract and act in bad faith when peoples financial livelihoods are on the line is immoral. I had to take over $10k from my 401k to settle these accounts directly because Beyond Finance lacked any effort to live up to the program they sold me. It would not surprise me to see class action lawsuits appearing for cases like mine. I am seeking resolution for the 2 accounts that I did not have to settle on my own. I am hoping there is someone in this company that will right the wrong of so many people who worked on my account.Business Response
