This company has been collecting money from me and my wife for over a year and has not made one settlement yet nor have they even contacted the creditors that I owe NOT ONE SINGLE TIME! An now I am being taken to court and I am in worse shape than before and they are more than likely going to take our home and everything we have! DO NOT TRUST THEIR A+ RATING they are not and will not contact creditors and when creditors attempt to contact them they hang up on them or transfer them to a different line. We are in worse shape than than we were before working with them. We have hired a lawyer and are going to fight until the very end to get whatever we can back and to save the next person from these FRAUDS. You guys should be ashamed of yourself taking money from people that are already in bad shape.Business Response

I signed up for a debt consolidation program,, I called and questioned a certain account,, the answer I got was not what I was hoping for so I asked about how to cancel the program. The representative (***************************) said that department had closed and I need to call back. She was not authorized to cancel the program but did anyway unknowingly to me.Even After numerous emails explaining that I only asked about canceling but did get to the appropriate department I still got canceled. I emailed again after I noticed my payment did not get drafted on 11/20 and thats when they sent me an official cancellation form from the **** Even though I still had not spoken to anyone about confirming the canceling. I then called in very upset and spoke to a manager that confirmed ******* had canceled me when she was not allowed to on my very first call asking about cancelation. The gentleman manager tried to reinstate my account but at that time I did not trust the process and instructed him to cancel me officially. He read multiple paragraphs and explained the process of canceling in which no one had done even though they canceled me on the very first call I made. It seems as though protocol is not followed at beyond finance.Of the approx 280 dollars spent only 30 went to an actual account of mine. I was told there are fees associated with the program but 250 for one month of fees seems extremely high. Not to mention they immediately blocked me from accessing my account with them online to see what my remaining balance was (credit) with them. The attachment is what I received before I officially cancelledBusiness Response

Spoke on the phone with a customer service representative and also spoke to a supervisor on the phone also. Beyond records all phone calls so this should not be disputed by them and 11/22/23 was the date. Was told all fees would be waive as they pay off my last two *********** accounts and the remaining money left over in my account $1,563.40 is the amount. That was promised to be put in my bank account after I graduate from their program. They charged me a settlement fee of $271.50 on the evening of 11/22/23 which is against what we agree on and was promised on a recorded line. **************** basically told me where to go when ask why I was charged.I expect the fee I was charged in the amount of $271.50 to be returned to my Beyond account then the amount of $1,564.40 to be sent to my bank account after I graduate.Until this is done then this case will remain open just like my other BBB complaint against Beyond.Business Response

Mr. ***********,
Thank you for the continued opportunity to address your concerns.
Review of your program determined that on September 15, 2023 Beyond Fiance agreed to give you a goodwill refund of $1,600.00 of previously earned settlement fee to assist in securing your remaining two settlements. It was agreed that this fee would not be collected in the future.
The fees earned in relation to your *********** accounts were not discussed at this time. These fees were earned appropriately and in accordance with expectations set forth in your Enrollment Agreement.
At this time, you have Graduated from the program and a refund was issued to you on November 29, 2023. We hope this is a satisfactory resolution to your concerns,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction over your program progress.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on July 19, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. I signed up for Beyond Finance about 3 months ago. Two payments went through for 1 settlement that they got for me. For two months I was paying that. For this third month they took the biweekly payment but I canceled one week later and my third month payment did not go thru yet. Just so you know I canceled because I found out I can contact my creditors and work this out with them and not pay high fees. So Beyond Finance took the money left in my account that was $178.00. They did not refund it and I don't know why because the 3rd month payment did not go through yet so what are they charging me for. They not only took the $140 that I just deposited on November 8th they took the additional $38.00 I was told when I signed up that when I canceled I would receive a refund for any remaining balance. They also did this to my husbands account. Complete scamBusiness Response

Hello,
For the month of November on the 3rd a payment was taken. There was another due on the 17th. No payment for the month of November was made to the creditor so therefore a refund should have been issued. When I called and spoke to someone they told me the payment on the 17th was for a fee. So you took the ****** I made on the 3rd and the additional money in my account as a fee when nothing was done for the month. That is dishonest and has nothing to do with a fee. I will make sure that people are made aware of your business practices and I will also write to the Texas state Attorney General to report this also. A refund of ****** is due to me and also my husband had an account and you did the same to him. I will be looking for that refund also.

I enlisted Beyond Finance to negotiate a debt settlement with ************ in late 2022. Beyond Finance was deducting $371/monthly from my checking account and applying theses funds to paying off the settled date. I periodically would check on the remaining balance on the account and noticed that information wasn't available on their website. I called Beyond Finance and the representative told me that that account had not reached a settlement agreement. I then called ************ and was told that Beyond Finance stopped paying the account in April 2023. I was never I formed of this situation. I again called Beyond Finance and after pushing for an explanation, I was told that there was not enough funds in my account in April so ************ was not paid and a new settlement was in negotiation. This was August 2023. I recently called Beyond Finance to find out the remaining balance on the and was told there was never a settlement and I still owed over $9000. I immediately called ************ and was again told that Beyond Finance was in breach of contract and had not negotiated another settlement after 6 months. I asked if I could settle directly with ************ and they negotiated a settlement of 4 payments of $1870 beginning November 30, 2023. I notified Beyond Finance that I settled the account without them. I was informed that my account has more than $ **** in it. I was told that those funds would be re-deposited in my checking account. It's been 2 weeks and no money has shown ** in the account. I find the practices of Beyond Finance to be misleading and fraudulent. I would like all money's collected since April 2023 returned to me. Ms. *********,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced.
In your complaint you expressed dissatisfaction with the loss of one of your settlements and the refund timing after your termination request.
Review of your program determined that upon enrollment, your payment was established at $780.75. This would have been the monthly payment amount used to calculate your ability to repay the settlement referenced. Records indication that your payment was reduced to $371.17 effective February 2023. Given the change in payment amount, there were not enough funds available to continue the agreed upon settlement. Beyond Finance was monitoring for you to accumulate additional funds in your dedicated savings account to make efforts to renegotiate the settlement.
Additionally, we confirmed your enrollment into the program on October 27, 2021. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program fees can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 11. (a), "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii)the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor"
At the time of your requested termination there were outstanding settlement fees. Once those fees were accounted for, there were no remaining funds in your dedicated account.
We are hopeful that we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I have been working with them for over a year. I have had to put my account on hold a couple of times for money being tight and their out right refusal to cancel my account with them. which i have called three times asking them to do. I have paid them ******* the settled one account for $658.75. in this app they have their clients follow they have the enrolled debt and the estimated reduction. Well their pay should be included in the estimated deduction. but they do not give a breakdown for each account whether they are charging 10,15,20 or 25% which makes their fees unknown. They made $907.29 over one account. I believe that is more than 50% it is actually closer to 75% which is ridiculous. I want a portion of the $907.29 returned minus their lower percent of the job they completed. Thank you, ********************* program nam BRP-******Business Response

I accepted the deal because they stated if I dont they could not renegotiate the amount. They forced me to take an offer that could have been lowered. I never received a copy of the terms to review further when I tried locating it I couldnt. I could have paid what I owed them this is a rip off. Again we are allowing companies to take advantage of the people who are already disadvantaged. If you can sleep at night great for you. If I had access to your information. I signed up for Beyond Finances assistance for debt relief on October 27th. After I realized it was a sham that takes advantage of people in desperate situations and not wanting to completely wreck my credit I sent the contract cancellation form via email, overnight mail (delivered to their P.O. Box on the 31st and via fax on the 31st of October. Within the 3 business day window. I even sent a message to their chat questioning when Id receive my FULL deposit back. They stated that they would call me and asked if anyone had called me. I never received a call and so I called today, November 13th which was the first real opportunity for me to call after just having back surgery. I am then told I will only receive a partial refund because I am just now calling to cancel my account and that my contract cancellation was not uploaded to my account until November 1st. Just do the right thing and return my full deposit because you know that I adequately filed notice of contract cancellation. I dont have time to deal with thieves and their stupid games. I contacted Beyond Finance to help settle my debt as I felt I had no other resolution. I was told within 6 months time my debts would be settled & I would see my credit rebounding. At the 4 1/2 month **** they had obtained 1 settlement for me & taken nearly $1000 fees for this. When I inquired about this, they told me that its unusual to receive a settlement before six months-that normally it takes up to 18 months. I was also informed that they assess a 25% fee when they reach a ****************** fee is collected before they start paying the creditor. I told them that this was bait & switch. I was promised 1 thing when I signed up. And now that Im in the program they are changing the stipulations. I was also never told about the 25% fee had I been, I would not have signed up. When I told them I wished to discontinue with their services I was told I had $88 in my dedicated account that would be refunded, plus some of the fees for the settlement would be returned since only 2 payments had been made. I was told this would take up to 7 days. 3 weeks later I called back & told that I would not be receiving any money back. That I still owe over $1000 for settlement fees even though only 2 payments had been made. When I originally cancelled. I was told that the last installment for those fees was in January **** would be waived since I was terminating my account. Every account manager tells you something different than the 1 prior. Yes I would like a portion of my money back. But more importantly, I think this company should be stopped from taking advantage of people in a desperate situation when all they are looking for is help.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you have experienced.
We confirmed your enrollment into the program on June 12, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about program progress can be located under the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8, "Timing and Program Estimates". It reads, in part, as follows:

approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."
Beyond Finance met those expectations by negotiating two settlement offers approved by you four months into your program.
Additionally, information about the program fee can be located in the same section under paragraph 11. (a) "Program Fees". It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program"

Beyond Finance met all established requirements prior to taking any part of the fee installment. We regret if there was any misunderstanding during your termination conversation, but after your termination was processed there were no remaining funds in your dedicated account.

This company has taken over $3000 out of my account, they have only settled two credit cards and have only paid my credit cards $153. There is only $270 in my dedicated account because they have kept the rest. I was already signed up with then months before **** of America tried to take me to court. They never settled with them till they had filed against me and then said they couldnt reduced that debt by 50% like they promised because there was a lawsuit. We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 27, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Enrollment Agreement with you prior to your signing. Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
