We placed an order with Hodge on 1/10/24. They required a prepayment of $1,800 which we paid. They promised delivery in 5-7 weeks. As of 12/4/24 we have not received any materials that were ordered. We requested a refund weeks ago and we have been strung along. They told us to start another new order to cancel the other one out before getting a refund, we said we wanted a refund before paying for another. It's been over a month and we still haven't received our refund. The communication with them is poor at best. They're a scam company.Initial Complaint

Placed order for a combination lock for my middle schooler on 8/22/2024. By September I hadn't recieved anything. Emailed the company and was told there's 8-10 week lead time on orders. Understood. By mid October I still hadn't recieved anything. Emailed the company again. Was told lead time surpassed their expectation and it was now looking like my item would ship and arrive mid November. Our nonprofit organization, *************************, formerly known as *******************************, got in contact with Hodge Products Inc, to purchase 308 combination trigger gun locks and 48 cable gun locks totaling ******** including shipping costs. We received an invoice on February 27, 2024. Our check that was sent to Hodge Products Inc, was cashed in on March 21, 2024. I received a confirmation email on March 20, 2024, from a sales associate saying our check was received and our order would be shipped and delivered in 4-6 weeks. I checked in on April 23, 2024 and was told that the order was delayed and was now placed on an expediting list with Master Lock and now was expected to be shipped and delivered "mid-late May." This continued to occur several times, checking in May 28, 2024-was told it will arrive "late early-mid July" claiming it should not go past July. Again checking in July 30, 2024-was told estimated ship date is "by the end of August". At this point, the program we were hoping to use the gun locks for was starting in September and I spoke with a representative on the phone and they explained that they did not have the Master Lock products that they sold to us and were waiting for their arrival. I requested a cancelation and a refund for our order and had to call multiple times during the first week of August to finally receive an email confirmation of the cancellation on August 13, 2024 claiming the refund process should take 2-3 business days and a check will be issued back to us. It has been 6 weeks and we have not received a refund of the $******** that was paid. I called and spoke to an associate and they did not have an update on the refund and I was told I will receive an email soon with more information, which I have been told before and not received anything. It does not appear as though Hodge Products, **** has tried to resolve the problem.Business Response

I'm trying to get refunded for an order for 200 master locks item # **** placed back on February 14th paid in full through wire transfer $4,052 to the *********** account. Order was confirmed Feb 21 and had a lead time of 4-6 weeks from order which would put us first week of April. Vendor was contacted on April 6th regarding shipping with a vendor responding on April 10th that the order would indeed ship April 22nd. Since the order had not shipped as of August 1st. The excusse as follows: "The backlog is our own, not our manufacturers. We lost sight of many orders and unless people inquire about them, we arent aware they are still unfilled. " then with this response .. " I am told it is expected to ship by the end of August but I wouldnt be surprised if it prolonged to September. I am sorry." I asked for a full refund since the locks were needed urgently. A check was supposed to be put in the mail as per confirmation August 13th from Hodge ****************** I am not sure when the check will be mailed but I will send you tracking when it becomes available." I have to add that numerous calls were made by me to the listed telephone # that went to a recording and no live person. Finally got a person named **** who said he would investigate and look into the problem. No result from that conversation either. So it's very obvious that this establishment looks like they are filling Master Lock orders but they are not as I called Master Lock and they confirmed the locks were in stock and available to ship. So upon further investigation I see that Hodge has a long history of taking peoples money and not fulfilling their orders. I will continue to post through social media and through better business establishments until I receive a full refund owed from Hodge.Business Response

Date of order was January 11, 2024. We've reached out to the company multiple times because we never received the items ordered. Everytime we speak with someone, we are given a different delivery date. We have tried to get a refund but have been unsuccessful in that too.Business Response

I have purchased from this vendor before, but something has gone wrong with my most recent order and it has not shipped and I have not received any shipping notice. All emails are getting bounced back, you cannot get a hold of anyone via phone, and their website now has a certificate error. Better Business Bureau:
Several more failed email attempts were made and unanswered. They say they are improving the customer service, but it is only if you make a stink. Then they sent me what looks like 20-year-old boxes that were taped and retaped suggesting that they were product returns. I'm only accepting this response as it is no longer worth my time. You may close this complaint.

I placed an order on 12/12/23 for Master Locks. I have sent numerous follow up emails and have called multiple times to check the status. Every time I call or email, they explain how their system had issues so they have a backlog, but now they're catching up. They always promise me the locks will be shipped in a few weeks. As of today, 4/22/24, they have still not shipped, even though my order was supposed to be marked a high priority. The last time I called, aside from calling today with no answer, was on 3/29/24. They promised these would ship the beginning of April. I desperately needed these locks three months ago, but I need them NOW and they've already charged me for this purchase. I think I've been scammed. I've attached the phone calls I made. Unfortunately, I did not think to save the email correspondence. I placed an order with The Lock People (aka Hodge Products Inc) on 10/16/23. The order was for 12 Master Lock pad locks. The order number from the company is LP2133. The website stated that my order would ship within ***** business days. On 11/9/23 I had not yet received the locks, nor had I been given any communication as to why. I emailed customer service and was told there was a "delay" and that the estimated ship was 11/28. At some point in December, I still had not received the locks. I called and was told there was a manufacturing issue with Master Lock and the anticipated time for this to be resolved an my order to ship was "end of January". By February 27, 2024, still no locks. I emailed and was told there had been an "internal PO issue" that had been "resolved" and my order was to be ****ed "high priority" and ship in 2 weeks, so mid-March. On 4/11/2024 still not having received the order, I reached out again. Same excuse of the "internal PO issue" and that my order was "towards the top of the expediting list" and that it was "expected to ship by the end of the month".This issue is quickly approaching the 6 month **** of me not receiving a product that has been paid in full for. The excuses are recycled at this point and the "expected date" gets punted a bit further each time. This feels like a scam and that I will never get these locks.Desired resolution would be to actually get the product I paid for and a partial refund of the purchase price for my troubles. Not a credit to our account as I do not plan on being a returning customer.
