      Petco sent me an offer, $50 off of a purchase of $100 or more. Since I was low on canned dog food I decided to take advantage of Petco's offer. I was careful to choose items that were "In stock" and available for same day pick up at the *************** store. My total was $112.67 minus the $50. Petco put a hold on my card for the $62.67 and said I would receive an e-mail when my in store pick up was ready. Instead, I received an e-mail 40 minutes later saying that a case of Purina Pro Plan dog food was NOT in stock? Petco changed my order to the 2 remaining items and dropped my $50 off offer? I called **************** and was transferred to a supervisor named ****. I asked **** to substitute the case of Pro Plan for a different flavor that was in stock and had the same exact price as the one I originally picked. She refused? She said she would have to create a whole new order and put another charge on my card which I did not have enough for? I told her to just cancel the order and reverse the $62.67 charge. **** said that charge would just drop off in a couple of days, but a new charge of $43.82 would appear for the 2 remaining items? I told her that made no sense at all! She said that a credit would be issued for the $43.82. The $62.67 did drop off and the $43.82 was charged and credited. And now I have ANOTHER new charge of $18.85? I called customer service yet again and talked to *******, she says the $18.85 is for the case of Pro Plan? I am waiting to see if that $18.85 gets credited. I have asked Petco if they will do anything to resolve the torture they have subjected me too and they will do nothing? If Petco's goal is to have the worst customer service in *******, they win!

      I have had issues with getting refills. Pharmacy would contact Middletown DE Vetco and after not getting a response for days, I would call and let them know my dogs' meds are almost out. The office manager would claim that they didn't receive anything telling me in an accusatory tone to not call at the last-minute requesting refills, they are very busy there and cannot get to doing refills. Last month they called in the Script incorrectly so that my dog can only get 1 pill per day when his records show he has been using 2 pills per day. So, my dog uses 60 pills in 1 month, and needed refill after 30 days. Vetco says I need to make an appointment to see the vet as the prescribing vet needs to see the dog. I said he was just seen in May, its now July. They said they will not authorize a refill unless seen by the vet there that will prescribe the med. I brought my dog in and what a fiasco (separate complaint). At the end, the vet said he would prescribe them. I relayed the script and the pharmacy information that is already in the records. Checking with the pharmacy later, nothing called in. Called the office and turned out they called the wrong pharmacy. I called the pharmacy later and they cannot fill it because the script is for 1/day and since the last script, says 1/day also, its not due to fill until August 16th. They need a new script that says 2/day. Called the vet again and was told the vet is not comfortable prescribing 2/day. I started to explain the issue with the pharmacy. The Vetco office manager was very rude and dismissive. He says that is the end of it. My husband called and asked to speak to the vet in hopes that he would understand the situation and was told the vet would call back. Instead, I, got a call back from the office manager saying to stop calling them, they are not going to change their minds, leave and go somewhere else. I was speechless. What is my dog supposed to do? Pleaded to check records but fell on deaf ears.

      Please please do not take your pet there. My goldendoodle head was cut in two places. And they tried to say it was the crate. *** contacted them to no real response in Management.

      They do not even deserve a "1" star rating!!! DO NOT BUY A PACKAGE FROM VETCO. It seems like you will be saving money but ultimately, it *** cost you more. I purchased a package and they did not tell me it would expire in 4 months. They kept telling me to come back to complete the vaccines because my dog was under weight. This has been ongoing since February 2024. My last visit was May 1st and they again told me I had to come back to complete the 2nd set of shots in which I demanded they complete the shots since the 1st round was done in tandem. Meaning they complete two shots then, why can't they complete two shots now. Come to find out they were hoping the package would expire which would have been on June 1st which I was unaware of. Even if I had have known, they kept using the excuse that my dog was underweight which would mean, I'd have to wait for her to gain weight (hopefully before the package expires) or pay again for the entire set of vaccines that she needed. During my last visit, I requested them to install the microchip which was part of the package and they refused for an unknown reason, still not explaining that my package was set to expire and that I should come back to have it done within a reasonable amount of time. Today, July 20th, I have an appointment set, I go to get the microchip installed because she is now over 15lbs. and they refuse me the microchip because the package is expired. They intentionally denied me service in the past so that would pay for this service twice. This is not fair service! They told me to call customer service and customer service refused assistance. I do not recommend buying the package at all! Ala carte is best especially if you have a small dog that *** not meet their weight requirements anytime soon.

      I would give 0 stars if I could dont waste your time here or at any of them was trying to charge 600 dollars for a ear culture because they claim they had to put my dog to sleep to do it..when they took my Jax out of room to put a muzzle on him then claimed they cant do it..I asked if we could hold our dog while they swabbed him and they said no ..unbelievable so dont waste your time the woman on the phone told me to schedule one dog at 4 and one at 4:30 to receive the free first exam for my dogs and when we got there they said they can only use one..when clearly the coupon said one per pet parent and not one pet pet household..very unprofessional they did not want to work they was ready to just leave for the day ..please dont waste your time because our furry friends wont get any help they dont care at all..

      My dog was seen 7/7 and I recieved prescriptions for that I cannot fill anywhere including Petco thru the app and ******* due to Vetco saying I didn't see a doctor by my dog's prescriptions were signed by a doctor ************************* license number *******. **************** is zero help and I have requested a supervisor numerous times and can get no were. I literally just want my dog's prescriptions able to be filled and I will never go back to Vetxo or Petco again!

      I understand having paperwork for rabies vaccination when the dogs is gonna be groomed. But I wish on their website and maybe printed somewhere on the wall in the store is the fact that Petco will not work on animals who have medical conditions even if theyre being seen by a veterinarian and theyre on medication to prevent The situation . My Australian Shepherd had an appointment to be groomed and nowhere was it told to me or shown that dogs with medical conditions or are taking medication are not allowed at Petco. I know this is not the way it used to be. If they dont want my business because my dogs getting older thats fine but post these things places so customers are not waste their valuable time.

      Scheduled an appointment to have my dog vaccinated. Drove an hour to my appointment to be told they decided to close early and go home. Then got a text stating I missed my appointment. Wth? How inconsiderate to not at least communicate with a client if you cancel an appointment.

      Vetco is terrible. I will never take my dogs here again. Vetco personnel text me Saturday about my Sunday appointment stating I was the only person scheduled after 3p and the vet wanted me to come in earlier my appointment was for 5p. I responded that wouldnt be a problem and would be in at 1p. The vet tech texted me back stating to come at 1:30. I show up and they are gone. I call her since she was texting me the day before. They left and went to lunch. It was her bad she told me 1:30. I have the text messages to prove it. Ask me to stay until 3p when they returned. Absolutely not, I drove over an hour and called the morning of to confirm my appointment. I bought a vaccine package and they refuse to give me a refund. I will be escalating this. This is the second time Ive had issued at ************ ** and also ******** IL locations.
