      On the positive side, they offer the option of leases that are less than 12 months. For a premium, I paid for a shorter four-month lease, letting them know on the day I moved in, that I would not be renewing. I was forced to find a hotel initially, as my room was not ready on the move in date due to the being permeated with the smell of cat urine. I tried to be as understanding and cooperative as possible with the delays. 30 days before the end of my lease, I stopped in the office to remind them that I would be making no changes to my lease, and moving out as per the original lease, in 30 days. I was advised that because I did not give them 60 days' notice that I was NOT going to make any changes to my lease, that I would be charged an additional month rent plus a $200 fee. I tried to speak to them to ask if they could advertise the room for rent and allow me to only pay for the agreed upon 4 months if another renter responded to the advertisement, however they were unwilling to allow me to stay with the terms of my original lease because I did not give them 60 days' notice that I was NOT making ANY changes to my lease. Have you heard of the term "thievery by fine print?" Beware.

      When I moved out of the complex 3 months ago I understood that everything was free and clear. This company was fired from managing the apartment complex and the new management team didn't even have leases in the computer system. I did not receive my deposit back and received the letter from a collection agency today saying that I owe one more months rent. I did not receive any communication from ConAm. I went to the apartment complex office today and they have no information about the ConAm Accounts. What should happen when an apartment management company is fired and doesn't leave any electronic files about the prior renters?

      I would give this management 0 stars if I could. I lived at Cypress Cove renamed ***** on ****** What a joke this place was. I lived in the apartment complex for 11yrs. During that time we had 9 different managers and countless different office staff. They never answered the office phone or did they return messages. They were so incompetent that who knows who was right. They never went by the lease rules. They made their own rules up. Im sure you can imagine how confusing it was with 9 different managers. Ive always had my own place since I was 18yrs old (43 now) had perfect rental history and no write **** Until my last 2yrs in this dump. All of a sudden we had to pay water, sewer and garbage. Which was anywhere from $80-$90mo. The garbage was always overflowing. The grounds were unkept and the amenities were always dirty nasty. In 2019 they put me through an eviction. I was told if I paid it then it wouldnt be on my record. That was a lie. Not only were they overcharging me in rent, but I had over $400 in credits. In the middle of my lease housing paid more and my portion was less. Which I wasnt aware. It was a difference of $50. They were charging me the $50 then keeping it. It was paid off. They lied it did go on my credit and today it says on my rental application I owe $564. How is that if I continued to live there. Mid 2020 I had to escape my apartment due to a dv situation. I called let management know left messages over and over. I get no call back. Finally I get a hold of them tell them my situation. What do they do nothing. The apartment was mine in my name. They let my ex that was abusing me change the locks. All they cared about was getting that money from housing. There is so much more but way to much to type. They ended up evicting me during Covid. I was in the middle of court when they shut the courts down. Now Ive been homeless the last 4yrs trying to fight this. Dont ever rent from any place that ConAm owns. You will regret it.

      Discovered black MOLD in storage area of apartment from upstairs water leak. Office staff acting very casual about had to call renters insurance just to get some kind of urgency about it. This is the second property Ive had to live in by Con Am and this will be the last. This is the worst property management group that manages more the probably half of the apartments in **************. Previous management group was 10 times better than Con Am. Something needs to be done about them.The *************************.Fed Up **** ***

      I live at El Sereno Sr. *********** Living in *****. We have had 150+ fire alarms since opening in 2019. Per the ** the smokers are causing it. This was marketed as a smoke free residence, however, Mgt allows smokers to move in. This is just one of many complaints.

As an individual with 20 years of Entrepreneurship experience along with providing ******************************** and ******* Services, I do have a great deal of Appreciation z and I am pleased when individuals willing to steadfastly pursue endeavors get win-wins. Like a husband and wife that were brave enough trust to step into such a Glorious task, as providing some pretty awesome and comfortable homes (at least in my experience) in relatively safe environments.       worst apartment complex/management company. i broke my lease over a year ago, paid the lease break fees and final charges, and was even reimbursed by my job for these charges by providing proof that i paid them. i am now in collections for lease break fees that the complex did not once try and contact me about. i have called the apartment complex daily for almost 2 weeks, left numerous messages and no one answers the phone or returns calls. my credit is being affected wrongfully and this complex is doing the same thing to my sister who was a precious resident. they are charging her for lease break fees when she never broke her lease and she is in collections for the same charges. this is a sad excuse for a business.

      Absolutely miserable. They put all their money into the outside gardens and paint jobs and dont do anything to maintain the interiors of their apartments and then when things do go wrong they blame the tenants for things like $100 electric bills because the thermostats are programmed incorrectly well this 70-year-old resident cant see they were thermostat well enough to program it and told them for four months that I was getting these Electric bills and finally my loc came and went well this things programmed to go down to 66 I went God lets be clear **** while Im on the phone Im not capable of doing that am I goes no no tenant is. So then theres the 10 foot stain near my apartment there is the refrigerator that didnt work for four months and theres the shower that leaves aqua blue stains all over it because *** he lets the blonde haired manager will not call anyone to find out where this water is coming from as my body gets covered in lesions and I have to go to dermatologists and have God knows how much stuff burned off in bathing alcohol after every shower so you cant judge a book by its cover *********************** run by Conn M is very attractive from the outside but God help you do not sign a contract with these people they are slumlords

      Lights in my kitchen have been out for four days and I cant get management to fix it after several attempts to get them fixed. Manager is mad at me and acting like a two year old by Not giving my work order to the maintenance crew!
