I'd like to know at what point is SDG&E going to start operating like a nonprofit public entity rather than a for profit entity. Their rates are extreme, their deliver and service charges are extreme, and this is in comparison to other similar public utilities. SDG&E is fleecing all customers while paying their CEO 23+ million dollars per year! I'm not okay with spending my hard-earned as a public school teacher towards the purpose of lining the pockets SDG&E VIPs. I am all for an income based approach to billing. I'd love to see what SDG&E's CEO would pay on an income based billing program verses what I would pay. Additionally, as a disabled Veteran, I am appalled at how I have been treated almost every single time I have discussed my bill with an SDG&E representative. Further, SDG&E, I have three masters degrees, one of them is and MBA, so if you think I do not understand or see your true colors and financial business plan...well I call ********. If you are going to provide electricity to people, then it is your upfront cost and obligation for the last 142 years of being in business to regularly upgrade your infrastructure, and not make me and others of my generation pay for your negligence. I'd love to see how you would explain to the public billing me over $1,700 for one month, and in the same breath argue with me about how my meter is not malfunctioning, when the usage was almost exactly the same the previous month with a bill of only $363. I recommend a full overall of your operations and a civil class action lawsuit to be filed on behalf of all of SDG&E customers by the DA's office. Lastly, you have zero right for me to still be tapped into your grid even though I have a full self-sustaining solar system.

Evil company. They charge the highest in the country just because they can. Your only recourse is to vote for politicians that will decrease sdge prices.

I had solar panels installed by ************************* at ************* literally months ago, making arrangements for installation to meet the deadline of April 15th. The panels have now been installed and inspected months ago, and I have confirmation they are generating power,, yet SDG&E hasn't taken care of final approval, so I am still getting no credit for the 70kWh of energy my panels are generating and feeding into the system each day. I have called *************************, who assured me the loan for the system wouldn't even have to be paid for ***** months and then I could pay the entirety so no interest would accrue; in fact, the system is now costing me twice as much as before the install, as I am paying the same for electricity, but also have to start pay the loan for the nonfunctional system. I view ************************* as a scam artist, ************* is clearly not to be trusted, and SDG&E is dragging their feet getting my system approved months after install and when it is feeding energy into their grid. Boy, how I hate regulated monopolies.

Was hit with a $668 charge for stopping services. The first representative I spoke with told me those charges would drop off and I wouldnt be responsible for them. A month later, hit with a $900 bill, for the supervisor to tell me that the first representative was wrong. I cannot fathom how a person who is up to date on their account can be hit with a $900 bill for stopping services! Keep in mind we lived in a 800 sq ft duplex with no AC they need to review their billing and retrain their representatives.

Sdge has gotten completely out of control. We live in a rural area and have propane so no gas. Just our electric charges have gone up to over ****** a month. This is totally unacceptable. We have no choice but to pay this company or live without electricity. It seems its not even worth the cost to install solar since Ive seen so many complaints about price gouging from people who already have solar installed. Thanks sdge for making everyday living impossible.

Punishing increases in the cost of SDGE Electric Delivery -- over 100% -- while usage between March-April 2023 was stable. Unable to reach someone on the phone within a reasonable time interval (I waited 30 minutes and no one picked up); in addition the April bill does not include a statement which explains this increase. SDGE has earned their one-star rating.

I suspected that my duplex isnt properly split for gas an electric and requested a technician to come out and check my meter. The woman on the phone mentioned that if I have dogs they need to be secured. So come appointment day in which they would come sometime between 8am and 12pm I kept the dogs out of the front yard and waited. And waited. Finally once moon came and went I called and the woman on the phone tells me that the technician saw a sign on the gate that said beware of dogs and left. Didnt call. Didnt text. Or knock. Just left. So I asked why they didnt just call me and she tells me because you didnt request a call ahead of time. A courtesy call was not offered to me previously, and the dogs had zero access to the yard. Now that I wasted my whole morning waiting around for a technician, I get to wait the whole rest of the day because they start work at 8am and stop at 11:59pm. After specifically stating the dogs would be secured the first time on the phone. I am beyond livid, having taken time off work to resolve this issue.

I've lived in San Diego all my life and dealt with SDGE on much better service and realistic terms. I installed solar 8 years ago and my electric bills were negative or a small charge once winter rolled around. Now and all of a sudden SDGE turned crazy and adds huge charges both to my Gas bill from some other address and on my electric where I hadn't had much of a bill for 8 years as I went to full 33 panels and always produce more kw (average +/***** kw pr month) 3x more than I ever use and am now somehow being charged up to $250/mo for my electric!!! This after I spent 30k installing and plan to buy an EV to utilize my investment. Additionally and all of a sudden SDGE has me paying some new solar company CCA? WHY? I HAVE SOLAR!! This all came to light looking at my auto pay charges on my checking account from SDGE... ,HUMMMM WHY SO HIGH? I tried to log in but was locked out, had to go through the long waits to get undone, once looking at my account I also saw they wanted $10,385 for my gas bill!!!...God had alerted me for sure! Of course any auto pay on that would have not been paid...(who uses 10K in gas anyway???) Nither account charges make any sense....just have to pay what they say until THEY GET FINED!!! HELLO!!! (and no cant of course pay that 10k that they do say is an error and will correct but haven't for 5 months now). They even still charged both ************************** when I was away from home for 10 days and didn't have anything on. PLEASE!! BBB, seems this is not just an issue for me but everyone in San Diego. HELP!!!

This company keeps on raising their energy prices on owners of Solar so that you actually get penalized for going solar. I used to pay about $30 a year with my solar panels, now with all of their changes to solar users, my true-up bill is over $250 and there's been no change in electrical usage at my house. As a mater-of-fact I replaced all of my lights with LED's which use less electricity. Go figure.
