I purchased a set of books for my grandchild. (The autopopulate recorded the wrong last name of Gonie). On Aug 5 2022, Puppy dogs and Ice cream charged my PayPal with an unauthorized payment of $97.00. Transaction number 5X391331YM216633X for some digital library that I did not authorize. This is shady business practice. I would like the Funds returned and the have others warned if this business practice.Business Response

I bought books from this company on Jul 3 2022. I noticed that there was a 30 day trial that was automatically added to my order and I clicked to have it removed before I completed my purchase. Now I have a charge through my Paypal account for 97USD that was billed today, Aug 3 2022, on my paypal account, through a different email address than the one I purchased the books from, for the digital library. Obviously with all the complaints that this company receives about the same issue, they are not upfront about what they are doing. The email they send states that your order is being processed and if you want to view it click here. I didn't because I knew what I ordered and I just wanted confirmation that the order was processed. When you click here, it then opens up a copy of your invoice and only then do you see that they still included the 30 trial for their digital library. I never used it and I never ordered it. I would like my subscription refunded.Business Response

We have a promotion where the first month of this subscription is free so that people could try it out. You can decide if you want to try it before checkout. But you can always cancel your subscription through our help center yourself anytime during the trial period as well so that it will not be renewed.
We do not have details of any other email address of yours other than you used to make the purchase. As soon as the purchase was complete an order confirmation email was sent and a separate email was sent with login instructions and how to access the digital library. Also, an email notification is sent as soon as the subscription is renewed and the charge is debited from your account to the same email address used for the original purchase.
We see that you reached out to our customer support team the same day you received a charge for your subscription and our customer support team explained the product when it was purchased, and its purpose along with the benefit associated with it. You asked the subscription to be canceled and a refund issued which our customer support team took care of and confirmed the same to you. Do not worry, the refund has been issued to the same account used while placing this order for the books and the subscription.

I purchased 3 childrens books on July 1st. No issues, arrived promptly.Yesterday,, I see my **************** card charged $104.04 to this company. I did not authorize this charge. They claim I opted into some trial. I never received any information about any offers. On July 27. PDIC Books billed my credit card for ninety-seven Dollars ($97.00) for a supposed purchase on July 25, 2022 from this company. I have ordered from you only one time, a month or so earlier, with no plan to continue ordering. This latest billing gives no information as to what supposedly was ordered, and I have not received any shipments from this company. I had ordered 3 rather expensive books a few months back and apparently when placing an order it automatically signs you up for a subscription in which I didn't agree to unless it was a fine print notification hidden in the purchase page. I don't appreciate $97 being automatically taken out of my checking account for children's books without even a notification making me aware of it. I am requesting that it be refunded and canceled ASAP however, my understanding in reading the reviews this is not an easy process and a huge inconvenience to me. On June 18 2022 I purchased 3 books for my granddaughter for which I was charged on my pay pal account. ( order number- B-OXW21623SN556103D). She has never received the books and the order cant be tracked. in addition, Puppy Dogs and Ice Cream Charged my PayPal account for a subscription I never wanted. $97 appeared on my Pay Pal account for a free 30 day trial for some PDIC Books!!!It took a great deal of time to cancel this and I want the $97 credited back to my PayPal account as soon as possible! As I just discovered it yesterday and have not used this at all!!! This 30 day free trial for digital books was not ordered! They say free 30 day trial and then charge you?? Please help me resolve this with them. I would like the original $37.40 and the$ 97 Refunded to me asap! But you can always cancel your subscription through our help center yourself anytime.
We apologize since you did not receive your physical book order. However, your order was shipped through **** under tracking 9241990306532300477297 and as per the **** update, it was delivered on June 24, 2022. But, we will raise this with the carrier partner for further investigation.

On June 11, 2022 a charge for $97 was taken from my PayPal account for a digital library I did not order. I've tried to contact them and all I've been able to do is block them from being able to take any more money out of my PayPal account. We ordered books last year and received them. Then they sent more books without us ordering them. We sent them back and said cancel all future orders. We never received a refund for the books we sent back, which we have a tracing # saying they were delivered June 21, 2022. Now we just saw a charge on our credit card for $107.
