Hello, ** reaching out to you regarding a recent experience I had at an RV show held at ****************** in ******* on October 13, 2023.My experience, there was very disappointing heres why. I met up with a salesman by the name of ****, who is from *******. Sorry I dont know his last name it could be ****** or *****. Anyway, we went through the details of the deal and everything was written down and documented. At that point he turned the paperwork into your finance department and everything was calculated interest rate payment, etc. etc. they ran my credit and I was approved with a FICO score of 823.What happen next was a little questionable. The deal was supposed to have some added equipment that was disclosed and documented before the paperwork was turned in. The add-ons are matching spare tire with carrier and upgraded stereo for the ************* motorhome that I was looking to purchase, stock number VN194692.Again what happen next was a was another bad experience.*********************** was the sales manager at the show, and ********** was handling the finance. We agreed on the payment amount of $843 a month. At this point, **** asked me to initial and sign preliminary paperwork that basically stated that I agreed-upon the deal however, one of the documents I initialed **** said he will put the payment amount down once he walked in the finance office 20 feet away so that he can get the exact amount. Shame on me for initialing something that wasnt disclosed/documented before I initialed it! I felt there was nothing to worry about because Ive already saw the payment amount of $843 on a previous document. From here I told **** that I needed some time to think about it. Since my brother was with me I walked away to discuss it with him. Then I came back to discuss it with **** Some more. I thought maybe I should ask about the add-ons just to confirm they were added into the deal. At that point **** told me that none of add-ons were calculated in the deal.I ask why not didnt **** send in the paperwork with all those add-ons included ***** answer was, we did not see it and **** didnt mention it. I thought to myself thats a terrible way to do business! Now at this point I was very frustrated and disappointed with the whole process. I was ready to walk without purchasing it.Heres where it gets sketchy again I come back and discuss it some more with **** and he agrees to put in the carrier and spare matching tire into the deal at this point I still think its going to be $843 payment.I agreed on the deal then he hands me an envelope with my paperwork in it he shakes my hand I start walking away with my brother. I then pull the paperwork out of the folder and start going over some of the details before I get 100 feet away I realize that the paperwork now says $866 a month when it was supposed to be $843 a month. Oh, and by the way, that was the initial that I put down on the paperwork before he put the payment amount.??So what Im questioning is why didnt **** tell me the payment amount changed before he handed me the envelope and why would you ask somebody to initial a document that was supposed to disclose the payment amount before writing it down?**** should have put the payment amount down and then ask me to initial it. Once again, another questionable practice, and shame on me for trusting him! These are really big lifetime Commitments people are making and it shouldnt be handled so carelessly. 240 months of commitment on a payment is a big deal unless youre a multi millionaire but then again they would pay cash. So, in conclusion, the deal never went through. I just thought I needed to share my experience with you so that maybe you can help them become better at what they do with some very needed training. Or simply just slow down, and make sure all the details are handled. Whats the point of documenting things if youre overlooking it!This is the document on the bottom right corner that I was asked to initial before the payment amount was added!image1.jpeg Best ********************* Cell # ************

      Good morning,

Thank you for this correspondence. We're so sorry to hear your sales experience was not optimal, and will take this feedback to improve our sales process. It appears the ******* work-sheet you received was not reflective of certain add-ons, which explains why the final sales documents presented to you had a difference in price. We understand this frustration and will use to train our sales team in the future.

On 5/28/2022 I took my Winnebago ****** 2500FL Towable ** into La Mesa RV to have the bearings repacked. The unit was approx. 1 year old with slightly over **** miles on it. La Mesa notified me that all 4 brakes needed to be replaced. I authorized the service and all 4 brakes were replaced and the bearings repacked. I paid $1628.46 on invoice # ZACS308045. After the repair I brought the unit home and stored it assuming the repair had been performed correctly. I used the unit 4 months later in Oct. 2022 and had a minor issue with the brakes failing to operate due to electrical issues. This problem is unrelated to the complaint. In Sept 2023, I again had the same electrical issue with the brakes which by then had failed completely. I contacted a mobile ***** certified ** repair tech to diagnose my electrical problem with the brakes. I felt it was very unsafe to attempt to tow the ** to La Mesa for any repair service, and La Mesa does not provide *************** While troubleshooting the electrical problem, the ** tech discovered that the brakes were improperly installed. The right side brakes were installed on the left side and vise-versa. There is a engineering purpose for which side the brakes are installed; incorrect installation leads to weak brake performance, premature failure and introduces a very significant safety hazard. I paid the ** tech to correct La Mesa's improper installation, and left an voicemail with ***************** Manager ******************************* on 9/27/2023 and received no response. I contacted ***** at La Mesa's Customer Relations on 10/3/2023. She informed that there is nothing to be done as the repair is outside of the 90 day warranty. My main issue is that it was impossible to visually verify within 90 days that La Mesa had installed the brakes incorrectly. To do so would require jacking up the ** and removing tires and brake drums. I only seek repayment of the the labor costs of La Mesa's improper installation.

      Good afternoon,

Thank you for this correspondence. La Mesa offers a 90-day warranty on labor. This issue was presented to ******* nearly a year and a half after the servicing in question, well outside of the warranty period. Further, any kind of braking issue would have immediately manifested. La Mesa declines to reimburse this customer on this issue.

I recently purchased a brand new fleetwood discovery from your palm beach ** show on July 25, 2023.The ** apparently sat in the davie location and ****** told me that people were still able to walk through and look at it. However it looks as though someone has been LIVING in it. Its supposed to be brand new and isnt. Its a used lemon. The outside has a giant chip on the side and the front has a dent and the paint is bubbled. All four chairs are scratched or have holes in the fabric. The table is missing that goes to the sofa. There was a long brown hair in the dryer and the washing machine smells like mold. The shower has something disgusting on the floor that doesnt come off. There are scratches all through out the rv as well on the outside of it. The main slide out on the passenger side and the driver side front slide out do not work at all. They need to replace all of the house batteries apparently. There is a key fob missing that they supposedly ordered. The refrigerator has a dent in it. The bottom drawer in the bathroom is in terrible condition and supposedly going to be replaced. ****** told me that it came from the factory that way but it wasnt that way at the show. There is a storage door on the outside that doesnt close properly and isnt in line with the others. One of the guys working there (****) told me to log him out of his ******* accounts on the televisions..They picked the ** up after dropping it off because of all of the malfunctions and lies they told me about the unit. I am paying for a lot in an ** park that it's never been to. They have had this ** since August 20, 2023 with no resolution. They are no longer returning my phone calls. Last conversation that we had, I had told them that I want either a brand new unit, a deep discount on the used unit or a full refund including the lot that I'm paying for and the money I spent on their extra warranty. I also have receipts for both of those that I can provide.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! If only we could give negative stars. We purchased a winnebago and extended warranty September 23rd 2022 from La Mesa RV. Very quickly started having structural and mechanical problems with it after only using it on 2 quick weekend trips in the fall, never using it to its full capacity including not filling water tanks. After many unanswered messages we were finally able to get it in for WARRANTY repairs in May of 2023. After that crickets.... after a month of them having our camper and no communication we reached out multiple times to get a status on repairs and would never get a call back. In July after again many calls we were told they would not cover many of the things that needed repairs and blamed it on winnebago. This week after having our camper for over 4 months!!!! we were told it would cost an additional $2000 to repair the broken water heater stating it was water damaged. WE NEVER USED THE WATER AND WINTERIZED IT PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS!!! Along with charging us $400 to adjust the door that swings open when traveling. AGAIN THIS IS A BRAND NEW TRAILER STILL UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY ALONG WITH HAVING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. When we asked for our trailer today they told us it would take a few days to get ready for pick up. We told them we wanted it back today, almost 5 months was long enough, they sat it in the middle of their parking lot without placing a block under the hitch leaving us to scramble to find bricks to lift the hitch high enough to hook on to our truck. ****** was also dirty and full of dead moths at pick up. Such a disappointment and the $400 door repair we paid for didn't stop our camper door from swinging open on the way home..... THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING FROM LA MESA RV

      Good morning,

Thank you for this correspondence. ******* corporate has reviewed this customer's claim history. A combination of waiting on warranty approvals and parts delays caused this unit to be in *******'s possession since May 16, 2023. Additionally, Winnebago denials of certain warranty claims contributed to this customer's frustration. We will have our team reach out to the customer to see if there are other ways we could improve our service experience.

07/21/2023 Tiffin RV Service After more than six weeks at their facility none of the six issues were repaired correctly and in fact caused more damage to chassis battery and refrigerator. Some issues were not even addressed without any explanation. Service advisor did not keep me updated on cost and applied charges that should have been warranty. Only one charge I approved but it was based on untruthful and incomplete information and they only performed half the job.Submitted attached letter which explains the complaints in detail and request for full refund of ******* and ******* survey but ******* has not replied. I have photo evidence of every problem and some witness testimony. Invoice and photos to large to submit at this time, possibly I can add later

      Good afternoon,

Thank you for this correspondence. We are sorry your service experience was not ideal.

Regarding the customer's concerns that his unit was not plugged into shore power while it was in our service lot, units are not typically plugged into power while on our service lots. ******* is not responsible for maintenance of units, including plugging into shore power, charging chassis  batteries, etc. while units are in our possession. This is indicated in the repair order paperwork.

With regard to the customer's concern about items on his repair order not being approved, we are happy to pull the repair order to review. We will abide by the documentation in the repair order. We will be in contact with the customer regarding the outcome of our investigation.

      Thank you,

Sorry for the delay responding but I was tied up traveling to the ********************** in ******* ******* at significant time and expense and getting 2nd opinion and proper repairs done caused by La Mesa RV

First they have never contacted me in regards to this complaint.
I was not given any repair order paperwork until after I picked up my vehicle. From research and second opinion from the actual factory I should have been informed of several procedures to perform prior to dropping off by staff verbally and paper list to prevent damage. I was not informed of anything, La Mesa completely negligent.
Also they do not address all the misdiagnosis  lack of communication ,and items not addressed during six weeks.

The are not truthful as no investigation was done into repairs not being approved. Please ask them to provide proof of documentation.

I have indisputable evidence of La Mesa negligence and misdiagnosis provided by repair invoice from Tiffin factory service.
Also uncovered by the factory service was the cab seperation issue, the screws were never installed which means La Mesa sold me this RV without disclosing such a major defect. This is probably why La mesa avoided telling me the cause.

      Thank you

I purchased an Rv from La Mesa RV and it arrived without a critical house battery component, after six different attempts at repair, with me having to constantly reach out and get them to schedule me, they finally admitted my vehicle was delivered incomplete. The warranty should cover this but they constantly delay or dont contact me to schedule the next appointment when the part is supposed to be shipped. I paid $130,000 for the vehicle and havent been able to use the ************* Systems due to this manufacturing flaw and their unwillingness to rectify the situation.

We purchased a Class A RV from *********************** in August 2022. At the *** the leveling jacks we're not working. ******* assured us that the had diagnosed the issue and a new control panel was needed. They added the control panel to the "We Owe" list and told us it would be shipped to our home and they would reimburse us for the install. I checked on the status in December 2022 and was told by our Service Manager that no one told him to order the panel and that "he thought the jacks we're working." After waiting another 6 months for the panel to arrive we had it installed. As it turns out the panel was NOT the issue and the jacks are still not working. I contacted ******* and was basically told that they sent us what was on the list. There was no concern that the part was not the issue and they sold the rig without actually knowing what was wrong with it. They have stopped responding to our emails. We now have to take it to a dealership to have it diagnosed correctly and repaired. I feel that we should be reimbursed for this repair as that was the intention of ******* in assuming it was the control panel.

We purchased a new 2022 RV from La Mesa RV on 5.17.22. On 7.23.22 we took it to La Mesa RV for warranty work. Per the work order the repairs were to be completed by 8.31.22. Multiple emails, voice mails and messages have been left for our Service Advisor (SA). Our SA does not return our calls or respond to emails. Escalation to their inhouse lawyer (***) was initiated on 5.30.23 during that call along with an apology and a promise to research, and the company contact expectations were shared. On 6.5.23 a walkthrough of the trailer identified only 8 of the 45 items were repaired (repaired on 11.30.22) additional cosmetic and non-cosmetic issues have occurred while La Mesa RV has had our RV. On 6.7.23 the *** advised we would be contacted 2x a week with a status update. As of today (6.23.23) it has been 11 months since we took our RV to La Mesa RV repairs are still not completed. Our standard warranties have expired. We have missed out on over 22 opportunities to use our RV. Communication policies are not being followed. 25 days have passed since this escalated,19 days since the Service Advisor manager has contacted me and 17 days since I spoke with the ***.

      Good afternoon,

Thank you for this correspondence. We understand the frustration associated with the inconvenience of having a trailer in for service. However, La Mesa has emailed this customer with updates both on 6/16 and 6/23 to a verified email address. For reasons that are unclear, the customer has not received these emails. The corporate team forwarded both emails with updates to the customer on 6/23/23. That email went through.

This customer's unit will be ready for pickup on 6/28. Corporate has asked service management to call the customer to coordinate as the customer's email address is not always reliable.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, The response does not resolve the communication issues prior to escalation on 5/30/23. ***** communications after 6.5.23 were not received on the days intended but were received and read as of today. Those I have been working with are actively trying to address repairs that were identified. As some parts had to be ordered and will not arrive till the end of July. I will wait for the business to perform the additional repairs and, if it does, will at that time consider this complaint resolved.
