Apparently Truthfinder has been tracking me across *******. I find this intriguing but mostly unsettling and disturbing. The only individuals that should be aware of my travels are trusted loved ones that I have regular contact with. I do not consent to my sensitive being publicly available for every miscreant searching for a new victim. Therefore, pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) I am requesting the deletion of my personal information collected from Truthfinder's website and I am requesting to opt-out of the sale or sharing of my personal information on Truthfinder's websites or partner websites. The profile that I referring to lists my name as ***************************, age as 34, and location as *************, **. In addition, Truthfinder is also selling my sensitive data to and advertising my data on affiliated websites and partners such as IDCrawl which enables the extreme proliferation of my personal data, much like a virus. The site provides information about people.I spend almost two hours on the site, was charged (yes, I have a receipt) and was unable to get a report.I left the site and tried again to get the report I paid for and, again, had to answer multiple question without getting the report I paid for.When I finally found a button to click on, I was informed I have to pay another fee to download the report. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!! SHAME ON THEM. ************* are the shittiest & shadiest of all these type of businesses - they are just one of many stupid a** online, muckrakers that aggregate, publicly available information, and get you all hyped up and jazzed up like youre getting something special! They drag it out, build up the anticipation, while they do continuing progress sliders in the background, big exciting countdowns, all to wet your whistle ********, bells, and whistles, and pretend like they found all this stuff about your inquiry - then you give them your information, and they hit you with the price.Most crappy businesses like this charge of buck or two for their service. I paid for a service that was not delivered as promised. It was supposed to be back research. But the reports didn't even have the information i already have. They charged me services they never provided. For instance my deep-dark-web report never presented a report, Good or bad. Then I was charged $30 a month for 3 months. I never received an email or a receipt, so they went quietly charging me. At first I agreed to pay $17.99. I didn't agree to pay that every month. It was a free trial which I didn't have the chance to use. I knew that I was going to pay the $17.99. I didn't agree to pay $30 a month. In the screen shot it says these are my relatives. I have many more relatives than that. I got a report of all of the phone numbers I have had. Hardly a deep dive. On my receipt it says I have unlimited access to reports but yet it ask for $7.99 for a report. I have access to this account until ********.Business Response

So this business is putting out false and misleading information they are tricking their people I would never know about this if I wasn't to come across the advertisement I read free background check or free public reports I thought I would look up myself thinking it's free what's the big harm you know this is public information that anybody can obtain so I was like yeah it should be free anyway I'll click on it after I put in my personal information and everything and in order to get the report it's not free they wanted to charge like 28 $30 or better and I'm not agreeing to that they are trying to charge me money for information they have on me that's supposed to be public record according to them but they tried charging me for my own information back and I don't even know how they got a hold of it they should not even be selling my information they're making money off my information whoever looks my name up they make money from that that is not okay with me so I wasn't agreeing to the charges but yet they go ahead and charge my card anyway I'm not even too sure how they got that information but I'm assuming it has to do something with ****** which ill be desputing that as wellBusiness Response

Made a purchase on 11/1/23 for around $28 using my PayPal account. The information I received was not only inaccurate, it was mixed with other peoples information. It did not contain anything that is not available from a ****** search. Even as its running the check, there are misleading popups that say Contains Graphic Photos, and Criminal History.
