They had an old charge listed for a family member of mine. The charge was dismissed the next day and expunged a few days later by the judge. This was over a year ago. However Truthfinder has it listed as a conviction and is still showing on their site. It was a charge not a conviction. Expunged means it is not supposed to be available for the public to see, and Truthfinder refuses to remove it. In addition, they have people linked as family members that we've never heard of and inaccurate emails, addresses and phone numbers for me and other family members. Total waste of time. They really need to change their name.

I tried truthfinder, a free trial, had to give my credit card of course. I did a background check on myself, the first thing that happened is that if you want a complete background check then you pay extra for PDF'S, telephone numbers, email address ect so it turns out you pay a lot more than they they tell you.... and most of the information regarding me was incorrect. if you try this check yourself first. I can ked my subscription the same day as I started it, igot a cancelation email the same day and what do you know my card has been charged...I don't know about all the great reviews. But my experience makes me see Truthfinder as a scam...Truthfinder

They COMPLETELY hurt people like me who is a victim of Identity Theft. They weasel their way out by throwing in small print that says "we cannot verify ANY of the information is accurate." None of it; so talk about hypocrisy...Truthfinder can't verify it's TRUTHFUL" So even after filing 2 FTC reports, Fraud claims with Navy Federal, 17 individual businesses, **** hospital and police reports... they still use ridiculous fear tactics implying that you're about to find out the person is a monster. What's even more pathetic, they repeat it throughout your waiting process, not because (as they word it) "This May ****** Your Feeling About This Person FOREVER" or "You Will Be Shocked" & the other famous "You'll Find Out Who They REALLY Are" they manipulate you into thinking your neighbor is a child molesting serial killer...and they don't even guarentee 1% of it to be True!! They only do it for 1 reason plain & simple. Greed--to make money; and LOTS of it. But they offer NOTHING to the individuals like me who had to "Find the Truth" on my own. And to make it worse. This is the 3rd time I've requested my information be removed and it not only STILL has all the false & fraudulent information...but there's far more than when I first contacted them. Not one time has anyone from "Truthfinder" even guided me or offered me any type of protection or Identity Restoration. That being said, they should be held responsible for knowingly gathering potentially ??% false information that has been mentally & physically exhausting trying to actually "Find The Truth" In their defense, I'm sure a majority of their service is helpful to some, but if you can't stand behind the quality or guarantee of the service you're providing? They had me linked with people I dont even know definitely not related to they dont even have me in as my legal married name the only accuracy was my address and my age its bullshit!! The free information you are showing on the website is inaccurate and just false. I hope that the information you give the paying customers is accurate and not just lies like the information that you can see for free. But I bet you dont show ANY of the negative reviews! I checked my bank statement a couple of weeks ago and saw a charge for $4.99 from TRTHFDR*Truthfinder800 and didn't know what the charge was from. The next week I see a charge of $28.05 from the same company. Then I realized this was a charge I didn't make. I reported it to my credit union and closed the card used for the transaction that was attached to the account. I have never been to their website, let alone authorize debts. I searched my ****** history and saw not record of ever visiting their website. I still don't know how they got my account info. Be careful where you put in my information.Truthfinder

Typical scam site. They lead you to believe that your report loaded with information you do not know. After waiting forever for the supposed searches, and when this unbelievable report is ready, then they hit you with the charge of $28, or $29 if you want your report.
