      Only give 1 star because ar least 1 is required. Road Runner is a money making machine before customer first. DO NOT sign up for VIP. I have been unable to cancel using means in instructions. I ensured I was cancelled in the store but still got charged for the next year. After speaking to someone on the phone I was ensured I was cancelled and reimbursed. After, I received yet another email saying I had continued with the next year and would be charged. Dishonest, scamming and disappointing. Not to mention each time I tried to use my rewards $ in store they. would say I had none. I would shoe them my email showing reward $ available and twice I got, "We'll make an exception just this time.". This happened twice. I never plan to use Road Runner again. Never.

      Buyer Beware Disappointing Experience with Road Runner Sports Online I ordered a new pair of shoes from Road Runner Sports online store about a week ago, expecting a brand-new item as advertised. Unfortunately, what I received was far from that. The shoes arrived with visible wear on the soles, stains on the upper fabric, and shoelaces already installed, indicating they had been previously worn or handled inappropriately.I promptly contacted customer service and spoke with a representative named ****, who was courteous and professional. After reviewing the photos I emailed, he acknowledged the issue and agreed that this was not how new merchandise should be sent out. While I do appreciate their willingness to replace the shoes, when I asked what would be done to address the inconvenience and disappointment, I was told nothing further would be ********** my view, sending out used or damaged shoes while advertising them as new raises serious concerns about quality control and customer care. Mistakes can happenbut how a company handles those mistakes matters. Based on my experience, I cannot in good faith recommend shopping with Road Runner Sports online.I share this review to help other consumers make informed choices. Proceed with caution.

      Whatever you do DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR VIP PROGRAM. Bought a pair of shoes over a year ago, and they sold me on the VIP program to get a discount on my shoes. Fast forward to a year later and I recalled that they mentioned this was a yearly charge, no big I figured I would call and have them cancel as I no longer needed it.Calling this store is a waste of your time, I called and the phone rang for 20+ minutes. No answer at any point so I drove all the way to the store just to cancel. I told them I wanted to cancel my VIP and they said no problem and they supposedly turned off my auto renewal. I asked for an email confirmation that my renewal was cancelled but they said they could not do that, but just trust them it was ************** forward a few months later and big surprise, I get a $50 charge from road runner on my credit card. This store is unethical, and I am certain they are charging many people without their knowledge. Do not support this business, they should be shut down for fraud.

      I placed an order on March 28th with a promise ship date of 4/3. I call because I have received no updates on my order, and after seeing they had 3 units in stock available for purchase. I'm told it's still on backorder and has not shipped, that the information on their website is incorrect. Had I known that's how they do business, I wouldn't have placed that order. I'll be cancelling the membership, keeping the receipts confirming the date of cancellation, and if they try to charge me for membership charges at a later date, I will report it as fraud to the bank, and file a complaint with the BBB. Although, I'm not sure the complaints are actually effecting the business rating. Which is a surprise seeing that they are notorious for continuing to bill membership fees long after the customer has cancelled. It seems more like a system of ask forgiveness when if/when they get caught.

      On Jan 2, 2025 my credit card was charged $49.99 by Road Runner Sports. I called the 800 number, was on hold for 20 minutes. The gentleman who answered the phone, kept trying to explain all the benefits I received. I kept saying I did not sign up, reverse the charge. After multiple times he finally said I understand I will credit your account back. I have not shopped at a Roadrunner store in over 15 years, so not sure how they got my credit card and email address. Beware, check credit card charges often.

      The store signed me up for the store's loyalty program which I did not approve. Charged my card $49.99 - once I disputed the charge they credited the account. Now months later, ONCE AGAIN they have charged my card $49.00 and I am having to dispute the charge. Obviously the employees work on commission. Never shopping there again! Buyer beware!!!

      two separate occasions charged for vip, this happened at two different stores, years apart. I make a purchase using a vip account not related in any way to my credit card and then a few months later a random charge comes in this time for ***** causing me to cancel my credit card. This is literally crazy!!

      Unfortunately, I signed up for Roadrunners VIP program 2 years ago for Christmas purchases. I canceled it 1 year ago but recently discovered they never canceled it. When I called about it recently, they admitted there was a problem with canceling online and canceled it for me. Similar to other comlaints I've seen, I was told I could use rewards cash through the end of the month. When I tried to do so, another *** said it was canceled and I could not redeem. I was out the ***** renewal, lost ***** in rewards cash but they prorated the renewal funds and gave me back 4.00 for half a months membership. I guess they made out on the deal and believe that's part of the scam. Instead of closing it at the end of renewal (1/2 month) and letting me use rewards cash, they refund 4 bucks out of 50 and called it even. Do not fall for their scams!

      I was scammed out of $49 by the ************************************ location. I purchased a running arm band for a cell phone and then one year later get hit with an automatic $49.99 membership fee. It was the only time I was ever in that store. I never consented to a membership and it wasn't even mentioned to me. It took a long time to finally speak with an operator at Road Runner. She said they would cancel the membership and refund my money, but there was no apology offered and she acted like I must have signed up for it. This is a complete scam and fraud. Avoid them at all costs.

      We bought a pair of running shoes in 2021. Without knowing we were signed up for the VIP club. Also without our consent we have been charged yearly $69.99. Surprisingly, we were charged a recurrent charge to our debit account from an expired debit card for this membership. We managed to have our bank block the most recent transaction and we were able to get a refund for this year's attempt. We called Road Runner and were on hold for 2 hours with no response. This is a scam, Road Runner, does not send you a receipt or inform you of these charges and freely signs you up to this "reward" system. I highly suggest and encourage people to shop elsewhere. I hope that with all of these complaints, there will be a formal investigation to stop this business from taking financial gain from non-consenting customers through predatory tactics.
