    This company is a scam. I was in need of a stylist and I googled stylist near me . I wanted a particular braid style and picked a stylist with 111 reviews and 5 star rating. She never responded to me only after she says 18 minutes but it was defiantly more. She never had an address or phone number and was a house beautician. I canceled my appointment in 12 minutes because she didnt respond and I needed to know how far she was from me and the appointment was scheduled in an about 2 hours. They charged me 60 dollars for canceling in that time frame. This is fraud! It does not matter a 24 hr cancelation fee is 50 percent this stylist is *********** Braids her name is ******************************* do not book with her she is a SCAM artist with multiple locations in ********. ******** was nasty and refused to give me back my $***** I disputed it with Style Seat they did nothing they said there was nothing they could do. I disputed with my bank as a charge back attend to *** for fraud once I find out where ******** is located Im going to serve her and take her to small claims court yes over $***** dollars. Style seat tried to offer me 25 dollars to use there website again I declined and told them to go f themselves they are crazy to think I would ever use that website again. DO NOT USE STYLE SEAT they do not care about scams on their sites . Good luck with getting that ***** dollars from the charge back.

We've taken a look and can confirm that the Professional you booked with had a late cancellation policy of 50% of the appointment total listed on their profile at the time of booking. Since you canceled the appointment within 24 hours of its start time, this fee was charged. We also see that our Support team looped in your Professional to provide them the opportunity to issue you a refund, but they declined.

    StyleSeat is only the software provider your professional uses to manage their business and cannot process refunds.

    Styleseat tried to scam me with a stylist that isn't real. I canceled my card before they could charge me and I will dispute it if they try and charge me later. Stylist don't show up on purpose, you get charged just for booking the appt whether it happens or not.

    I'm so UPSET!! StyleSeats is TERRIBLE. On June 30, 2023 I called Style Seats because I spoke with the stylist the day before my appointment regarding goddess braids and she told me the price was actually more than what is on the website. The original price was $150.00, Anjoli was charging 350 plus for those braids. I asked her to cancel my appointment and she declined, stating that she can't refund, only styleseats can do that. I immediately called and left a message regarding that the cancelled appointment. If you call Styleseats, they say on their message, you're issue will be reviewed and to leave a message, which I did! the day before my appointment explaining everything.. I called my bank and let them know the appointment had been cancelled and no transaction happened. Well, NO ONE ever got back to me. On August 25th, I received an email regarding my financial institution reaching out to them. I responded back to the email and no one ever responded back. Whatever the situation is, they claimed no error has occurred with the purchase. There was NO TRANSACTION. THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND NOW REFUSE TO REFUND ME BACK. Please do not use them, as they're a scam!! the hair dresser's prices were incorrect as per ******. I booked an appointment to have goddess braids done for $150.00. Due to the system having you pay for holding your seat, I invertedly paid the full amount. I'm beyond myself with anger and disappointment that such establishment can't afford to have customer service line and won't reach out unless you call you bank. I really want my money back! No service was rendered! ******************

    My stylist quit using the app for her own reasons. When I tried to cancel my appointments in the app, I couldn't. For over a year now, they continue to put a $1 hold on my credit card for the appointment. I have attempted to communicate with style seat via the website, to no avail. I tried to edit the card information in the app but I can't delete the current card unless I add another. I ended up cancelling that card, so now I just get an email every two weeks that tells me there is a problem with my card. This has been going on for more than a year.

    Horrible app and customer service. I was cancelled on 3 hours before my appt time for a wedding hairstyle and when i asked to be able to leave a review they told me i couldnt as i was never serviced. Its absolutely a scam

    Myself and some friends have used this a few times. For the most part we have all had a pleasant experience. What a relief it is to find a last minute stylist in a moment of need. One hot day in August our school district cancelled school because of the heat. I thought I would cease the opportunity and see if anyone had any opening to get "Knotless braids" done to my head. I came across "TwistedbyMarie". I booked the appointment for the next day. I was still fairly new to the Style Seat app, but thought I was getting better at navigating through it. The app charges you a few dollars to hold you spot before booking. After my appointment was booked I saw that the address was not too far from me. My appointment was for 9:00am. I got there at 8:45 the next day. The building looked empty so I waited. I was expecting to see someone pull up at any minute. As it grew closed to 9:00 I called and left a message to make sure I was at the right place. I then texted. No response. I got out to look into the building again. Still nothing. Then at exactly 9:01am, I get a message from Style Seat saying "Thank you for your payment of $165.00." Now I am furious. Still no answer for the phone of the door. Later I get a text saying did I read the bio? What does that mean? This stylist claims that she needs a $15.00 down payment and that she does not give back refunds. When I brought this up to Style Seat, who by the way was very accommodating. They said there was nothing they could do other that reach out to the stylist. That the refund had to come from her. After that the stylist shows me a screen shot of a text that she sent to me that I never received. I don't even know how you can do that. So for several days I'm going back and forth between her and Style Seat to get my refund. In the end I only got half back. I can see if I missed the appointment. Even the doctors office doesn't charge you the full price for missing your time. So she got over on the system. Be warned!

    The stylist was a no-show and I was still charged. I am very disappointed that my card was charged for an appointment that did not occur. I showed up early and ready for my appointment. The stylist was traveling and state that the app had her availability wrong and she said that she is not the one that initiated the confirmation text from styleseat. I don't where the disconnect easy between technology and people but it is unfair that styleseat does not have a process in place to avoid me even getting charged in the first place. All of your electronic help documents assume the client has no showed or canceled but the only recourse I have for when the stylist did not show is to wait to be charged for a service I did not receive and hope that I get refunded. I am VERY disappointed.

    This *************** is the worst! Since when is it ok to charge the customer's credit card for the full amount before receiving the service? Also I was not aware that the payment would be automatically deducted from my debit card beforehand. If for any reason the appointment is cancelled they've already taken the payment. No one has time to deal with contacting the stylist in hopes of receiving a full refund. Also they do not refund the dollar that they charge to hold the spot. If I could rate this service a zero I would.

    I booked with *************************. We spoke all up until the day of the appt. First off she charged me a full charge of 380 to my card and my card discover said she put it to reoccurring charges of 380. She acted like she was lost but never called me. I gave her my number and directions. I booked this appt almost a month out so I would be secure in an appt before my vacation and my day off. Now Im scrambling trying to find a braider and she messed up my whole schedule because now I have to find a braider at the last minute. Dont use Style Seat they are scammers.

    I had a vendor try to scam me, but their plan backfired. Fortunately, I managed to get my money back from StyleSeat by warning them that I would report the incident to the Better Business Bureau. After this experience, I've decided that I'll never conduct business with anyone if I'm forced to use that app again.
