1 starI have found that Style Seat is ONLY good for the Professionals; not for the customer who are using it to book with these people. I got charged $1 to book a spot, but cancelled same day. -still havent seen a refund on my CC and its been over a week! A customer should be able to adjust their original review for way more than the allotted time offered (1 month?) This booking service **** - a total rip off to customers and stylists. Their booking fees and cancelation policy is very misleading; deducting fees that are not clearly communicated at the time of processing. It's just a matter of time that we will all be filing fma class action suit against this company for recovery of booking fees assessed. When GREED meets business. Stylists, if you value your customers please consider another booking method.StyleSeat

Regarding the fee you were charged to hold your spot, please note that our service fee is required to secure your booking, and details of the fee are displayed before you confirm your appointment. This fee is pointed out at the time of booking and states the amount that will be charged in order to save your spot. BEWARE! Their vendors are not vetted and some are scammers! They allow you to schedule an appointment, request to be paid before the appointment date and then not show up for the appointment! StyleSeat does hold their vendors accountable! Absolutely unprofessional-- I will never use the StyleSeat App again. I do not recommend!StyleSeat

I do not understand why stylist use this feature-probably because I'm not one. I feel strongly how it is not customer friendly and to charge to hold a spot isn't customer friendly either.I inadvertently selected the wrong service under my stylist and was charged the booking fee for the three services. Once I seen what I did I immediately canceled the services and was expecting the $5.70 to be credited back to my financial account.I contacted customer service via email only to be told I wasn't going to get these funds returned and to be more careful. People make honest mistakes and since I canceled within minutes I expected to get my funds returned.I was given this scripted long apology email from this service company that in the end kept my money. I can only how much they have profited from innocent mistakes.*******************StyleSeat

Name of stylist: *** (* **********)Essence is the name on her 'suite'.....please do your homework and be clear with her on whether her skills meet your standards. She will claim and admit she can do your hair but she failed to deliver...TWICE! Plus, she didn't want to take accountability for her wrong. She makes it a habit of being late (probably due to overbooking), and her prices are crazy high for her lazy work. PLEASE beware, you will not be satisfied but instead feel like you just got played!!StyleSeat

I have been on Maternity Leave from being a stylist and wanted to start my business back up. I posted my starter hair services on their site as a professional and received my very first client in a couple of years. I offer scalp massages, hair washing, and loc retwists. Then, they deleted my account, I contacted them asking why and they responded by saying that their compliance team determined that I can't use their platform for clients because they think that I went against their rules. For no reason! Firstly, when I think about it - gross! Who would be dumb enough to use styleseat for that? Secondly, This is a huge discrimination. I don't break rules or laws. I am a ********-abiding citizen and mom, so to be accused of such things when I am only trying to start my small hair business for my community is outrageous and offensive. I am hurt and offended. I really hate this businessStyleSeat

The website is janky. They take wayyyy too much money from you. And on top of that, they dont even have a line where you can talk to a live representative if something goes wrong. Thats how you know they dont care. They want you to email them with issues but they never get back with you. *** tried so many times to create an account with them and it always says Please enter a correct username and password. Note that both fields may be case-sensitive when all Im doing is what it tells me to do. So I have to sign in as a guest. The whole website is just frustrating. I 100% would not recommend using this as a client OR business.StyleSeat

Not a great site for stylist, the fees are ridiculous, they are only trying to take money from all your hard work. The no show policy doesnt work bc they precharge the client yet it still declines, then they claim its Nthn they can do, so wheres the money you precharged? Payout fees, new client fees,etc. Theyll even label it as a new client even when they didnt bring you that client. This website is a scamStyleSeat

Stylist beware!!! This is not a scam review Ive been with StyleSeat for 5 years through their BS. Ive reached the END!! This company is a money hungry SCAM!! Let me tell you how they charge your clients everytime they book $1 that goes to them then they charge you 2% fee on the money you collect .then they charge you upfront 20-40$ when they say their bring you new clients even though the clients find you on fb, or ig. And if you dont have the clients phone number they you have to cancel the appointment losing money if your a busy stylist as myself who has all their clients phone numbers on hand!! They make billions and want to find any small way to make more money off OUR CLIENTS THAT WE WORK GAD TO GET!! Try square or booksy cargo cause StyleSeat is no longer it and they always have app glitches !!!!! Dont do it you customers will complain like mine.StyleSeat

Tried to add my Salon: Southern Girl Luxe Hair and contacted support 1st time because my password would not reset and work. Support responded in 2 days (too long).Next issue same day I have been unable to add services so I have 2 profiles for 2 accounts and cant book appointments!First the save button was faded and would not allow me to click on it. This was a 5 day problem that would not clear. It has now been an additional 5 days and all I have gotten is an automated response of sorry for the delay . . . high issues to resolve . . . will get with you as soon as we can.It has been 2 weeks and no support given to resolve this issue and I just emailed asking to delete both of my accounts.Well, I immediately received 2 marketing text messages within 5 minutes offering me a profile boost saying how stylists benefit when they stay on Styleseat.Styleseat has been highly detrimental to the success of my new business. If I continue waiting for them to get me up and running on their booking app I would lose far more business than I already have.This is what happens when you deal with tech people who raise a c*** load of start up capital pitching a great app idea to investors and dont take care of the customer service side of ***************************** is making an extraordinary amount of money every month without having to offer good customer service and most importantly by not talking to their valued customers.Its time to cancel Styleseat. Too many other booking apps out their to be ignored by Styleseat.StyleSeat
