    Made an appointment to get my hair done at 1 pm the stylist text me back saying she couldnt do it until 3 pm I told her that time was to late. She then tells me to cancel so that I can get my money back in which I do, then she charges me a cancellation fee of $37.50 in which it wasnt my fault, I reach out to styleseat and they literally told me there is nothing they can do. Total rip-Why am I being charged a cancellation fee? I wasnt late cancelling out, nor was it my fault -- that was my question, and this was there answer. *********************************** charged you a late cancellation fee I wasnt late nor did I change the time I made the appointment at 7:45 am and she told me to cancel and that was at 8:40 am. *************************************** Cancellation Policy You will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment starts. Otherwise, you will be charged 25% of service price for late cancellations and 50% for no shows.

    Style seat is now a TERRIBLE COMPANY do not use them! They are a RIP off! Charging customers a **** booking fee that doesnt even go to the stylist.I understand online platforms have to Make a profit somehow, however ; Id been a loyal customer prior to this. I will make sure others are aware of this! And I DO NOT recommend them to ANYONE!

    Hey **, We always aim to provide a smooth booking experience from reminders to re-book, to paying for an appointment in just a few taps. In order to provide a safe and secure platform for both our clients and professionals, StyleSeat charges a booking fee to cover the operational costs of providing a smooth booking experience. This will require a credit/debit card to be added at the time of booking. The booking fee will power things like customer support, new feature development, and security measures. This is standard practice that other similar platforms use. If your Pro cancels your appointment outside of their no-show/late cancelation policy window, the booking fee will be refunded back to your card. If the appointment is rescheduled, you will not be charged a new booking fee.For some appointments, additional authorization may appear on your bank statement. This is a temporary measure to ensure that the card used for booking has adequate funds for the service(s) scheduled. An official charge to your card will be applied at checkout once the final service total is determined by your professional.

    Ive had style seat since the very beginning, I use to love the platform but in the last 2 yrs thing have changed and no they make me physically sick. Style Seat has scanned me out of money and fees. I have been trying to speak to some one several different times for numerous issues and have just received a automated response. I feel extremely token advantage of and so do my clients.

    Im a professional stylist and I decided to use StyleSeat, which I regret. My clients were charged and I never received the money. *** tried calling them and theres no live person to speak with, they redirect you to chat via helpline. The dumb a** automatic questions that they have selected is never the actual question that you have. I emailed them and nobody has responded. I feel that theyre low key scamming people. They charge the clients an automatic tip, which is the portion of your money that goes towards their (StyleSeat) fee. I dont know when theyre going to disperse my money, but when they do Ill be canceling my whole page. I wish I could talk to someone so I can get an understanding, as to why they dont hesitate to charge the client. But take a lifetime to pay you. They full of shot and if someone is considering doing business with them, I advise you not too. These people will make you get out of character. I had second thoughts about dealing with them. The fact that I just relocated to another city is the reason that I considered doing business with them. StyleSeat needs to be better organized because thats bad business and unprofessional! If I had any typos its cause Im typing fast and ****** off!

    I am a professional using style seat for over 6 yrs I am cancelling. my account they are money hungry they bother my my clients charge then unnecessary fees. I have asked them to stop my clients are asking me too cancel them too bad I asked them to stop they get worse. bad app

    I am a professional who has been using StyleSeat for almost four years. It used to be fantastic. But ever since they introduced their marketing program, its been an extremely frustrating battle with them. I already pay them $35/mo and now on top of that, they are withholding 35% of each new clients first appointment. StyleSeat claims that they find clients for you and then reinvest the money they keep back into marketing (which feels like a scam since Im sure its just an algorithm that boosts your profile). Now I wouldnt be so upset if the clients were ACTUALLY FROM StyleSeat. However, in my case, most of my new clients have been referred by existing clients, some even family members! When I send in a request to correct it, I usually receive an automated email that basically says too bad for you. Most of the time if I can get ahold of an actual human being, they fix the problem right away. But in response to my most recent request which was for FOUR new clients, I was told to go through the automated system which had already told me too bad. I want StyleSeat to keep working for me so badly because in all of the other ways, its great. But theyre scamming everybody SO HARD. If I hadnt been catching all of the money theyve been wrongly taking, Id be out thousands. I shouldnt have to scream and beg to keep the money that *** made. And this whole thing could be fixed by just asking the clients how they heard about us! Shady.

    I tried signing up using my Regular email and it kept saying enter valid email. So I used by ******** and it worked fine. $1621 shouldve been in my acct today 12/23/22. Woke up around 2:00 on 12/22/22 and noticed I had no access. Tried resetting password and it wouldnt come through. Ive sent over 10 support tickets via email. Twitter, ********, and Instagram. Here it is 12/23/22 and I think the issue is they couldnt verify my identity. Because I had a style seat from years ago and they need to be merged. How do you tell your kids they will have no Xmas. How do I explain to car companys that business I chose to do a relationship with didnt even contact me. Im livid and wasnt my money ASAP!!!

    I have used Styleseat several times. I had my first bad experience with a stylist and Styleseat has done nothing to assist and even provided false contradicting information. When I booked my appointment, it stated it was a high demand slot and 20% addition would be added to the booking price as a tip. My stylist was extremely unprofessional. She was upset that I paid through Styleseat and tried to force me to pay her through cash app or zelle. I told her several times that I preferred to pay through the site. She even said this is why I dont allow my clients to pay through Styleseat. You paid 78 and I only got $48 while shoving her phone in my face to show me that Styleseat took a big percentage from her pay. When I left a review, she lied in the response and stated that I was only upset because I did not have the funds to pay her and could only pay only with my credit card. Which was completely false. After looking through more reviews, it looks like she have done this same thing to others as well. I reached out to Styleseat only for a refund of my tip. Nothing else. They stated the 20% was simply a fare for a high demand slot and not a tip. After I sent them a screenshot of their disclosures stating it was a tip, they did not respond. I followed up for a response. They sent me a link to their disclosure which still stated its a tip. She stated a tip was not applied on my end. So where did the additional 20% go? Plus the stylist gave me heat damage. Which is actually cause for a full refund at this point but I only asked for the tip to be refunded since I did receive the service. It seems as if styleseat is misrepresenting where your funds are going. Which is actually base for a lawsuit. However, its unfortunate that they are protecting stylist like this one. Why put your business on a booking site if you are going to disrespect clients who choose to pay through the site you chose for business?

Prior to clients booking, we give an honest and full breakdown of each charge. You must accept all charges along with a full explanation of what the charge is before booking. Unfortunately, we aren't able to issue a refund on behalf of the Pro.     I am a professional who used StyleSeat for 4 years. I recently cancelled my account with them and opened up with *********** instead. They are scamming clients by charging them up to $10 to book an appt and telling clients that the money will go towards their service which it does not because i do not see a dime of it. They also charged my clients $5 to reschedule even though they rescheduled outside of my 24 hour window policy. I was not made aware of ANY of these charges and it makes the stylists look bad when they lie to clients saying that these charges will go towards their service but they pocket the money for themselves instead! For $35/month, which is pretty hefty compared to other booking apps, you would think their customer service would be amazing. But its by e-mail only and they can take up to 1.5 weeks to get back to you. Ive had so many problems with them regarding other issues. Never going back to this app again! GlossGenius has been a godsend to me so far and their customer service is immaculate!

    Gateway for stylist to scam you. I signed up for an appointment. Never heard anything from the hair stylist. I send a message to confirm and she didn't know anything about it. Then she charges me for her not being available. StyleSeat is not on your side. You won't get a refund for something out of your control.
