They randomly deleted my account and embarrassed me in front of my client when I tried to checkout. If youre going to delete an account the more professional thing would be to contact by phone or email. I have several appointments scheduled through the app my clients cards have already been authorized. SMH. On top of being taxed 25% per client they send its just a complete money grab.Ive been using this app for over 5 years Im beyond disappointed. I have a **************** salon and styleseats making my brand look low budget.StyleSeat

Hey *******, we're so sorry to hear about your experience. To clarify what happened here, our team attempted to reach out to you several times so that you could verify your account. After a few months of not receiving a response, we removed your account. It looks like you reached out and provided us with the information that we requested and we reactivated your account. You're all good to go now! Thanks so much.Review fromSearra Eleece

Unethical business practices. If you send your client your booking link via text and the time slot theyre looking to book is unavailable, instead of showing the next available slots if you dont process payments through the app they had my books looking as if I wasnt available for 2 months out and would show other stylists with the available time. If my client booked with another stylist, Styleseat keeps 35% of the first service for bringing that stylist a new client. This is just one of the many examples I continually reached out to support asking why these changes were happening being that I had been using the app for 8 years with almost 400 5 star reviews from real customers and a 4.9 star rating that was based upon customer reviews not the ******************** algorithm of how much money theyre scalping off your appointments and then rewarding you as a Styleseat Pro. After not getting responses via support I began tagging them on Instagram in which I got an immediate response and an account specialist scheduled a virtual meeting to discuss the list of unethical practices that came with the investment deal in *************************************************** 2020 during the pandemic because Im sure they werent making the same money because a lot of regions we werent allowed to work as stylists. The account specialist never showed for the meeting and the next day my Styleseat account was closed however if you still ****** my brand name SEARRA ELEECE Styleseat will be the first thing that shows and if you click the link they are STILL dragging me with the unethical practices. They even left a misleading message that says all Styleseat Pros have a 4.6 star rating which my rating of 4.9 stars was not based upon. We are not slaves.StyleSeat

Hey ******, we're so sorry that this is the experience that you've had with Styleeat. To clarify, what you described is not how our Marketing program works and it is completely optional. Looks like your account specialist tried to reach out to you multiple times with no answer. After receiving this review, we attempted again and still did not receive a response. If you need further assistance with your account, please reach back out to your account manager. Thanks so much!Searra Eleece

This response is a blatant lie. I have records and proof of all of it. The account specialist did not attend our scheduled meeting nor did she respond to my emails. My clients were no longer comfortable booking with their card on file due to all the unethical charges and due to this Styleseat penalizes the stylist in the searches. The 5 star ratings are based upon credit card transactions processed through the appnot actual client reviews as before. When you search my brand name on search engines Styleseat is still the first search result and I havent used the app an entire year and have asked on numerous occasions for my name to be removed from the app because it redirects them to 5-star stylists that currently use your app and then you keep 50% of the first service that styleseat brought to them. I have tested this with several client/friends and other stylists. I have also asked for my analytics from 2014-2020 for proof of the traffic I solely brought to your app in branding my products and servicesnot funding search engines as this app has done. I had over ********************************************************************* 2014 with over 400 5-star written client reviews. The unethical charges began destroying the client/stylist relationship with a lot of the clients because they didnt want to be charged for a popular time slot when they were in fact the stand-in appointment. The marketing you refer to as optional does not prepare the stylist that the client is told they will be paying $50 cheaper than the service provided. If this client chooses to pay cash there is now a discrepancy on what they were advised they would be paying and the actual price. One can not expect to build solid clientele with consumers not willing to pay the prices listed. And again, the 5-star reviews are now based upon credit card processing through the app so you are penalized on Styleseat and your 5-star review rating depletes if your client opts to pay with cash.Review fromIrene A

I wish I had seen these complaints . I booked a service for 100$. 120$ was charged to my account even though I selected no tip prior to adding my credit card number. I selected no tip as I was giving the stylist a cash tip if 20$. The ******************* 140$. There is no real help from the links Styleseat sends you to address any concerns. Buyer beware!!!!StyleSeat

Hey *****, we're so sorry for the confusion surrounding your experience. It looks like you reached out to us and we were able to explain what happened here. Happy to explain here, when you book an appointment, we used to place a temporary authorization hold on your card for a slightly higher amount than your estimated appointment total. This small difference accounted for potential changes in the final price due to tip, added services, and pricing changes. We used to hold these funds till your appointment date and release the hold immediately after your appointment is completed, rescheduled, or canceled. Your final statement will only reflect your actual appointment cost. You should see this difference reflected now. You're all good to go. Thanks!Review fromJada D

As a professional on StyleSeat.com. I am honestly really tired of these undercut a** schemes. For 1 why are yall running specials and not informing us. I pay 35 for my subscription, but I've been having to pay so a client can book with me. Now what kind of bull crop is that. Money issues are out of this world. Honestly whoever owns StyleSeat.com now needs to just shut it down. Yall don't follow booking protocol at all. Really disappointed in this companyStyleSeat

Hey ****, we would love to chat about your frustrations. To clarify, if we offer a percentage off of a service, we cover the cost. We run promotions to bring more clients and to create incentives for clients to book with you. You still receive the full amount for these services. We'd love to chat more. Never using StyleSeat again. I am glad it seems i am not the only client with this issue. They charged me for an appointment that was previously canceled, without taking into account the stylist who rightfully charged me for an actual appointment that did happen. I was told by StyleSeat they would not refund me (I also saw this on their FAQ) and I would have to go through the stylist. So I did. The next day I get an email saying that my refund from StyleSeat is being processed. This entire double-charging situation turned into my stylist becoming unprofessional, by being verbally aggressive and combative with me, insulting me, accusing me of scamming her (why I would scam her for an service that in the grand scheme of things is not as expensive as other services, when she knows my name/phone number/face?? Why would I "try to play games" when she immediately is verbally aggressive/abusive in return? Why would I do that?), etc. She left me feeling completely anxious and stressed all through text which ended up with me having a panic attack in the middle of my work day. I left her a review but I deleted my SS account because I am so tired. Thanks to ******** for ruining my last few days, but mostly thanks to SS for making this situation even more stressful. I definitely am no longer using them again, and I can see why they have terrible reviews.StyleSeat

Don't ever use this method for making your appointments. You have to put up a credit card and pay upfront. Then you are sent emails and text of you choose to remind you of your appointment. Today was the first and last time of using this service. I drove a 60 mile round trip and the stylist never showed. I called the number listed for the stylist (****************) *********, ** and the message said she wasn't taking calls at this time. I went back to arty m styleseat to start my refund, no live person to speak with, all must be done online.StyleSeat

Booked with a makeup artist on 10/16 at 5:00pm. My daughters homecoming started at 8:00 when we arrived the makeup artist said she never received and appointment, even though the the appointment showed confirmed and my credit card was preauthorized for the full amount. I have not gotten in touch with anyone and the makeup artist is still claiming she knows nothing.. sounds like a scam.StyleSeat

1. If you schedule an appointment as a guest you have no access to your appointments to cancel or reschedule. 2. ************ charges your credit card and or debit card for full price when you cancel your appointment prior to the 24hour time frame. I cancelled **************************************************** of an attempted charge by Style Seat of $156(service would have been $120 total). On today and my appointment was 11/19/22. 3. They have a bogus support link for customers that claim to reply but in three days but your card was tapped TODAY.4. If you do create a account it automatically adds a tip percentage that will go to the stylist(if you dont turn it off) or preset it yourself. Last but not least electronic financial scam organization globally. It needs to be reported, because money is being stolen from clients who are not receiving services. Its gut wrenching that this is happening behind a mask called Styleseat like have a seat so I can rob you blind.StyleSeat

Hey *****, we're so sorry for the confusion with this. We'd love to provide clarity surrounding a few of your statements. If you schedule an appointment as guest, you can always manage it from your confirmation email using the "manage appointment" button. Also, we notify each client at the time of booking that there will be a temporary auth charge within 48 hours after booking that will fall off. To address tips, you are notified multiple times to edit your tip before and after the appointment to make sure that you tip exactly what you mean to. You can also edit it to $0 at any time. Again, we're so sorry for the trouble and confusion that you've experienced. We're here to help. If I could put zero stars, I would. I woke this morning to a message from my credit card company about an attempted charge of $5,500 for an appointment that had been canceled a week ago. $5,500!! First of all, the appointment was canceled and the service that I booked was only $200. *** also booked appointment with stylist to later find out directly from the stylist that they didnt even have availability and I shouldnt have been able to book the time slot. Appointment was canceled but I was still charged the cancelation fee. And then on top of that, they dont even have an 800 number to call and complain. Theyre a HORRIBLE business with little oversight and protection of client financial accounts.Ive deleted my account and Ill never book through StyleSeat again. Neverrrrrrr.StyleSeat

This was charged through an appointment that was not canceled and was booked on the client side. We would love to look much deeper into this to pinpoint what you're referring to.
