I indicated to Checkr,'s support team. If my background check was not complete by the 8 th I wanted to suspend the background check due to how long it is taking. I am no longer interested in pursuing. They have decided to ignore my request. I do not want my background checked with Checkr.Business Response

Grub Hub, insta cart, fed ex and some other companies use checkr to check my background. Checkr keeps telling everyone my license is suspended. It's not. I have filed several disputes with the companies as well as with checkr numerous times. Each time I also submitted a current copy of my driving record proving my license is in fact valid. The ********************** people keep saying they put what was on the report but they didn't otherwise it wouldn't say my license is suspended. The companies I've applied to tell me I have to dispute it through checkr. They have cost me several jobs. There is no way to speak to a live representative to get this cleared up and now i can't even login to the website. This has been going on since November 2024.Business Response

Everytime I send a complaint along with copy of current driving record they always say the same thing. That what they have put on my report matches the ***. They aren't seeming to understand it's HOW they are wording it. Where it says type they have state ID valid and while that's yes true they are not clarifying that my license is also valid. What it looks like is just my state ID is valid and my license is suspended. All I want them to do is fix that.Business Response

Theyve taken over 6 weeks to clear my background check. Most checks are done in 3-7 days. I submitted by check on 2/27/25. It is now April 9th. Every time I ask for updates they just tell me sometimes it takes a whileBusiness Response

I originally purchased a personal background check as I was starting a new role in December of 2024 with the indication on the website that this would be delivered to me quickly. It's been months now and the last communication I've received was that my report was being delayed until February. February hits, and still no report. I then reach out to support and ask for a refund as my company has run the background check for me and I no longer require this report, only to be met with "I will follow up via email with you." This company literally drags their feet during background checks. It doesnt matter that theyve already repeatedly done background checks on me in the past, and it doesnt matter that I have actively already received a fingerprint card as of this month from the department of justice this company alone doesnt really seem to know what theyre doing and has no answer as to why its taken beyond the estimated date in order to clear the background check that theyre doing when I reach out the individual I reached out to was more interested in trying to argue with me about many background checks I was going to need for the single company I work with then he was in actually resolving the issue of why the background check was taking so long its been at the same final step the entire time and it is genuinely excessive at this pointBusiness Response

Complaint Regarding CHECKR Background Checkr Delays and Lack of Communication CHECKR, conducting background checks for ***** demonstrates concerning practices. Their background checks take excessively long, often attributed to courthouse delays. However, I found that the courthouse hadn't received my request until weeks after CHECKR initiated the process. This indicates internal delays.Communication is poor; reaching a human is impossible. They quote seven business days, then often extend it by another seven with no proactive updates. This lack of transparency and follow-up is unprofessional.I believe CHECKR's delayed requests and poor communication show a lack of due diligence, impacting individuals' livelihoods. In one instance, my courthouse inquiry revealed no request after two weeks, with it only being sent around the third week. This pattern of delay and poor service warrants investigation by the BBB. Checkr has started a reinvestigation on my background check. And the time frame for the issue to be resolved is unacceptable. Was told 45days or more to complete the process. I do not understand why it would take that long. I was give a report of my background check. The report shows it was over 10 years old. That's not the most recent report on file. So why won't they updated my report to more current information? This is defamation and if I could hire a lawyer I would.Business Response

Checkr flagged my background check as Consider for DoorDash on March 6, 2025, based on a vague DMV entry: UNINSURED MOTOR-INSUR CANCEL-REG. This code lacked context and failed to mention that it referred only to a single older vehicle (a 2004 ****** Altima) that I no longer own and never used for any delivery *********** the time, my license was fully valid, and my current delivery vehicle (a 2015 ***** Civic) had active insurance and registration. The issue stemmed from a technicalityunreturned plates on the old vehiclewhich triggered a registration suspension. I immediately resolved the matter with the *****, surrendered the plates, paid the fees, and submitted all related documentation to Checkr.I provided:A certified ***** drivers abstract showing my license in good standing Proof of current insurance and registration DMV receipts and notices confirming resolution Checkr still refused to update or clarify the record. Worse, they ran the same DMV check for **** Eats and Instacart that week, and both were marked CLEAR, while DoorDashs remained flagged as Consider. The reports are completely identical other than these flags. This inconsistency cost me access to my primary income source for weeks, and is continuing to cost me today. Checkrs dispute process felt automated and dismissive. Every message I received repeated the same generic response: We report what the *** provides. But the ******** wasnt the issueit was Checkrs vague classification and refusal to investigate properly.I'm requesting a corrected report, acknowledgment of the error, written confirmation from Checkr that my motor vehicle record is in full compliance sent to DoorDash, internal policy improvements to prevent similar harm to others, as well as financial compensation for lost income and time. I reserve the right to calculate exact damages at a later date based on ongoing lost income and the continued refusal to reinstate my account.Business Response
