      Checkr was used to perform a background check on me for the company I was am currently being hired for. I keep receiving emails from them saying that there is a delay. When I inquired with the company Im being hired for they said they were waiting on information from a state that I have never lived in or visited. Checkr previously did a background check on me for door dash in February 2025 without issue. I reached out to checkr through their website and they are not providing me with whats going on. This check is contingent on my employment.

      I have been waiting for my background check from Checkr and my entire livelihood depends on it. My chief complaint is AI is used to answer my questions that is too complex for robot to answer. I would not have signed in had I known I gave my personal details to a company that does even have a human being to answer questions. Being left in lurch makes me feel anxious as I am questioning if there is a blemish on my report. Personally, I feel this psychological abuse. If this continues, I will take legal action.

      march 4 2025 spark driver started a background check as of march 26 2025 they have gone over the fair amount of time needed to complete this background check and every time I contact them it is a generic response stating the obvious like time line moved up another week this background check has been moved 5 times now to a further date and is needed to start work. my record is clean and am not on any watch lists lived in only 2 states do not even have *****

      03/01/2025-current a company called Checkr ran a background check on me for 3 different companies and all were given incorrect info. I filed a dispute with checkr 03/21/2025 and have heard nothing. They have taken every opportunity to make money away from me by giving out false information

      Checkr has reported false information. I have checked with SC DMV and the information given does not match what checkr has reported. Checkr reported a drug suspension when in fact the suspension was for a late property tax payment. This has disqualified me from a job and causing me to be unable to apply for any job that uses their service. It is unacceptable to have to wait up to thirty days for them to review THEIR error when all I had to do was make a phone call. I refuse to pay for *** report to prove their error. Checkr has failed

There is no reason for them to not have corrected my information by now. Considering it never should have been incorrectly reported

      I am rejecting this response because I have submitted the ***** report several times that clearly states the suspension in 2018 was not for a non driving drug offense. The issue could have been resolved from the start had the information been verified by Checkr before reporting false information.

      Checkr background check is preventing me from getting driving jobs by showing a traffic violation my driving record over 5 years ago that i have legally taken care of. I see this company often replies to consumer complaints on here but do they ever take accountability for being a horrible company ? checkr is rated less than 3 stars. Its about time the company looks in the mirror at their faulty practices ! Their is even a team of attorneys that specifically go after companies like this! Take some accountability checkr!

      Last week I ordered a full 50 state wide court search and Federal. Checkr only looked up 5 states. I contacted customer service twice and their bots tell me to file a dispute. A dispute cant be filed regarding this matter. I did not get the nationwide search on myself I paid for I want a refund or I want checkr to finish the background investigation.

      They are still not explaining why they did not run a ** on THE STATE I RESiDE. They are claiming This ** was requested by a company and it not true. I REQUESTED THE ** ON MYSELF. Im tired of explaining over and over the same thing. The business failed to do the job I HIRED THEM TO DO. AT THIS POINT DUE TO THEIR IN CAPACITY TO HANDLE I REQUEST A FULL REFUND.       I have been wrongfully discriminated against and deactivated from and unable to utilize multiple apps because of checkr wrongfully reporting inaccurate and incorrect information about me. These companies include door ****, whom I worked with for years and had a great delivery rating with. ****, when I attempted to sign up in order to rent one of my vehicles I wasn't allowed to because I was told that I failed checkr's background check. I wasn't even allowed to rent a car from Turo and when I pushed for info about WHY the answers where very vague and I was eventually told that I was labelled as "high risk" and I have literally no idea how that could be! So I searched and found a deactivation email that I received on Feb 17, 2019 08:45:39 in order to attain a copy of the background report from the link contained within the email but it was not accessible! I attempted to get a copy directly from the checkr website and it wouldn't allow me to sign up without paying over 40 dollars. So now i'm in a situation that I have to pay them in order to see why they are misrepresenting me to these companies! I mean this is truly ridiculous and I'm beyond words. I don't understand how this company has the right to limit my opportunities lie this when I've done nothing wrong. I can't do **** or Lyft, the list goes on and on checkr has made things very difficuilt for me in the job market on so many occasions and I'm fed up, I don't know what else I can do to clear my name and have the same opportunities as everyone else.

      I applied to job and the company I applied to ran a background check on March 3rd 2025. the report according to Checkr is still pending and isn't estimate to be ready until April 10th. Needless to say the wait will keep from providing for my family. Any longer I will lose my home. I don't think it's good business practice to take a month or longer to run ONE person background check. That's it. I just want The BBB to be aware. Hopefully you can do something.

      While most checks complete in 3 to 7 business days, some can take longer. 
      Oftentimes, DMV and the courts have delays and closures. Checkr reviews many databases and county records, and some county courts take longer than others to report data.
