They reactivated my subscription without telling me after I canceled and charged me anyway. I have the cancellation email still from back in March. I logged in and saw it was turned back on, so I canceled for a 2nd time. This seems to be a common thing and is fraud.Business Response

Recently I went onto to hers and was looking at their weightloss programs. They offer certain subscription based products. I went ahead and subscribed to the plan that APPEARS to be 165 a month for 12 months. It is unclear that they will charge you the entire lump sum. My bank denied this transaction and canceled my card. I do not keep more than one grand in this account. I went into hers and canceled the subscription after realizing. Fast forward to today. I finally have a new card. I have entered this card into just ******. Woke up this morning to hers charging my card that they do not have on file for the canceled subscription. How in the world did they obtain my new card information? How did they try to run a canceled subscription? So here I am with another canceled card, and hoping this shady company stops trying to steal from me if I get another replacement.Business Response

05/15/2025, I have been getting a weight loss medication with hers since September 2024, at ****** a month. This month I paid for my prescription, was waiting for it to ship and my order was cancelled. I had to redo the entire process to get prescribed the medication, and was told that I now had to pay ****** for a 3 month subscription, but they had already taken my ****** and it hadn't been returned yet. I contacted customer service more than once, and they didn't offer any resolution to the issue, I still haven't received my refund and I had to front the ****** since the medication needs to be taken weekly, and I need the new prescription to ship.Business Response

I tried a 3 months supply of GLP-1 treatment from Hims. Electing for their shortest treatment plan. I experienced several side affects that resulted in me having to cease taking the drug before the 3 months ended. I never used all the medication. I also did not check in with them because I had ceased using the drug. About 2.5 months after starting my treatment, I received a box on my doorstep with another 3 months supply. The cost $897. I did not ever agree to any treatment or drugs past the first 3 months. Hims claims I consented to an auto fill however that is simply not true. I asked them to refund me and offered to overnight the package back unopened. They denied my request. I find their business practices to auto refill my subscription very shady. I didnt receive any text, email or otherwise that an impending auto refill was coming. It was a complete surprise to me. This is case of me being lured into a bait and bind scheme in a fine print trap. The only notification I received from them was that the order was shipped. Why is that with all their advanced technology, they didnt notify me of an auto refill agreement or impending refill?Business Response

Subject: Complaint Against Hims & Hers Unauthorized **************** Refund Dear BBB,I am filing a complaint against Hims & Hers regarding an unauthorized charge and unsatisfactory resolution.On May 12, 2025, I received a prescription (16 pills, prescribed by **** ******) for $128.00, order #SxsVe7Iwkto. However, on May 16, 2025, I was unexpectedly charged again for the same prescription (order #WYIIENDAF78) without requesting a refill.Attempts to contact Hims were difficult, but I eventually spoke to a representative. I requested a full refund ($128.00) and offered to return the unrequested shipment. I was told returns were not accepted and was offered only 50% ($64.00) back. Despite my explanation, Hims refused to refund the full amount.I request BBBs assistance in securing the remaining $64.00 refund, as the charge was unauthorized. This is the second time trying to cancel a subscription of one of the company's products. The company did not notify me before the subscription was renewed and before the shipment was sent out and the charge processed, I sent a message to the support team asking for the order to be cancelled. The response was as follows: "We were unable to cancel the fulfillment for this order. This is most likely the order is too far down the process path.If you have questions or need help with anything else, were always happy to help!"This is frankly unacceptable and poor business practice. Customers should have the right to cancel an order prior to it being shipped. The company has sent me too much product in the shipments and I am unable to use it all before they send me another shipment which has resulted in having an excess of their products.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I cancelled the subscription within the websites 48 hour request to do so and before the order shipped. I had already gone into my account to cancel the subscription on my own and wasnt given a refund just an alert of the order being shipped. Not giving me a refund especially when I cancelled the subscription within the timeframe on the website doesnt make sense.

Business Name: Hers GLP-1 program Date of Transaction: February ******* Amount Paid: $1,995 Complaint Type: Problem with a Product or Service Desired Outcome: Full or partial refund for unused product; approval to return unopened medication Complaint Description:I enrolled in a subscription program with this company and paid nearly $2,000 under the impression that I would receive medication on a monthly basis. At no point during the enrollment process was it clearly stated that I would be charged upfront for a six-month supply. If I had known this, I would not have proceeded, as it removed the ability to stop the treatment if adverse effects occurred.Shortly after starting the treatment at a microdose level, I began experiencing negative side effects. Rather than advising me to discontinue use, the company continued to recommend additional medications and supplements to treat the side effects:Antacids Probiotics ******* for intestinal blockage Herbal supplements the commended by the company.Despite following these recommendations, the side effects persisted. Untimely leading to an impacted bowel and needing to go to the ** were they immediately told me to stop taking the injections. And they advised me their care solutions were only for me to continue taking the treatment despite potentially deadly side effects I was communicating to hers. I stopped using the product after approximately 9 weeks and now have five unopened vials remaining.I contacted the company to request a return and refund, but was not provided with a resolution.
