      They make no attempt to run an honest business. Avoid like the plague. They will take significant amounts of your money and offer nothing in return.

      They will rip you off. They'll charge you for leads (often before you are even shown the lead) that are fake, not real leads, or the wrong type of job, outside you're working area, that have already been booked by someone else, because you were only shown the lead hours or days after it was originally posted, and simply not shown leads timely enough to bid on them when their algorithm diminishes or delays your visibility for not permitting them unfettered, unlimited access to you're bank account. Thousands of complaints both here on BBB and on the Thumbtack Pro dialog site, and on ********, Reddit and more. It's become a fraudulent AI driven theft machine.

      They now have it where you can't back track and get the name to catch duplicate lead and don't give refunds. Leads went from $9 to $40. They are associated with home adviser of you can't tell. They are ripping me off badly now and very often seeking the same leaf to multiple people. I get better results with yup free leads. **** need to investigate

      The worse! I kept getting calls from contractors that *** previously wanted to get a quote through their messaging system. Not sure how they got my number.When Ive contacted Thumbtack customer rep. **** tried to look up my number on Yellow book and asked why it belongs to someone else ? Like does it matter ? It could be previous owner.. youre not addressing my concern how contractors got my number when its supposed to be hidden

      DO NOT ENROLL!! They charge you for leads even if you do not get the job!!! Not only that but they charge a LOT of money, $65 on a housekeeping job and you will be charged EVERY time THEY send a lead whether you get the job or not. What a TOTAL scam!!! Stay away. My market is Fernandina Beach, FL and Thumbtack just keeps charging my credit card b/c they sent me a lead. They should be sued. I'm trying to make a little bit of money and end up in debt bc of their deceptive practices. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

      I would like to share my experience with a professional I hired for my wedding. Unfortunately, the service I received was far from what I expected. The hire showed up extremely intoxicated and ended up stealing food and items from my wedding, which was tremendously disappointing. After the event, I reached out to Thumbtack for assistance, especially since the company I hired attempted to remove my honest review by claiming that I was an employee, which is absolutely not the case. I have verified proof of my hiring of the PRO, and Thumbtack confirmed this information as ******* make matters worse, the PRO has begun harassing me with threatening messages since I mentioned that I would share the truth about my experience. Thumbtack assured me that they would block her from contacting me, but unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering this PRO for their events. Please be cautious and diligent in your decision-making

      This is a scam!! They charge you per TEXT MESSAGE YOU RECEIVE no per LEADS how they say. I was unfairly charge 2 times. I feel scammed giving away money to this company. Sadly you need to give at least one start, dont deserve any!!!

      Shady business practices, basically still money from my business with no results of gaining new business, theyre a scam. When you ask to speak to a manager they send it via email so you never get to speak to someone that can possibly get your money back that you spent for absolutely nothing.

      Professionals get charged for leads who dont even respond. We get charged even a client talked to us saying I hired another person. I got bitten by clients dog (my watch was broken and long sleeve for 2 big holes - I could have been dead without my watch) but nothing gets done. I got clients who didnt pay after 10+ hours of works. They did nothing. I lost my business because they suspended my account and only listened to a client who lied for refund - without asking my side of story. She complained something I didnt do and pics of something totally irrelevant. Im so furious Ive worked so hard and was destroyed my integrity and my business over false accusations.

      I am a top pro as a photographer in **********. I had a potential lead enter the wrong city for their gig. I requested a credit refund, and thumbtack told me it was my job to message the customer to fix THEIR inquiry in order to receive my credit back.
