      I am one of the Pros and cannot get a hold of customer service. There is definitely scams on their end. I have received leads that have discontinued numbers and have requested a refund where funny how the lead changes to not hired.very shady.

      I am receiving text messages for a service that I never requested. I sent a message to.cuatomer service. Waiting for a response. I am not paying for a service I never requested to have.

      Thumbtack is a total scam. I have spent well over $500 for leads, and nothing has resulted. They string you along, don't reply, and it's a complete waste of money. I reply to all my leads within 20 minutes, and they don't reply. It's a complete scam for Pros. I do not recommend it. Is anyone interested in a class action lawsuit?

Customers can only reach out if their project details match your targeting preferences. You're investing in getting your business in front of potential clients, which doesn't always mean you'll be hired, however, we hope that you are.

      I Never write reviews- unless they are positive. This company does not respect the people it serves, and I would assume the people that work for them.Awful **************** for Pros, and my guess would be everyone.Bots run the place, you will not find a human - emails to support result in a bot email, with suggested articles that are not connected to your issue - chat "service" is a bot, sending you to articles, not connected to your issue - Even PHONE calls would you believe, directs you to 1 option- text bot chat.This 24 hours after I reactivated my account, and it made me remember why I deactivated in the first place. Though I don't think it was every this bad the first time I tried it. It's also way more costly for leads that are questionable (My first one was under 18 years old? What? No bots to vet these either?)I have never seen customer service this bad in any company.This business will tank- AI and Bots are cheap- you don't have to pay them health insurance - but they do not work with real humans. The company needs to reassess their values - clearly now it's all about profits.

When they reach out, you are charged for this lead. You're investing in getting your business in front of potential clients, which doesn't always mean you'll be hired, however, we hope that you are. And we also understand wanting to get in touch with support when you have issues arise. We have wonderful agents that are all skilled and trained both on the phone and on our non-voice channels. We see that your account qualifies for text, chat, and email support and they are happy to assist you by texting 415-299-6398 Monday through Friday 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday MST. Our phone support service is for our Top Pros.       Avoid this business. At first things were fine. Then the Thumbtack pro that I was working with started making excuses for not doing the job I'd paid for. And, for not refunding the money that I'd paid the pro. After months of back and forward with the pro, I wrote a negative review of the pro on Thumbtack. Shortly thereafter Thumbtack sent me an email of support asking me to give more on the situation with a link they'd provided. When I clicked on the link it said the page didn't exist. A few days later they sent me another email with another link that didn't work. In this last email there was a deadline within which to complete my complaint. Both emails came from a do not reply address. And, there's no other way to contact them that I can see.I have no confidence that I'll get my money back. Avoid Thumbtack.

      Thumbtack is a scam for pros. They charge you for leads that you did not request. I had my availability blocked they still charged me for leads. I had to remove my credit card information to get them to stop. I want refunds for all those fraudulent charges and tried to call them ...no one is available!!! There should be a class action lawsuit against them based on the other reviews I've read here.

You can still receive leads on days you have your calendar blocked. Blocking your calendar lets potential customers know you cannot work those days, however, you can still get leads on those days requesting another day for your service.       Thumbtack doesn't have any Safety Policies for the Professionals. We are screened but the clients/customers are not. Anyone can create an account on the app using any name and address they choose. There's absolutely no verification process whatsoever! We live in times where that is not safe. They have $1000 insurance policy for the customers but no insurance for the pros when they are not paid. The customer service is only good when they are trying to get your money. Which they are definitely going to do.

      No one to contact! They charged me 40 for a lead that never replied, it used to cost 10. I tried to call, text, email and no one answered! Is it a scam? What happened to this app?

      I was looking into having a pro help instal some flooring- thumbtack makes it so you can send your bid to multiple companies. Pacific flooring reached out to me via text message. I told him I would like a cost estimate prior to having him come to my house and he started yelling at me that he spent $106 getting my bid. I told him I was looking to hire but I dont feel comfortable with him coming to my house and that I dont care how much he spent on the bid. He told me to go f-k yourselves and I reported this to thumbtack and sent In the screenshots. All they did was let him respond to my review with a lie. I have the screen shots too.
