I signed up to SoFi under the $300 direct deposit bonus 3 months ago, within two days of signing up for my account, I received an over $7,000 direct deposit directly from my employer. Despite receiving this, I did not receive the bonus that SoFi promised. I contacted support 8 days ago and explained to them the issue. They told me that there seems to be a system error where the direct deposit I received from my employer did not code as a direct deposit, but all they had to do was fill out a form to get that fix, and I would receive the bonus in 2-3 days. It has now been 8 days and I have not received anything.I received an email from SoFi 5 days ago that basically told me that the system messed up and incorrectly did not mark my direct deposit as a direct deposit. They claimed this is because of the way my employer sent it, but again this is not true, as my employer uses Gusto, which sends ACTUAL direct deposits -- there's no question about it. They told me I would have to complete the direct deposits again. Again, I will not stand for this as I have already completed the terms and conditions of the offer regardless of whether there was a system error on your side or not.When I replied back and explained this, the next agent told me that the 25 day review period had not elapsed yet and they would be closing the case and not accepting any future responses on it. Again, this is not true as I completed the offer on April 8th. The 25 day period has been a lapse now for over a month."The 25-day evaluation period has not lapsed, as this timeframe ends on 06/28/2025. This line of communication is now considered closed and no further responses will be sent or received"This is blatantly false information. I opened a SoFi savings account based on a promotion offering a $300 bonus for $5,000 in direct deposits. After SoFi told me I was ineligible and only deposited $4,039.52, a representative acknowledged this was a mistake and told me the full $300 bonus would be paid in 23 business days. I have written proof of this promise. It has now been over 20 days with no bonus, and SoFi is now reversing their prior acknowledgment and refusing to communicate further. I am requesting that SoFi honor its original promise and issue the agreed-upon bonus.Business Response

I had my home mortgage with SoFi, which is a totally unpleasant experience. They should have paid my tax property from the escrow account in April 2024, but they didn't. They sold my loan very quickly to ***. During the loan transfer, they made a few mistakes which leads to an incorrect outstanding principal balance. I made $30,000 additional principal payment on Feb 11th, 2025, then they sold my loan to *** at the end of April. They somehow unapplied my Feb additional principal payment and recharge me some additional interest. Then after the loan was transferred to ***, they told *** to directly apply the $30000 payment on May 1st, which means I lose about $300 interests I should have saved due to the fact I actually made this payment on Feb. I spent almost 1 month with *** to solve this incorrect outstanding principal balance issue. I believe this mistake was made by Sofi. Similar for the escrow tax payment, they missed the payment, which results in a $68.26 additional tax due interest which I will have to pay. This is not resolved yet, I just submit a request to the new loaner *** to investigate this. During the investigation period, the interests might become higher if the research takes too long. I'm very disappointed with SoFi!Business Response

This company has outreached me 2 times a day for over a month. I have requested to be placed on the do not call list 16 times, I still receive daily calls. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on multiple times. This is harassment and illegal as my request to not be called and getting continued calls violates a federal law so they should be responsible to pay the penalty.Business Response

Somebody opened a fraudulent bank account in my name. I have been emailing Sofi repeatedly but received no response. I need them to close down this fraudulent account. I had few transaction disputes filed on my account and after finally receiving provisional credits on 5/28/25 SoFi Bank immediately limited and restricted my account. Now I cannot access my account or use the funds as intended, completely making receiving the credits useless because now I cannot use them to pay rent and bills. What was the point of providing provisional credits if not going to let me use them. This is an urgent matter and need access to both my account and funds since it's impacting my family's livelihood.Business Response

We took out a personal loan to pay for a vehicle. It was not an auto loan, but a loan that we used to purchase a vehicle from a private seller using cash. Mistakenly, Sofi bank was placed on our title as a lienholder. We only realized this when we attempted to print the title and were notified that there was a lien. We do not, in fact, have a lien from Sofi for the car. In order for the title office to remove Sofi as a lien holder, we need a letter on official letterhead stating that they have no investment in the car and do not hold a lien on our vehicle. We have been told by two different individuals at Sofi that they cannot provide this. They sent us a secure message through their system that included all the necessary information, but the title office will not accept it. I am not sure why Sofi cannot provide me with the same information on letterhead with a signature, even in electronic format. That's literally the only thing that I need from them as a resolution, but they keep saying they can't do that. They did not have anything to do with the loan and I just need them to say that officially in a letter on electronic letterhead.Business Response

On 2/4/25, I refinanced my student loan to ******* (from SoFi). I have confirmation of payment from ******* to SoFi for the outstanding balance of my student loan (~ $180,000) on 2/5/25. After this payment occurred, SoFi continued to charge me monthly for student loan payment ($3697.75) for the next two months, even stating that if I didn't pay my student loan balance that I would be reported to the ************. At this time, I was paying my monthly amount to both ******* and SoFi. Two months after the refinance (4/4/25), I was told that the transaction between SoFi and ******* would be complete and I would be refunded my two payments of $3697.75. This did not happen. I called late ****** confirmed my information, and was told the checks would be mailed to me. Early May, I called again and was told that there was a delay on their part, but that I would be fully refunded. On May 13th, one of my payments was wired back to me. To this day, I have not received the remaining $3697.75 due to "processing delays" on their part.Business Response
