Today I tried to open a SoFi account on line - Ironically the application process says that my Social Security number is being used. Oddly, this is the first time I have opt'd to use this service. So I have spent the last hour attempting to bypass the automated system in order to speak with a human to understand if and how this is all possible. As you can image this is impossible to actually speak to a human using this service. Someone needs to speak to me asap in regards to this matter and it needs to be fixed at once.Business Response

I have been with sofi for a while never had problems until now ! First they stole $44 from me I tried get it resolved they wouldnt help I let it slide . Okay now they deactivated my card for no reason at all I call and the girl cuss me out saying its nothing they can do I tell her I get my direct deposit every Wednesday night how Im going access my funds . This is why I always transfer the money to my cash app because I felt like there were trying to scam I just want my deposit tomorrow ************ can close my account they are scammers and always get away with itBusiness Response

A few years ago I contacted this business to help me financially and the account was supposed to be moved from SOFI to ********* and Landau, P.C. SOFI was supposed to be there to protect me from the debt collectors that they negotiated with the collectors. However they show up on my credit report as a default debt. I am requesting that this be resolved since the debt with ********* and ******, P.C. has been paid off and SOFI has not more dealings with my debt.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: They are still showing on my credit report and claim that they have transferred the debt to another party. So Sofi needs to be removed from my credit report as it is hurting my credit and causing me problems with getting something I need.. Not that I want, but need. Please have the debt removed by SOFI.

On March 24, 2023, Friday, I tried to deposit a check into my Sofi Banking Account. The only way you can do this is through a mobile device using the ********************** App. The app would not function properly, and it texted I needed to call SOFI for help. I called Friday, and after not getting satisfactory help from a customer service representative, asked to work with a "supervisor." We trouble-shooted anything we thought might be causing the problem with regard to the app and we couldn't fix it, so she referred my "case" to the ********** I called again on Saturday, and asked for help. It's important that I deposit this check into my account for many reasons such as paying my taxes and many upcoming bills. I also have many automated bills that will hit my checking account starting April 1st. I called Sunday, and again on Monday, this time speaking to an Account Manager. The Account Manager reviewed the **********'s notes and they stated that my network was not accepting information from SOFI and I might have a company filter that blocks them. This is not true. My home network is fine, and my computer works perfectly with SOFI. Even my phone receives the "one-time code" that you need after entering your password - so it's not my network. The manager on Monday, March 27th said she would have this solved by the end of the work day on Monday; however, she never called back. The tech department has NO phones so you can't contact them. I've sent them two email messages, but haven't heard anything back. I don't know what to do. You can't deposit checks into your account through an ATM with SOFI, and they have no brick and mortar locations. You can only use their app. They are repeatedly updated this app every week with different versions and state they have "fixed" the bugs for their latest upgrade; however, I've never had a problem in the past. I'm at a loss with how to fix this problem and afraid I will not be able to pay my bills. Please help! Thank you.Business Response

I found out a account was open with my information and I acquired the account months later to protect my credit and tried to close it, but I was put off and it wasnt closed I contacted all the credit companies and the Sofi company to tell them that its fraudulent activity with the account that it was open in with my information ,and theft and to close all Accounts with my name associated with sofi, all the credit companies and the sofi company was negligent in doing so, now they are doing all type of shady practices and added a random ****** dollars on my credit report for no reason at all and i tried to call every company recently again but I got hung up on and some phone services are out of service right now or wont answer and now I want you guys to step in on my behalf please. This isnt right this is illegal, please verify that for me. Please help I also got verification that it has been office and mail break ins in my building these past 2 yearsBusiness Response

Three weeks ago I received text alerts from the SOFI fraud prevention team that there were some fraudulent withdrawals / transfers. I went through the reporting process and was told over the phone that it would be resolved in 10 days. I have called the fraud prevention team repeatedly after the 10 business day **** and have been informed repeatedly that there is no information other than the account is under review and frozen for an undeterminable amount of time. I asked for some sort of letter or official document from SOFI to send to my creditors to explain this and was told no such document exists. I saw that I had an early deposit of my VA disability payment (four days early, which is strange) and it was explained to me that money can come in but not leave a frozen account. I understand that there is a process, but this is serious and no information is not acceptable. Additionally the way that SOFI is accepting money but not allowing money to be transferred or prevented from depositing is criminal in my opinion.Business Response

March 17, 2023 My social security was deposited into Sofi account On March17, 2023 which I never used. It was set up illegally and my Social Security was withdrawn within one day when it was deposited. I use another bank which my Social Security check has been deposited into for months. Someone changed my banking account information, on line in February 24, 2023. While Sofi did an investigation in 10 minutes, and decided that the transaction was legal. Never knowing anything about me or talking to me. So now I have no money for one month because my disability is all I get to live on.Business Response

I signed up for the SoFi credit card with the following promotion:1. An extra 1% cash back rewards (for a total of 3%) for the first year up to a maximum of $36,000 spent.The requirements for this promotion are that I was a new customer and that I have qualifying direct deposits to a new SoFi banking account, Both of these requirements have been met but I'm only receiving 2% cash back rewards. I called SoFi three times and was finally told that the issue must be escalated for review. We are now nearing 1 month and I still have not heard from SoFi on when the cash back rewards percentage will be corrected.My desired resolution is in two parts:1. Apply the above mentioned promotion to 3% cash back rewards for one year up to the $36,000 limit.2. My intention with accepting this response is that the issue is not resolved until SoFi applies the agreed rate. I am maintaining my right to re-file another complaint if the rate is not applied.

In December 2022 the was a fraudulent charge made to my account I reported it immediately and it got taken off the account I thought this issue was resolved Than in march the change was applied to my account again I have been trying to get in contact with the person in charge at SoFi credit card ******************* left several messages No response I need help dealing with them Thanks *******Business Response

On March 17, I made a mobile deposit of my paycheck in the amount of $4,827,61 into my savings account. When I checked on Monday I noticed that the deposit was reversed ("returned check deposit"). I immediately called but all I was told is that it was under investigation and that I should be contacted by SoFi. To date I have not been contacted and would not have found out about the reversal had I not checked the account.It is unacceptable that SoFi cannot tell me what the issue is or when it will be resolved.
