I took out a Sofi mastercard and used the 0 apr introductory offer. When the end of the 0APR was coming and I called sofi and asked when does the 0 APR offer end for credit card and they told me December. When november came in the statement had an interest charge. When i called them and told them a *** gave me bad info they say there going to get back to me but they dont. I want them to take off the interest charge because they gave me bad information for the due dates.Business Response

I filed a dispute Nov 24 and was told by 2 different employees that it would be resolved in 10 days and i would be sent a email. The dispute is for *********** for $190. After 10 days Im told I have to wait another 10 days. Im not told anything else then i spoke with ******** and she said it can be 90 days. I havent been credited anything for the dispute and I feel this is wrong. She made me wait 1 hour to simply send me something saying that the bank understands my frustration but they have to abide by the guidelines.Business Response

SoFi has opened account(s) in my name without my authorization or my ever contacting them. They keep sending emails to me about accounts I know nothing about and today to my home address they have sent me some sort fo banking credit card. I want accounts in my name deleted. My SoFi account was closed and refuses to tell me how I violated terms and conditions. I dont see how I violated when this account was not my primary account but it was still being used. I have 2 issues with this company. The first being that I received an ad stating that I could get $300 bonus for opening a sofi account if I deposited $5000 within 90 days. I contacted support today and they say it's 25 days not 90, but I know what the ad said. My second issue is that I referred my grandfather to invest in stocks at sofi. His name is ******* ******, email ********************** the company refuses to give the referral bonus because it wasn't done through a link. Even though my grandfather is 86 years old and made a ********** be upfront I needed this money badly. My toddler has some serious medical issues and it costs a lot of money. However, Il never be so desperate as to deal with such a company. Myself and my grandfather will be closing both accounts as soon as direct deposits and funds transfer changes can take place.Business Response

On approximately October 14, 2024, I opened a SoFi bank account. On October 23, 2024, I attempted to deposit a payroll check, but the deposit was unsuccessful. The following day, I received an email notifying me that my account had been temporarily restricted due to a "security issue" and urging me to contact SoFis customer service immediately.When I called the provided number, a customer service agent informed me that my account would be closed due to an alleged violation of their agreement. I was shocked and confused as I had not engaged in any activity with the account beyond attempting to deposit a payroll checka routine transaction successfully completed at other banks. When I asked for clarification, the representative advised me to review the agreement myself, providing no further explanation. This lack of transparency and accountability is entirely unacceptable.The agent also stated that my account would be closed, and my balance of $500 would be mailed to me in the form of a check. However, as of today, December 1, 2024, my account remains restricted and has not been officially closed. I have not received any communication about the closure or any check containing my balance. It appears my account is being indefinitely held.I have contacted SoFi customer service multiple times over this period. Each time, I was assured that the issue would be escalated for internal investigation and that I would receive a callback. To date, I have not received a single callback or any resolution to this matter.This has been the worst banking experience of my life. The customer service is appalling, with representatives failing to provide clear explanations or follow through on their promises. My account was unjustly restricted, then promised to be closed without reason, and my funds are being held indefinitely. SoFi os discrimitory against military members stationed overseas. They refuse to allow any military member stationed overseas open an account due to not having a "physical address within the **". This is incorrect as all APO/FPO addresses are considered a US address. It is their system specifically that does not allow for military members overseas to open an account.Business Response

Details of the Complaint:1.Sofi advertises 4.2% APY and ***** services but requires direct deposit to unlock ***** functionality. I set up my direct deposit, but the ***** feature was never ************** ensure compliance, I contacted my CPA, who handles my payroll, and had her set my Sofi account as my primary direct deposit account. Despite this, the issue remained unresolved.3.I contacted Sofis customer service multiple times for assistance. Representatives were rude, dismissive, and refused to provide clear instructions or ************** final attempt to resolve the issue involved requesting a manager. The manager was unprofessional, dismissive of my concerns, and ended the call abruptly without resolution.Summary of Concerns:False advertising of features (***** access restrictions without proper clarification).Poor customer service and lack of professionalism.Failure to provide clear instructions or resolve the issue after multiple attempts.Managers refusal to assist and abrupt disconnection of the call.I have used multiple other banking institutions, and none of them require direct deposit to access ***** or provide such a poor customer experience. *********************** failure to deliver its promised benefits and its treatment of customers are unacceptable.Requested Resolution:I am seeking a formal investigation into Sofis practices, particularly their misleading advertising and customer service protocols. I was with this Bank for 3-4 years with no Problem. I got approved for disaster assistance through **** and the money was funneled through their investing side, one which I have never used. $,7500 in Federal money was stolen then they locked my checking and are not allowing me to access any of my personal money I worked for during Thanksgiving.Business Response

I had debit card fraud from dabble fantasy and i called the merchant and they said to file with my bank dabble i filed with SoFi bank and they denied my claim. I used to have a relationship with Dabble so my debit card information was on the website.
