    Purchased an asset over 2 months ago from the unity asset store. The asset was poorly documented with sorely outdated documentation. The asset also had a plethora features that were not fully implemented. It was very laborious to get it up and running and it was clearly not as advertised. I followed the appropriate measures to request a refund which was supposed to be issued to me within 14 business days. It has been a month and a half now that I am waiting for my refund.

    I have played your games on several games especially Animal Party in promise to receive money. I played for hours.     Im sick of UNITY GAMING GETTING AWAY WITH NOT EVER PAYING OUT!!When a company advertises that all games pay out real cash and it will go to either your PayPal or cash app immediatelyyou are given the runaround and nothing ever happens sobyou wait and wait and wait l&This situation is 100% extremely horrible and it involves 100% unethical business practices!!this company should be shut down!     Unity keeps removing my reviews from their asset store at the request of a hostile asset developer that cares more about their reviews than providing quality support. After my first valid review was removed I left a second review as follows:"Previous review was removed. There is a visible seam between rivers and lakes so if you are expecting to create a lot of interconnected lakes and rivers you will have to find ways to mask the seam. If you keep them separate, masked or from a far enough distance it may still work for you but for my use case with a lot of interconnected rivers and lakes up close the seams are too obvious.Nature Manufacture support is also terrible as when first looking into the blending issue I kept getting irrelevant information regarding painting the vertexes (which is how you blend rivers and lakes in their other asset RAM) but that does not work with LVE as it is set up differently. After much back and forth they finally confirmed there is no blending after which they banned me from their support discord for leaving a negative review."Per Unity's own support:"I cannot see anything that goes against our guidelines as such. However, it could be considered a support request, which the publisher has since replied to. If a review is posted that is considered a support request, where the reviewing user may need some extra help or support with the asset, then the publisher can flag it for removal, only if the publisher has replied. Once the publisher has replied to the review, it can be removed after 30 days."My second review has since been removed despite following the rules and being an honest review consisting of only statements with no questions or requests for support. Unity needs to stop hurting consumers by removing negative reviews for spurious reasons on the asset developer's behalf.

    I've just had a look through your reviews and the support tickets our team have responded to.

    It does seem like your review has been treated as a support request, as the Publisher is responding to say why it doesn't work in a particular way and offering other solutions. There is sort of a grey area between what is purely a review and what could be a request for support - if a user states there is a problem and a Publisher says that that is by design, or offers a solution, the review would be closed as resolved.

    I hope that offers some clarity on the past reviews. I have added a note to your current open ticket to ensure that thorough investigation is done on the current one. I hope that helps.

    I am rejecting this response because: my review was in no way a support request, I know the limitations of the asset which have been confirmed by the asset developer and even if you ignore the fact the review did not include any questions and misconstrue it as a support request their response did not provide any solutions as you mentioned only confirming the limitation that my review stated. I have tried posting a review about the asset, a review about both the asset and support recieved and a review solely about the support recieved including the interaction with the developer kicking me off their discord and refusing further support in retaliation for the negative review. All of these reviews have been removed with no explanation so at this point I do not know how I can post a review without the asset developer attacking my character and abusing the system favoring them to remove my review. This situation has been going on for over 5 months and having to constantly check if my review has been removed and no remedy regarding a hostile asset developer and their harrassing responses has lead to a lot of unnecessarily wasted time and emotional suffering dealing with this unending situation.

    As far as I can see, the reviews are making statements about certain things not working, then the response from the Publisher is that this functionality is by design. For that reason, the reviews are removed, as the asset is working as intended.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Sorry but you keep changing the reason why my reviews were removed and if you can see my previous reviews and the developer's responses then you should see what I am talking about. Saying the asset is working as intended is a pretty flimsy argument for removing reviews as that can be claimed about anything and shows the favoritism towards developers as well as the potential consumer fraud of removing negative reviews to make assets look better and sell more. You are basically saying I could make a terrible asset and get all the negative reviews removed because I designed it to be terrible. That also ignores my last review that has been removed which was entirely about the support experience with the developer. 

    If we take a look at what is claimed to be working as intended, the asset description specifically states the following:

    "create very advanced connected lava river networks (lakes,rivers,);"
    "create fabulous lava river with: waterfalls, slow, fast, lake,;"
    "automatic river network refreshing system to avoid river connections problems;"

    So according to those excerpts and the screenshots would you not assume that you can make nice lava lake and river connections? That is the issue as there is a visible seam between lakes and rivers as seen here (**************************************************) which are in my opinion worse in reality as screenshots hide some of the seam while it is more obvious while the texture is moving. The asset itself includes tools to connect lakes and rivers together and allows you to blend different textures on a lake or river separately but there is no way to blend the river/lake connection so it is seamless. There is nothing in the description or in the screenshots stating that you are not supposed to make lake/river connections. And as such I feel my review is 100% valid and potential customers should be aware of the limitations so they can make an informed decision on their purchases.

    As for the developer's responses to me they have claimed that I am lying and exhibiting strange behavior by disputing my claims and twisting the facts by linking parts of our conversation out of context. For starters one of his responses stated:

    "Sorry but for people which give 1* review with text:  "That is a shame for an otherwise nice asset." I have no idea what did you want to force with that but we will not tolerate such behave. If you do not respect developers work don't ask for their time and help and attention." 

    Which while not explicitly stating I was refused further support or kicked out of their support discord they later edited their response and added "Anyway you always have e-mail support as usual." implying my only way to get support now is via email and I was in fact kicked out of their discord. Later responses to reviews have included claims that I was not banned from their discord which may be technically true as I left voluntarily but that was after they were hostile and said I was unwelcome there, would receive no further support and had to leave the discord which was all in retaliation for my initial review.

    That same response from the developer also included "It's a plague of people who rate assets like that at asset store, we will not tolerate that." which was the start of their war of abusing the review reporting system to keep attacking me and my reviews.

    Most recently they claimed no one was rude to me and that I liked the asset with the following screenshot (**************************************************) and claiming that was the end of our conversation and was evidence of "strange behavior" however that is taken out of context and the conversation in question no longer exists on their discord. If the conversation was just that as they say, why would those comments have been deleted? You can scroll back further in the comment history and see plenty of support questions and responses so you have to ask what is the developer trying to hide by removing that conversation?

    Also the developer seems to not understand that the reviews aren't just about the assets and can include the interactions with the developer and support received. In my initial review and conversation on their discord I have mentioned that the asset is decent despite the visible seam making it useless for my purposes and specifically stating that it may not be an issue for others if those connections are far enough away or if they have a way to hide/mask the seam themselves, however the poor support and subsequent hostile refusal of further support warrants the lower rating.

    So here's the deal....how can a company profit from scams....this company can apparently because they only "supply the pyramid" ...they still make profit knowing that the end result is angry consumers they can turn and say..." Take it up with them".. honestly how does a company get to stay in business for 17 years with the same complaints.... I'm sure this is the reason they have a low rating..not that they don't develop good programming but it's who they are working with that causes this turmoil...I've played other games that use other developers and get pay outs....if the individual games can't pay out but unity can still be advertised then unity should be held liable...

Beyond making these development and advertising tools available to the market, Unity has no affiliation with the creator of the games and does not otherwise own or control the development or operation of the games or their availability on any app store. As such, we have no insight into the operation of the games, including those fraudulent aspects ************** appears to allege in the Complaint, nor do we have any ability to discontinue any applications general availability to the public.

    Please note, however, that Unity takes these complaints very seriously. Accordingly, if Better Business Bureau, **** or ************** is able to provide Unity with any names of allegedly fraudulent applications, we can investigate them to determine whether they are indeed using Unitys services and, if so, should be blocked based on any violations of Unitys Terms of Service and/or Unity Content Policy, which, among other things, prohibit illegal and fraudulent conduct, and require applications that offer non-virtual real world rewards to be reviewed and approved prior to being allowed on the Unity advertising network. If we do determine there is an actionable violation related to an application, we can block the developer to prohibit them from using Unitys advertising network services to advertise or monetize their applications.

    If, however, ************** still experiences a problem with any such games, we suggest he contact the games developer to reach a solution. Contact information for the developer is typically found within the settings of the application or on the relevant app store page. Additionally, if he believes that any such games engage in fraudulent behavior, it may also be helpful to contact the distribution platform from which he acquired the game (for example, the Apple App Store or the ****** Play Store) to alert them of the alleged fraud.

    Relatedly, should ************** or any other person identify a developers breach of Unitys terms of service in the future, they can report such behavior to Unitys customer service team. We found no record of ************** having done so regarding any allegedly fraudulent applications, but we are here to offer direct assistance in the future.

    An email exchange has been going on for three months with this company to get a refund for the monthly amount charged. The business did not react or address this issue for months causing automatic payments to continue. They also employ a predatory policy that does not allow subscription cancellations to a several hundred dollar agreement baiting users. This business is taking advantage of its potential users, students, and institutional personal where these practices cause harm and hardship for the users of their product.

    Hi there,

    I noticed there wasn't a valid email included here, so the response might not be received, but here is some detail in case it is needed.

    In this case, the user's Mars subscription was signed up to and started in January as a 45 day trial. Trials are available to cancel at any time during the trial duration. Once the 45 days are up, if they have not been cancelled, they go into a 12 month contract, which is made clear at sign-up and via reminder emails during the trial.

    This trial sub was not cancelled and became a fully paid 12-month subscription contract in March 2023.

    In May, the user requested a cancellation. As this is significantly after the beginning of the paid subscription, it is against our policy to cancel at this stage.

    I can see that the user has turned off auto-renew yesterday, which means that once the 12 month contract is over, the subscription will cancel.

    Having researched a bit further, this subscription has now been cancelled, due to the user being an Educator and qualifying for a free Educational license. This was not something mentioned in this user's email thread, however, the user mentions having 'students' in another interaction and this has been fed back to the cancellation team, leading to a cancellation.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    They fraudulently said the game earns real money. Come to find out that is not the case after I spent months hoping on a lie... I want to take further action by suing Unity for false advertising.... Thanks and greatly appreciated

    I'm so sorry you've had this experience.

    Once again, however, Unity is not the maker of the game. We just make the software the Publisher used to make the game. If the Publisher is behaving fraudulently, then the best thing to do is to report them to the app store where you downloaded the game. The app store can then take steps to block the Publisher, following their internal processes.
