Beware of the dreaded auto renewal. While Mcafee clearly states in their original contract that auto renew is turned on , they charge you for the most costly renewal services and up you for two years. Worse they renew you 30 days before your service ends. Legal yes , but just seems duplicitous for a company to engage in such chicanery. Basically your getting slammed for higher end services at multiple years unless you are fully aware to turn off auto renew. Buyer beware.....McAfee, LLC

Thirty (30) days prior to the Auto-Renewal charge an email is sent to the customer notifying them of the date their subscription will renew and the renewal price they will be charged at that time. 1 starMcAfee is a dishonest business. They claim they provide virus and identity protection for the entire family, but yet they only let you get coverage for one SS number. Their advertising explicitly claims 2 adults and 4 children, yet there is only one slot for a SS number allowed. How can someone get credit monitoring for 2 adults and 4 children if you can only submit 1 SS number. It is a lie.Review fromSusan J

I received an invoice for service I don't have, I called and was told I did have it and I could not cancel it ! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, their customer service person was totally incoherent and he did not listen to my issue rather was telling me I don't have the right to cancel an account I never had.McAfee, LLC

I have McAfee Advanced. I have called **************** twice about some of their features which have not worked as they advertise the product should since September 2024. **************** escalated my calls, and I was supposed to get a call back but McAfee never did so. They have never responded back to me on this ongoing issue with their product which I paid for.McAfee, LLC

I bought a pc back in December that had Mcafee automatically installed as part of my purchase and has been a nightmare ever since. It automatically dafualts my browser to ***** even after I've changed it to ****** multiple times. I have attempted to uninstall Mcafee a hanful of times and been unsuccessful at remoing their malware and the yahoo defualt browser setting. And the kicker, after I tried to uninstill Mcafee, the option to delete the Yahoo defualt setting in chrome was greyed out. The Mcafee malware is so hard to remove from computers and it overrides the owners own credentials to remove settings set by their MALWARE. Mcafee should offer a free uninstall program that completely wipes their crapy malicious malware from computers. I can't believe this company is allowed to operate. Stay as far away from Mcafee products as you can.McAfee, LLC

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat this morning to my computer, to read some pdfs. I was asked if I would allow ***** to make changes to my computer to install. And I said yes. There was NO option for McAfee. No Custom Installation option just download and that's it.Yet, suddenly there were bars indication the progress of BOTH Adobe Acrobat and McAfee installation on my computer, whether I wanted it or not! I tried several different ways to Uninstall. Through Settings: I checked Uninstall, and all I got was an option for McAfee to make changes on my computer, when I clicked "No" nothing happened and the program was still there. I tried that three times.I tried going through the Control Panel, and all I got was a blank screen and McAfee was STILL on my computer.I researched this online and found information saying that that Adobe and McAfee are now business partners. Also, if I wanted to uninstall McAfee, I had to download ANOTHER program called ******* I tried to do that. Except I had to agree to this caveat saying that McAfee would NOT be responsible for any damage done to my laptop files or programs while uninstalling a program I never wanted in the first place! I repeat, I was supposed to absolve McAfee for any damages caused if I wanted to get rid of something they foisted upon me. I went to the website and ended up having to have someone (obviously out of the country) get on my computer remotely to get rid of it. Which I was extremely uncomfortable with. McAfee had no right to set up something that required such a problem.McAfee, LLC

McAfee is not a trustworthy company on May 30, 2024 purchaser 2 years McAfee Total protection subscription to protect my compute from virus I review rating is 0. The product is defective they told me when they get it right they would contact me. They attempt put product on my computer again and they still had problem. Here February 19, 2025. My computer is still do not have antivirus protection, because defective product I ask for a refund they said it been too long for refund. McAfee updates your services without asking if you want the upgrade. Automatically taking it out of your account even tho I have it set up for no auto renewal. You have to call them and listen to a pitch to keep the upgrade, costing ******. Is it even good business to change the no auto renewal to auto without permission? Used to be an honest company now they have resorted to scamming people! I had my account charged $149.99 for an auto-renewal subscription. I never use auto renewal! They claimed to have sent me an email of the renewal notice. They did not. They only sent an invoice of the charge. I checked my account and it IS NOT set to auto-renew. This of course comes at the worst time possible. The attitude is oh well you just have to wait several days for the refund. Plus I called back and confronted them after I looked at my receipt for the last renewal. Its 30 before the current subscription ends which infuriates me even more. The excuse is that they do it early so the customer isnt without protection! B.S because when you purchase it, it will start immediately! I will never use them again AND I will tell everyone I know not to use them.McAfee, LLC
