    My laptop died and I requested to be dropped from the multi-device subscription to the single-device subscription and asked for a refund for the difference. I was told that refunds were only available within the first 60 days, and that the reason I cited was not covered. They are keeping my money for services not rendered. I have contacted a lawyer.

    My husband passed **** and so I called to inquire about his subscription to McAfee. I was told he had 5 different subscriptions and they suggested to combine them into one, expiring in May 2029! I agreed and then asked for help in installing it since I'm 92 (and don't know if I'll even live that long). The person was unable to help me install it and even then hung up on me. I called them a couple of days later and told them I need it for my Mac so was told I had to be transferred to a different person. The foreign speaker, Kristi, was told that I wear hearing aids and couldn't understand her accent. When I asked her what more Mcafee can do for my Mac, she couldn't give me more than a prescribed, nonsensical answer. I then said I wanted to cancel the 7 years and asked for a refund. After another 15 minute on hold (now 43 minutes) was told they can't give me any refund because the account was changed to the one combined subscription,( at their own suggestion!). I think this company is a real scam and would advise others not to buy into it.

    I received an email from McAfee stating that my McAfee subscription had been successfully renewed using the payment information on file. I found a number and called it to cancel and ask that any refund I was entitled to be sent back to me. I was told that it would cost me $49.99 to cancel. I told them I was calling more than 1 month early by their email date to cancel my subscription (which I had requested and paid for ) I had not requested an automatic renewal. I was cancelling both my subscription and any automatic renewals (which I had not requested) They said I would be charged to cancel. I said how are you going to charge me and they informed me that they had my credit card info on file. I said I was not agreeing to be charged, I did not like the fact that they had my credit card on file. I had not agreed to automatic renewal. We always do our computer security each year. I informed McAfee that I would be calling the BBB about this which I did.

    This company was just like a scam. Charge me $218.11 without my knowledge. When calling them, i was told the charge was about protect my computer. Then I asked "how do you get my credit card number", she hanged up. Calling again, this time I asked why I was charged 218.11 on my credit card, the man said the same thing, protect your computer. And I told him, I don't even have a computer. Then he said "OK cancel" then he hanged up so quick without any more word....This is just like a scam to me. I called credit card company and told them about this. The card was cancelled. So be aware.If there is a 0 rate, I would choose it.
