Their protection services may be good, but I got charged $150 for a subscription I did not want. It was $40 last year and I knew I wasn't going to renew it so I turned off auto-renewal. I get charged the $150 with the auto-renewal off. I double check to make sure its off and it is. I call and ask for my subscription to be canceled, for a refund, and for them to delete my account. Well they gave me a refund, after telling me auto-renewal was still on, as I'm looking at it say its off. They, however, would not cancel my current subscription or delete my account for me, which I know they are able to do. Bad business. Very disappointed in this company. Can't wait to get my money stolen by them again next year!McAfee, LLC

If I could leave -0- Stars I would. McAfee is the absolute worst to deal with. There Anti-Virus is no better then others and there PC Optimizer is the same (no big deal). What sets McAfee from the rest is their ABSOLUTE HORRIFIC Technical Support / ************** IT IS NON-EXISTENT. I've been having serial key issues with their product for months and they can't resolve it. I can't add any new Laptop or PC to my account because it gives me an error code thus making it IMPOSSIBLE to use. EVERY TECH (if you can call them that) that I've talked to (several times) can't or doesn't know how to resolve the issue. I keep having to repeat myself over and over and over and over and over and over AGAIN. Just picture the most horrific Indian accent asking you the same questions repeatedly and not resolving anything. They take control of my computer and can't figure it out. Then again in a heavily laden Indian accent tells me they're going to "ESCALATE" my issue and I'll be reached out to. WRONG!!! NO-ONE AND I MEAN NO-ONE HAS REACHED BACK OUT. I asked for a refund but because I'm an existing customer and just renewed they won't do it. So I'm out a few $$$ until my subscription ends next June 2025. Of course I started having the issues when I renewed in June (2024) and have been left just hanging in the wind. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for anti-virus. If you have an issue and need help YOU WILL BE LET DOWN. One last thing if you like getting spammed by something you pay for and you hate good support then feel free to use McAfee. You'll love the constant spam and the non-existent support.McAfee, LLC

I got hacked and wouldnt cancel my account and charged me ***** that I didnt give consent. After calling them they said youre under a 3 year contract. I told them this wasnt me that I stopped my account over a year ago. The guy on phone said if you dont pay we will just take money out of your account anyways. Doesnt matter if you stop the charge or not. I felt like I got threatened over the phone by him saying that. They refused to close my account and give me money back that I didnt do. Please stay away from this company.McAfee, LLC

Never ever use this company. They spam you constantly and make it impossible to cancel services. I had to cancel the credit card that they had on file to stop their attempts to auto charge me. Most recently was for ******. I called the number on the email and was told that I would have to refile a request to cancel again for the third year. MEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE.McAfee, LLC

Dear *************** you for your review. Based on your description, we suspect that the email received may have been crafted in a phishing attempt using the McAfee name. The price referenced is much higher than even our ********** services prices, and we also don't have any home user products at that price point. Additionally, I am unable to locate a McAfee account, or any support contact records, associated with the contact information provided. I will be reaching out to you directly, using the contact information provided in this review, to reach you regarding your issue. McAfee is a fraudulent business. McAfee is stealing my money. I never authorized McAfee to keep my bank/card information on file for automatic renewal. I called McAfee on October 30, 2029 the day after an automatic charge from McAfee came through on my debt card. I said I wanted to cancel my subscription/services (I was not at that time and still am not receiving their services even though they keep charging me) and I stated that I did not authorize the payment and requested a refund. They did not refund me and now a year later today October 29, ************************************************************************************** my name (I gave my first name and he did not ask me any other questions. I stated I wanted them to remove my debt card/bank information from their system and issue a refund and the person on the other end said nothing back me I said hello and he said I'm here and I repeated myself and again he said nothing I said hello and nothing, a minute went by I said hello he said I'm here this continued and eventually they disconnected the call. This is theft/fraud. This is illegal. They need to be shut down/stopped. The US government needs to be alerted to this fraud. There must be repercussion's for McAfee. Legal action must be brought against McAfee. McAfee is blatantly breaking the law they are blatantly committing fraud. This can not continue. McAfee must be stopped. I did call my bank and report the charge as fraudulent which is what I should have done a year ago on October 30, 2023. Needless to say I will cancel my debit card to stop them from stealing from me again. This is tragic that a business operating in the ** is stealing from US citizens and getting away with it.McAfee, LLC

1 starMcafee is literally harassing me and I am sick of it.I prepaid for the year. Whenever I was working on my math courses, I would get annoying alerts twice a day. I couldn't figure out how to turn them off so I contacted support around October 6th or 7th. They told me the alerts were standard and nothing could be done but they would pass my suggestions up the line. The alerts were NOT the harassment part. October 8th they called me and I hung up the phone because I was confused as to why McAfee was calling me. I got 2 emails from McAfee. I responded to BOTH. Told them they said the issue was standard and nothing could be done. Told them to CLOSE IT as in close the ticket.Hurricane ****** knocked out our power and phone for 5 days. The day the services were restored, the phone rings. I answer thinking it is my cousin because we said we would contact each other after the storm since we were both in hurricane's path. It is MCAFEE AGAIN. I told the guy what the other tech said, reminded him that i responded to both emails. He says okay and we hang up. About 2-3 hours later, I answer the phone and it is McAfee AGAIN, I told the guy off and told him I JUST SPOKE TO McAfee a couple hours ago and slammed down the phone. This is the end, right?Nope! At 6:55 AM as in 6:55 IN THE MORNING, I woke up because the phone was ringing. I answer and it is McAfee again! I told the guy to stop effing calling me and slammed the phone down.I have really sick family members and thought there was a family emergency. There is no reason for McAfee to call customers so early in the morning. There is no reason for McAfee to keep spam calling customers when they've been told to close the ticket. If there is no fix or actual update, why must they keep calling and asking the same questions. If McAfee continues to harass me, I will consult an attorney.Review fromMia B

They auto-renewed after I canceled my subscription. When I tried to resolve the issue I was hung up on twice. The 3rdperson told me I would have to pay to remove files from hard drive. Unacceptable service. No regard for me as a customer. Never use them!McAfee, LLC

I've used McAfee computer protection ware for years, however I turned off the auto renewal because they give no prices on there website for the renewal cost. This year I received a message for fraud from **************** where they were trying to charge me for $207 on my card on 8/24 and my expiration date is not until 9/25/2024. Last year my cost was $86 . I called customer service to confront them about trying to renew when the option for auto renewal was off, and the price. They pulled the same thing they did last year....all of a sudden they had a great reduced price for $86. These people are just out and out thieves. They give no notice what they are going to charge on their website or by email, and this year tried to renew, without authorization. I am certain I'm not the only customer being defrauded in such a manner.******* ***** ****************************************************************************************** *************McAfee, LLC
