I received a notice that McAfee,LLC was going to charge me $379.83 for Identity Theft protection. I had cancelled this years ago when I changed to an Apple computer. I have tried every year to cancel this and they do not comply with my request. This company should not be allowed to just keep contacting people who have told them to cease.McAfee, LLC

Dear Ms.******
My name is Cheryl*******. I am on the ********* Customer *************** at McAfee.
There is no existing McAfee account associated with your email address. The pricing that you mentioned in this review is also not similar to any current McAfee annual subscription. It sounds like you may have received a phishing email rather than an official marketing notification.
I have also emailed you directly at the email address provided in this review. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to contact me directly by replying to my email.
Thank you for contacting McAfee.
Sincerely,
Cheryl ******Review fromPatricia K

Dear Ms. *********,
Your email address is not linked to any existing McAfee account. The pricing that you mentioned is not in line with any current McAfee subscriptions. It sounds like you encountered a phishing attempt. We have heard reports from McAfee customers and non-customers that there are a number of phishing emails being sent to their email boxes. We urge you not to click any of the links in the emails, and if you have further concerns, please reach out to our support team at https://mcafee.com/support/contact. You can read more about phishing emails in this article, https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/home/articleview?locale=en-US&articleId=TSXXXXXX.

1 starPurchased one year subscription with McAfee for increased security. Began receiving a multitude of scam emails daily, many from McAfee supposedly, and many, many other places. Probably 15 or so daily. Also continued to receive spam calls on cell. I contacted customer service and was told my phone had been accessed and they would need to reset it, and also there would be a charge to do so. When I asked about why it was accessed if the software was to be protecting it- no good response. When I ask to speak to someone else about not willing to pay charge, I was told Id receive a call back. Didnt come. I canceled with them- have reference number- but still feel uneasy. I think its all a scam.Review fromDebra F

RIPP-OFF stole $129.99 from my bank account after I had canceled my McAfee account with them years ago. This happened in January of the 5th of 2022. McAfee has NO REAL contact for customer care as the 8766 number is an automated answering system that routes you to the ending phone contact of 3911 number that sends you to a health insurance sales pool which has NOTHING to do with McAfee whatsoever. I see why this company has decline to be accredited with BBB!McAfee, LLC

Dear Janvier,
Thank you for your review.
When a subscription is purchased from our website, the subscription is enrolled in our Auto Renewal program, per the terms of the McAfee License Agreement, the terms of which must be accepted, prior to completion of your purchase. The auto-renewal feature can be disabled by either logging into your account and disabling the feature, or by contacting our support team directly for assistance. Upon checking our records, we are able to see that neither of these actions have taken place, resulting in the renewal charge that you incurred in January. Our support phone number, XXX-XXX-XXXX
I will be reaching out to you directly to assist with your request for a refund on your account, please look for my correspondence.
Sincerely,

I had a terrible experience with this company...called the authentic McAfee number. regarding my subscription, which they gave me a baloney story about it not being compatible with my Windows 10. They connected me with "Tech Support". This was a third party player, which got involved..very rude and pushy. My gut was telling me to run, but this guy was good. Ended up loosing $129.00 bucks...could have been much worse.. The original charge was $279.00, and I had to argue with another party , to get $150.00 back...what a nightmare!! The other parties involved are Qikbay, the Purchase store and Jinigram, the Merchant store. I reached out to the "supposedly" legit McAfee, and got no support Got nothing but a run around about how they couldn't help me, because of these other parties involved Beware of McAfee!!!!!McAfee, LLC

I am now 80 years old. McAfee emailed me on Jul 28 - saying that my account was in trouble and I should spend $39.99 (2 yrs for $79.99). I obtained the 2 year subscription for $79.99. McAfee emailed again today - August 3 - saying the same thing and demanded $39.99 (2 yrs for $79.99). Due to old age - I had forgotten that I had already bought a subscription on Jul 28 - so I bought it again by mistake. I remembered later that I had already bought their 2 year subscription on Jul 28, so I phoned McAfee - after a long wait - I got a phone call from McAfee employee Radha - who told me that I should be glad to receive McAfee's service for 4 years. I said - no, I only want their service for 2 years, because I may NOT live that long. But she refused this requested change.McAfee, LLC

I am Patti ****** and not my brother Dennis ******* On July 30th, I was scammed by a guy named "Robin ****** who said that my Mcafee subscription has expired and I let him install it on my computer. He used Log-Me-in and used his own number to get on my computer. His phone was at (XXX) XXX-XXXX from Beaverton, OR. After He installed this Mcafee software, he kept access to my computer. He kept on calling me after I removed Mcafee and I finally told him that I don't want Mcafee!!! He said that my Mcafee customer id number was XXXXXXXXXX. He said that I owed Mcafee $430.98 for 4 years and said that I would get an additional 2 years free because I tried to download Mcafee before this 2 times and he took the charges off my credit card bill. I don't want any connection with him anymore.Review fromRhonda H

I received an email telling me my subscription was about to expire. May 10th 2022. I paid in Sept 2021 for a year. your company automatically used my card on file without my permission, bank paid the amt. I have a copy from the bank proving this. Your company says they never received the payment. I called five times in one night trying to get this fixed to NO avail. I was refused an email address to send copy from bank proving of the payment made. I am requesting for the sixth time a refund of $47.88 back to my account or to me personally. You have all the info of my address phone number email on your computer. I want my rightful refund. I'm covered on subscription until September of 2023 Pleases advise.McAfee, LLC
