      NetGear - Nighthawk AC **** WI-FI Cable Modem Router
      10/14/22, My wi-fi had no connection. I tried everything to connect to the internet. It wouldn't let me change my password *** I called netgeard several times. They said, I have to purchase another contract in order for them to run a check on my equipment. I couldn't afford it. They also said, nothing was wrong with my equipment. How did they know if a check wasn't ran? I called *** cable and they came out and found there is a problem with the the netgear equipment. I called netgear back while the technician was here and told them about the discovery with my modem. I have 40 days left on my warranty and want a replacement. No one has contacted me back about this matter. Please help resolve this issue!

      Desired outcome: I want a new replacement.

      This is a scam company. The tech team was just kicking ***** and playing tricks and probably waiting for their warranty going expired. They have no intention to solve the issue of their poor product. In my case, they didn't solve the problem for 3+ months and they kept changing tech representatives just to ask for your numbers. ********************** and time. It is a shame to give them a star.

      would have given zero stars but was forced to give one!!!! heard great things about Netgear/nighthawk so gave it two tries and two years of waisted time, money and effort!! You are better off using rabbit ears and asking a grizzly bear for trouble shooting!! They are constantly trying to rip you off and cripple your service as soon as warranties and contracts are up!! go rub two stones together!!

      I just got the netgear mobile hot spot a few months ago. Now the warranty I was told by ATT, firstnet, and netgear was 90 days for tech support but 1 year for the hardware since I am paying for it monthly. But now that I am out the 90 days netgear is saying all of a sudden my product is a refurbished model which is not what I order and it hardware replacement for that is only in the 90 days period not a year. Att and firstnet says I have to replace the product it is completely not working (just turning off few minutes after being on) album netgear won't replace it. So they sent me a refurbished equipment when I am still paying for a brand new Hotspot and will not fix it.

      I logged into netgearlogin to setup my router and the site is not secure. It has a big not secure warning with the https crossed out on red.
      I called for ******** support and the agent talked so fast with a heavy accent I couldn't understand him. I asked him to slow down and it wasn't his fault but he ignored me.
      I don't know how to login safely at this point. I immediately got spam after logging into the router site. HELP PLEASE!!!! I've always used NETGEAR but am reconsidering my choice at this point.

      Claimed Couldn't do it due to network congestion

      I purchased a Netgear modem in April 2022 and everything was working fine until I accidently knocked the plug out of the wall for a brief moment and everything went to ****. My phone's wifi quit working, my Roku wouldn't set up. I spoke with Xfinity, Roku, and then called Netgear who said she could reset my modem if I paid $50 for 3 months worth of tech service.. I paid a lot of money for this modem but I'd rather trash it and buy a different brand that won't charge me money to simply reboot it .. Horrendous ******** service. DO NOT BUY NETGEAR/NIGHTHAWK

      The thing I had the biggest problem with was hold time, being transferred multiple times, and them not knowing what to do. Multiple times they would say they were having issues on there end, say they'd have to call me back, and never did. I did learn from one of the agents that it was because they didn't know what they were doing.

      I purchased the netgear AC1750 model C6300v2. please do not buy from netgear! i bought a modem/router combo and i had better internet with dial up in ****. i have my work computer and ps4 hardwired, and i lag out of meetings and games all of the time. i have a high speed internet plan and this modem only uses a small portion of my internet speeds, it wont go up any higher. i called their ******** service several times, insisting to speak to managers, supervisors, etc. since my "******** service warranty" expired, they tried to make me pay for a package just so they can assist with my issues. they specifically said "we can help you with this issue, but first we must proceed with purchasing the support package"..i do not understand how this is even legal, i paid $200 for a router and then am told i need to pay more to be helped. I was able to get a replacement router from netgear after several calls, and told different stories almost every time i called. they tried to make me pay for ground shipping to get the replacement. after complaining, they eventually waived the shipping costs. the replacement router is just as bad as the original, i am experiencing the same issues as before. ill watch something on ******* then my internet will cut out; the only (temporary) solution was resetting the router, but the issues would arise again eventually.

      I just do not understand how this company can operate like this. I feel deceived and I just wanted my own modem so i did not have to pay a monthly fee from my provider for renting a modem.


      again, please do not buy netgear products, if you ever need help, i hope you are prepared to pay extra for it.
