Hyatt Vacation Club / Welks Resort Beware of ********************* and Lost PointsI lost an entire weeks worth of vacation points at Welks Resort in Escondido due to Hyatt Vacation Clubs website being down on my check-in day. I tried multiple times to access the site to cancel or reschedule but couldnt log in or reach anyone online.I even called the resort ahead of time, and they said theyd take notes but no one followed up. Hyatt later told me I should have called their phone line, but there was no clear contact info or direction available when the site was down.Instead of working with me, Hyatt told me sorry for your loss and refused to return my points. Their lack of communication, flexibility, and accountability is unacceptable. If you value your time and money, be very cautious with Hyatt Vacation Club. Their customer service failed me when I needed it most.

Cannot believe such a deceptive business has a positive rating. Their timeshare properties are a predatory practice that fooled my elderly grandparents into signing up, and have now made it h*** on earth for my family to attempt to exit. An appalling company.

I signed my contract for the hyatt club at ************ on 2/11/2025. But we regretted to do so and sent in the official rescission mail on 2/12/2025. *** showed that it was received on Firday 2/15/2025. in the next two weeks, I tried to reach to the owner's service line( ************** (shown on the contract ) over 20 times and left >6 messages on their voice machine to confirm this cancellation. NO ONE answers your phone and no one respond to your message!!! My deposit has not been returned yet. I have no idea what is happening at all.

Extremely disappointing experience with **** Resort/Hyatt timeshare. The initial presentation used high-pressure sales tactics, promising ******* points bi-annually which proved insufficient for advertised stays. Promotional gifts were defective or unredeemable due to hidden fees. After significant investment, ********'s acquisition and transition to Hyatt has severely devalued our ownership - converting ******* **** points to just ******* Hyatt points without prior notice or justification. Access to properties is now restricted and requires additional fees through **********************. Maintenance fees have increased substantially while benefits have decreased. Booking availability is limited, and customer service is poor. The sales process deliberately withholds crucial information, pushing for immediate decisions. Would not recommend - they prioritize profits over owner satisfaction and misrepresent their product's value and accessibility. Save yourself the frustration and money.

I do not and will never recommend a timeshare with **** Resorts. They lie, hide and misinform you on so much of the information that is critical to the decision-making process. **** representatives did a great job of hiding all of the negatives to owning a timeshare and how you get locked into the contract for life when you sign on the dotted line. We were assured that using the timeshare would be a seamless and hassle-free experience. They made us feel that it would be a simple, enjoyable way to vacation each year with our family. They emphasized that the timeshare could be exchanged or traded with other properties in their network, presenting it as a highly flexible and convenient option. The salesperson was incredibly persistent and aggressive, refusing to accept any hesitation or an outright no from ***** ex-wife and I have spent well over $20,000 total. We paid at least $15,000 on the loan plus an additional $5,000 for the biyearly maintenance fees. Despite this we have never once used the timeshare. This whole thing has been an absolute nightmare with lies upon lies. I discourage anyone from contemplating getting a timeshare from them. Take it from me, it is not worth the stress and definitely not worth paying on it for it for the rest of your life.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ive been trying to cancel my timeshare since June with no response to my emails. My husband and I were pressured into buying during a high-pressure sales pitch, with promises that turned out to be false. We couldnt use the timeshare during COVID but still had to pay rising fees. Booking is nearly impossible, and many promised incentives were never honored. Now, as a widow on a fixed income, I cant afford the fees and cant sell it. This has been nothing but financial strain and stress. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

Disappointing Experience with Hyatt (****) Vacation Club We've been part of the Hyatt (****) Vacation Club since 2012, and while we've enjoyed some vacations, the experience has largely been a disappointment in comparison to what was promised to us at the time of purchase. The reality diverged significantly from the appealing picture painted by the sales team especially in terms of **************** in our 80s, with health concerns that make travel difficult if not impossible, we've attempted to cancel our contract with Hyatt (****) Vacation Club. Given that we've fully paid for the membership, we assumed this would be a straightforward process. We were assured initially that the club would buy it back. However, our requests to cancel have been met with resistance. The company not only refused to buy it back but wouldn't even consider taking it back free of charge.Attempts to resolve the matter through customer service have proved frustrating. Speaking with several representatives led nowhere, and a recent email querying the issue only generated what felt like automated, dismissive responses. This lack of personalized customer service and refusal to assist existing members in need is deeply disappointing. This situation has become burdensome, both emotionally and financially. It's unfair to be saddled with the upkeep of a product we no longer need. We had hoped to pass on this membership to our children, but they have expressed disinterest, citing better travel options available through platforms like *******Our experience serves as a cautionary tale of the challenges associated with vacation clubs, particularly as life circumstances change. Unfortunately, Hyatt (****) Vacation Club has not lived up to its promises, leaving us feeling misled and unhappy with our decision to purchase.

I wanted to share our experience with this timeshare company. As proud **** veterans, my wife and I are no strangers to commitments and responsibility, but this situation has left us disappointed.Since we became owners in 2013, we were never able to use the timeshare. Between the dates being blocked off and the locations not accessible for us, it felt like we were pouring money into a void. Plus, the rising loan and maintenance fees left us barely affording essentials like food and gas. We couldn't spare a dime for travel. After struggling to finally pay off our initial timeshare, you'd think we'd be free, right? Wrong. The company kept calling, tempting us with free stays to show us new upgrades in 2021. They tried to convince us that we needed to upgrade to enjoy the resorts. They went as far as to say we could have a "deal of a lifetime", but only if we agreed to it right then. It felt like we were locked in a building until we agreed to buy *******, we caved and agreed to the upgrade, going from ******* points to ******* points. You'd think with that many points, we'd finally get to use this timeshare. But nope! Were still unable to travel. We reached out to Hutch *******, the Director of Customer Advocacy, to help us cancel but he didnt offer any support. Customer advocacy is supposed to help resolve issues, but in our case, it failed, leaving us without any solutions. This has only added to our woes and feelings of being swindled. This company failed to deliver on its services and promises, creating a toxic environment where we felt pressured to buy and upgrade, without any real benefits. We are locked in, burdened with payments, points that are never enough, and a timeshare that we can't use. I would strongly advise everyone to steer clear of their bait-and-switch tactics.I share this because people deserve to know the truth. I hope others learn from our experience, and that we can cancel soon and get our deserved refund.

Weve had such a frustrating experiences with Hyatt. We were promised we'd save money on our baseball trips by booking through them. Instead, we had to pay an extra membership fee for these so-called discounts, and even after paying, we couldn't find any bookings that worked for us. We were also told we could use Hyatt facilities without booking a room and even bring guests. When we tried, we were turned away. We collected ******* points through Interval, thinking we had all of 2023 to use them for future vacations. It was only later that we learned they had to be usednot just bookedby the end of December 2023. That miscommunication cost us all those points. When we tried to book a cruise, we got hit with another surprise: our membership wasn't enough, and we needed to upgrade. Plus, the rooms we got during upgrade meetings were really disappointing and not what we expected at all. To top it off, when we tried to cancel our membership, we were told theres no exit option available and no timeline for when it might be, even though we've paid everything. We need some help sorting this out, especially getting a way to cancel our membership. We'd really appreciate your quick attention to this mess.
