1 starI wanted to share our experience with this timeshare company. As proud **** veterans, my wife and I are no strangers to commitments and responsibility, but this situation has left us disappointed.Since we became owners in 2013, we were never able to use the timeshare. Between the dates being blocked off and the locations not accessible for us, it felt like we were pouring money into a void. Plus, the rising loan and maintenance fees left us barely affording essentials like food and gas. We couldn't spare a dime for travel. After struggling to finally pay off our initial timeshare, you'd think we'd be free, right? Wrong. The company kept calling, tempting us with free stays to show us new upgrades in 2021. They tried to convince us that we needed to upgrade to enjoy the resorts. They went as far as to say we could have a "deal of a lifetime", but only if we agreed to it right then. It felt like we were locked in a building until we agreed to buy *******, we caved and agreed to the upgrade, going from ******* points to ******* points. You'd think with that many points, we'd finally get to use this timeshare. But nope! Were still unable to travel. We reached out to Hutch *******, the Director of Customer Advocacy, to help us cancel but he didnt offer any support. Customer advocacy is supposed to help resolve issues, but in our case, it failed, leaving us without any solutions. This has only added to our woes and feelings of being swindled. This company failed to deliver on its services and promises, creating a toxic environment where we felt pressured to buy and upgrade, without any real benefits. We are locked in, burdened with payments, points that are never enough, and a timeshare that we can't use. I would strongly advise everyone to steer clear of their bait-and-switch tactics.I share this because people deserve to know the truth. I hope others learn from our experience, and that we can cancel soon and get our deserved refund.Review fromAna W

1 starWeve had such a frustrating experiences with Hyatt. We were promised we'd save money on our baseball trips by booking through them. Instead, we had to pay an extra membership fee for these so-called discounts, and even after paying, we couldn't find any bookings that worked for us. We were also told we could use Hyatt facilities without booking a room and even bring guests. When we tried, we were turned away. We collected ******* points through Interval, thinking we had all of 2023 to use them for future vacations. It was only later that we learned they had to be usednot just bookedby the end of December 2023. That miscommunication cost us all those points. When we tried to book a cruise, we got hit with another surprise: our membership wasn't enough, and we needed to upgrade. Plus, the rooms we got during upgrade meetings were really disappointing and not what we expected at all. To top it off, when we tried to cancel our membership, we were told theres no exit option available and no timeline for when it might be, even though we've paid everything. We need some help sorting this out, especially getting a way to cancel our membership. We'd really appreciate your quick attention to this mess.Review fromLudgien A

1 starMy boyfriend and I were first introduced to **** Resorts in 2021 while attending a concert. Shortly afterwards, we were invited to visit the **** Resort with the promise of a free trip to ****** if we attended a two-hour presentation. When I asked the representative what the presentation would cover, he mentioned that **** had recently completed significant renovations and wanted to highlight them to the public. He never mentioned that it was about a timeshare, which was the first of several ways we were misled. After hours of discussions and feeling mentally exhausted, we were somehow convinced that **** was something we needed, and we agreed to a deal. Once the agreement was finalized, they introduced us to another employee, who extended an invitation for us to return to *** Diego for three days and two nights to enjoy free tickets to a wine and music festival happening there. This offer reinforced the appeal of the timeshare and the sense of adventure it promised. Eventually we succumbed to the high-pressure inflicted by the **** salespeople. Fast forward, over the past year, weve paid at least $28,000 towards our loan, yet weve only been able to book one vacation. Rather than enjoying the benefits that were so frequently promised to us, weve encountered constant difficulties in finding availability for trips. When we did manage to book something, we were shocked to learn we had to pay additional hefty fees on top of what we were already paying. Moreover, we were stunned to see that the *** (the annual charge) was far higher than the already expensive amount outlined in the contract. Throughout the year, we were continually hit with unexpected fees related to the timesharefees that were never mentioned during the countless hours we spent talking with **** employees. We are extremely distraught by the false promises and financial burden that **** has caused us.Review fromMarySue P

1 starSCAM..SCAM..SCAM.. **** salespeople are worse then used car salespeople! We have been lied to from the beginning. We were told that there'd be no problem traveling with our pet, we were told that we could easily cancel at any time, we were told availability would be easy, we were told that our maintenance fees would stay the same from the time we bought. We paid our timeshare off in full the 1st yr of ownership. So, it is paid off in full and they refuse to take it back. Why do they have an "exit service", if they refuse to help us "exit"? **** used to be an honest trustworthy name. NOT ANYMORE. My husband and I are elderly and over the years we seldom travel anymore due to health and finances. We bought into this over 10 yrs ago. They trap customers by offering "freebies", then badger you until you're exhausted after nearly 4 hrs of constant jabbering from the salespeople. Over that time our maintenance fees have doubled! Being forced to keep paying that when we will NOT be ever using them again is like throwing $$ out the window. We are tired of being forced to stay in this scam contract. The way timeshares are operated and sold should be OUTLAWED! We have been arguing with them for the past 12 months trying to get out of this. We sure hope that BBB will look more closely into ****** practices and policies. **** is NOT customer friendly. If I could leave "ZERO" star review, I would. **** is robbing people of their hard earned money that they need to be using on more important items now days. With inflation as it is in these times, we need our $$ for food, gas, heat, housing. We do not need to be FORCED to keep paying fees to **** for a frivolous contract that we will never be using again. BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT TRUST ****!Review fromRay E

1 starI am writing this complaint in regards to **** Timeshare, with whom I currently have a contract. It is contract #*****. in the past 12 months we have been trying to cancel it because no one in in our family wants it and we do not have the finances to pay the maintenance fees. Despite the fact my timeshare is fully paid off, I find myself in a situation that I believe reflects poorly on their business practices.Recently, I have been trying to cancel my timeshare due to no longer having the need for it. The constant financial drain for something I am not utilizing is no longer feasible for me. However, despite reaching out to their "exit services" department via email, I was informed that there are no options available for me to exit my timeshare contract. The irony of an 'exit services' team refusing to facilitate the exit of owners is not lost on ***** is unacceptable that a company would trap its customers into perpetual contracts with no feasible option for cancellation, especially when the service is fully paid off and not in use. It seems inherently dishonest and exhibits a blatant disregard for the financial situations of their customer base.I am seeking the intervention of the Better Business Bureau to ensure that **** Timeshare respects my right to cancel my timeshare, and processes the cancellation immediately. I also hope that this complaint will inspire better business practices in the future, ensuring that all customers are granted the flexibility they need with their financial commitments.Review fromRandy M

1 starThis review of **** Resorts is to express my utter frustration and the financial burden we have endured due to the misleading practices surrounding our timeshare purchase with **** Resorts. As a former member of the ************, I served our country for 7 years, believing in the values of honesty and integrity. Unfortunately, my experience with this timeshare company has been anything but straightforward. I was prepared to face challenges head-on, but never did I imagine that my integrity and financial stability would be challenged by a timeshare. We were young and naive and taken advantage of. We have had financial burdens for years because of this timeshare. We have now been sent to collections for not paying our dues, and we did not know it was going to be this much trouble owning a timeshare. The disillusionment my family and I feel is profound, as we grapple with the consequences of being misled by a company, we thought was trustworthy. I urge you to consider the impact of Welks sales practices on individuals and families who, like us, are now facing undue financial strain and regret. Our experience has been vastly different from the dream vacation ownership promised us, leaving us with a sense of betrayal.Review fromSandra R

1 star**** Resorts and their salespeople are engaged in disingenuous and misleading information, if not lies, to trap their guests. We felt forced to decide on the spot, and after 3.5 hours we were exhausted with the whole ordeal. We werent given any private time to reflect on the offers or how they would benefit us, and we werent given all the details related to the finances of this endeavor. For example, nobody told us our interest rate would be so high or that our maintenance fees would increase annually over time. Had this been effectively communicated to us, we never would have signed anything! No matter how many times I tried to book I never had luck with availability. They always claimed I didnt have enough points, even though during the initial sales meeting I was told that we were purchasing an adequate number of points to travel annually. We are paying higher rates than non-owners in addition to maintenance fees and usurious interest rates. From the very beginning these sales representatives lied to us, and we are tired with this scam contract. We demand to be released, they have not held up to the standards of the contract in our 3 years of ownership, in fact, we consider **** Resorts has breached the contract by not rendering the promised services!Review fromRosanna M

We are extremely dissatisfied with our timeshare experience due to a series of deceptive promises and misleading information provided to us. Initially, we were led to believe that we would have the flexibility to use points for travel, but this turned out to be inaccurate as the devaluation of points upon redemption severely limited our options. The accumulation windows for points were also restrictive, making it nearly impossible to book our desired destinations. To our disappointment, we discovered that our timeshare ownership is actually structured as every other year, contrary to the annual use we were promised. This realization, coupled with the imminent expiration of our points, has only added to our frustration. The promises made regarding using the timeshare as an ****** to offset maintenance fees were not fulfilled, and the misrepresentation of lowering interest rates left us feeling completely deceived. We now wish to terminate our timeshare agreement to reclaim our peace of mind.WHV Resort Group Inc

1 starWe are deeply unhappy with our ownership experience at **** Resorts. After notifying them of our desire to cancel our timeshare ownership, we were told there were no exit options at this time. Although they noted our interest in exiting, when we asked for a timeframe on potential options, their response was vague and unhelpful, essentially saying they did not know. This has been the biggest mistake of any purchase we have made. It has been a waste of money that could be used on something more beneficial. Despite expressing our complaints about not being able to make reservations, we received no assistance in finding a resolution. Our desire to use the timeshare has completely diminished, and we are no longer interested, yet we find ourselves stuck paying dues indefinitely. We urge potential buyers to reconsider before making a similar mistake. The lack of support and unclear exit strategy from **** Resorts has left us feeling trapped and frustrated.Review fromClarence T

1 starI regret to say that my experience with ****/Hyatt has been disappointing. Despite my loan being fully paid off, purchased in 2013 and not utilized since 2020, I have been informed that there are no exit options available. I feel misled as I was initially told it was a good investment, with the ability to rent or resell it easily. Additionally, I was assured it would be simple to book and that I could exit whenever I wished. The lack of exit options after fulfilling all requirements and payments is frustrating and not in line with what I was promised. Therefore, I can only give **** 1 star for their misleading information and lack of assistance in resolving this matter.
