Old Republic Home Protection to me is an unfair company. They would not answer calls in and leave you on hold forever. They did not send an invoice as to what they were paying so that we could understand exactly what we were paid for. When they finally sent a check it was 6 months after the fact. The company they use in our town after 3 visits refused to return to fix the problem. I had to pay in full for services another company they agreed we could call. Then there was still no explanation as to what was being paid, but a teeny tiny little note on the black line of the check saying if they check was cashed that was the end of the matter. I called my lawyer who sent a certified letter requesting an invoice that showed what the payment was actually for with a stipulation they respond in 15 days. Of course, this was evidently thrown in the trash as we did not receive a reply. I really wouldn't even give them a one star review.

Do not use this dogshit company, Ive had an issue with a leak since last December when the issue was first discovered and the issue continues to be unresolved due to then refusing to send me my reimbursement check to fix the hole which is 100% covered by my warranty. Ive called about this 3-4 times every single time waiting over an hour, company is a fraud.Old Republic Home Protection

I have been waiting for old republic home warranty to satisfy a work order placed May 13th, 2022. The part was not due to arrive at the warehouse until july 26, 2022. I've called for updates, waiting up to 56 minutes for a live conversation. I'm not satisfied with the vague answers. Thank youOld Republic Home Protection

I used Okd Republic twice in the last month. Once for A/C (called and came out same day!!) and one for a refrigerator. Both technicians were great and extremely friendly and professional. The A/C guy fixed our problem within about 45 minutes. The refrigerator tech had the fridge working better right away and also ordered parts which he came back to install a week later.I was pleasantly surprised and am happy to say that for 2022, we are two for two!Old Republic Home Protection

This company left us without air conditioning for two weeks. They sent the incorrect repair company out to fix the problem. That company did nothing for us, but Old Republic charged us a service fee anyway. We spent the two hot weeks trying to get a hold of someone to talk to at Old Republic, only to be left on hold for over 2 hours total. We finally had to pay out of pocket for a new unit. Im surprised at all the negative reviews, because my experience has need stellar! I think the difference is that I get, and stay, personally involved. I had an unqualified technician come out; but, simply called back and ask for another company to be reassigned and got the service I expected by the follow-up technician. BTW, the follow-up tech responded within the hour so service couldnt have been better!Old Republic Home Protection

Well, ORHP denied renewing our account based on using the service for which we paid for!!! Scheduling service calls were pretty easy, aside from a single incident which ORHP gave me a single service company whom I was not able to verbally understand due to language barrier. It was advised to ************ quotes I paid for 2 outside quotes and never sought reimbursement!Apparently I was misguided by ORHP customer representative and had lots of in-house options we used in-house for repair.Evidently we actually used the insurance and exceeded their expectations!(Meaning we cost them and they didnt just get to take our money for non services)We paid our service fees and wanted to renew maybe this year they would have pocketed our money, who knows.Thoroughly disappointed!For the record, we paid for the ultimate protection plan. 8 service calls requested & paid in 12 months (all repairs, including 2x for washer and replacement of 18 year old ********************** due to unavailable parts for repair.) ************** is a business! My air conditioning has been out since July 5. Old Republic said they will send someone for a 2nd opinion now. Tried to call them several days over the past 3 weeks to check on status and waited on hold for an hour every time. Great Service, could be a bit faster for refrigerators when they stop working especially with the price of food these days. Should be treated as emergency. Otherwise they are responsive and get you the service you need.Old Republic Home Protection
