      Horrible mortgage company. I needed and insurance check endorsed, I called CMG customer service to see what steps I needed to take to get the check endorsed. I was informed to mail the check in and they would endorse the check and send it back within 2 days. A week passed and I didn't receive my check back, so when I called that's when I was informed that in fact they were holding the money until we could provide them with documents. When we asked for the check to be sent back unendorsed and we would work with the insurance company, we were told yes, they could send it back because it hadn't been cashed yet. They said they would call us back when it was completed. 2 days later and still no call. I called them back and discovered they had cashed the check anyway, and they wouldn't release the funds (which were needed to pay the contractor for the work that was already completed). The documents were submitted and they still made us wait a week for a check). In the meantime the contractor couldn't wait any longer and moved on to another project. He won't be able to come back to our house until November. I have been without a kitchen, bathroom, and insulation on my first floor since May, and because this company failed to tell me the correct information about how their own company runs, I will be going into winter without my house being liveable. CMG refuses to help in this situation. Yes a part of the funds have been released at this point, but way too late.
