    We are a growing company and tested out Stripe with 3 new accounts to see if we wanted to make a transition. They do not take their processing fees directly out of the sale. They deposit the sale into your bank account for the full amount, and then give your account a negative balance where they schedule a debit from your bank to process the fees. Which would be fine if you could deposit funds into the Stripe account.All attempts to deposit / transfer funds into the the Stripe account from our bank did not work. It accepted the transfer but gives no record of it being processed. We tried this for multiple weeks. We have one customer we would like to refund. We cant refund the customer do to ********************* errors. They attempted to say that our bank needs to initiate the transfer - which was false on numerous levels. Our bank validated that it was not on their end, and Stripe was depositing and debiting the account without any issues.After I responded to their support comment that was empty worded, we were ghosted without any help. Worst company I have experienced in services and customer services. Do not use ********************. The rating is paid for, do your research. The reviews here should say enough. I have been in business for over 20 years. Go elsewhere. There are better options.

    Stripe have been holding 57k of my funds since March. They closed the account to the company I was dealing with and had yet to return my funds. The company I was dealing with sent me a email showing a return date of September 3rd. Worse company I ever dealt with. They could have just denied the payments from the beginning. No Stars! ****** 3rd party processing company.

    I have been using Stripe for at least 2 years and several months ago they told me I needed to have a business website in order to get my funds paid to my account. I operate with Stripe via a rental platform and do not have a website. I want to close my account but am told once I do so I will not be able to get my money, which they gladly accepted from my customers. Im a small operator and cant afford to lose this money but they continue to stonewall me and refuse to pay it out.

    I have had my STRIPE account for over 5 years. Recently someone hacked my account and set up a new PRIMASRY email and added a new bank account and they did not stop them. When I reached out, I have to verify my identify and since I did not know the new email I could not gain access to my account or even prove it was my account. It has taken me three weeks to get someone to call me to go through what happened and find a solution. I would told that this first call was a fact finder and their Fraud Team would have it settled in a week. I gave them the time and then emailed the same person who called me and no response. This hacker banged my clients for several thousand dollars with amounts I have never requested yet they funded them and, as I* understand it paid out a good portion of this. The amount is not clear and I am still in the dark. The process is slow, difficult and has absolutely no regard for the account holder and the state of the art of their business. To date I have been told by all my customers they are not going to use my product because they cannot trust me with their credit card data - this is the reason we use Stripe because we do not have their credit card data. That's why we can charge them their subscription without fear of a breech; WE DON'T HAVE ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, STRIPE DOES. At very least they are irresponsible with that data and have no triggers for FRAUD PROTECTION for the merchant. Worse, they made it appear that I was the bad actor here and treated me as such. We used Stripe because we were told by reliable sources they are a respectable, publicly traded company that is one of the best in the world. Past that all my customers have cancelled and it appears I may have to pay off some of this fraud. Even if I do not, I have lost my customers and ********************** could care less. Their customer service is non existent. their treatment of the merchant is antagonistic. MERCHANT BEWARE - this is not what it appears. They simply do not care

    No stars! FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!! I opened my account and was going to run my first charge. When they needed to verify me. Fine, I sent ID and took a selfie. No problem, verified. They send email stating that I am good to accept payments. Then suddenly another email. This time needing verification of the business. Ok fine, send in licence bank statements. Etc .. get an email stating that I'm good to go. So I do. Payment goes through no problem, even states in the transaction code, risk level is low . However, I immediately get notified that they are closing my account for a high number of unauthorized transactions! Number one: did they talk to my customer and find that they didn't authorize it? Within a couple of minutes? Not an option because it was authorized. They just want you to take a payment so they can tie it up in red tape under some ******** allegations so they can steal your money. And from the number of complaints I'm reading, all for the same issue, nobody is doing anything about it. UNBELIEVABLE!!! People can get celebrities "cancelled" overnight using social media, but nobody's willing to do it to a company that is outright stealing from so many small businesses. It's disgusting and I pray this company gets the karma they deserve .

    We have used stripe for years on different occasions however; we have been doing business through them with another separate account and they decided to HOLD our funds for about 2 months now- saying they will let us know when the funds are available and that they may start refunding customers without consent or letting me know WHO OR WHY!!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WE ARE CONSIDERING A LAWSUIT. If I could do a ZERO star, that's what it would be. I would just like the money we EARNED.

    This place is a scam they open you an account pay a couple of small amounts then keep your money and never give it to you even a one star is one too many

    Horrible! A business that cannot be reached. Insanity. I have money in the account they have set up that I cant payout for some reason. Terrible. Not a company that you can have coincidence in. There unreachable!

    I have a small business and depend on my online payment system with Stripe, Inc. to process customer payments. A few days ago I sent customer service a message asking why my ******************** account was debited $30.00. Did I order a particular service that they offered or what? The next day I was locked out. They sent me several emails requesting ID photos, selfies, bank records, account numbers. There was no reason given for the lockout or the numerous requests for identifying documentation. I submitted everything that was requested three times on 09/06/2024. There has been no response or human contact regarding my situation. I spoke with a customer service agent (******** @ customer service by text, who would not answer my questions or cooperate with my requests for information. I sent her my ID and selfie photos twice, after which she texted a link for me to again submit the same documentation on another site. All together I've submitted documents three times in one day. It was so humiliating that I filed an online complaint with the *************************. I have thousands of dollars on hold now until some faceless corporate person releases my account for processing. I've found similar complaints on BBB and Trust Pilot. I'm a professional and I don't do business with big companies that treat their bread and butter customer like I've been treated. Once this is resolved my clientele will have to pay by check or Zelle, which is integrated into my business account. I will never do business with an online payment platform like this in the future. The fees are too high and the services is terrible.
