I tried logging into my email but after I enter my password (which are both correct by the way), it's prompting me to verify my identity to "keep your account secure". The problem is that it's asking me to verify my identity using a phone number I have never had and I'm fairly certain that I have never entered a phone number for yahoo. The help site doesn't give me a solution and the only way for me to get customer support is to pay for the hotline. As of 4/22/25, my mother and I are unable to log into our Yahoo accounts. The only recovery options offered are either emails that have been closed, the email we can't access or a paid service requiring us to get a code from the emails we can't access. All we want is to be able to access our accounts again. We both have serious medical conditions and those emails connect us to our doctors. Thank you for your assistance.Business Response

I am a Purple Heart Spouse and rely on my email accounts with ********************** for many important interactions. Doctors, Food Orders and The VA, Payments etc. Yesterday, April 22, 2025 I was not able to access any of my emails. I called several times to Yahoos support and each time they could not verify any of the documents they asked me for to photo and send to their link. It is important that I regain access as there is vital important personal information attached to these Yahoo email accounts. I am worried now that I sent in my documents. What did they do with them? I am being extorted by being required to pay for something that was taken from me.Yahoo has denied access to my email. Every account I use that requires that email to login tells me my email account does not exist. I have ongoing medical issues and need to be in communication with my ************ can't help and tells me to call and pay for customer support. After explaining what the issue is, they said they would be 'courteous' and help me once, for free. ** wants to send me a passcode via text or social media. I told the woman multiple times I do not have a cell phone for pictures, a way to text, a way to email, or do social media. She wanted me to go have a friend take a picture of their phone to send a picture of my ID to prove who I am. I am unwilling to involve someone else with this or give Yahoo someone else's information via text or email account. I called back and was asked to have remote access to my computer. I will not give access to my computer to a stranger who works for the company that deleted my email.Business Response

I'm trying to reset my password and the recovery email is an old email. I tried the online chat and it did nothing. I then called several times and each time I keep getting a we're to busy, try again. Yahoo needs to reset my password so I can access my email and I will not be charged for it.Business Response

My Yahoo! account is linked to my iPhone mail app, and just recently when I tried to check my mail I received the pop-up message "Cannot Get Mail" & "The connection to the server failed". In order to get back in, I would have to re-enter my password. I've had this account for 10+ years and can't remember the last time I had to enter in my password. I tried to log-in to my account under "Mail Accounts" in Settings on my phone, but was not able to enter the correct password. There was another option to re-set my password by using a linked e-mail account, but I no longer had access to that account. I called their customer support after getting locked out and provided all info (Name, location, DL#, & photo) to verify that I am the account owner. The customer service agent then proceeds to tell me that they can assist with re-setting my password, BUT only if I sign up for a premium service that cost $12 per month. TWELVE DOLLAR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION to reset my password. My account was basically being held hostage.Business Response

Yahoo! has caused me so much stress and turmoil by denying me access to an email account that I created as a child, which is linked to substantial online material I posted as a child, that I have been trying desparately to remove. Because of Yahoo, I cannot do that. I reached out first back in 2022 to talk to an agent on the phone, but they f****** hung up on me. Now, my entire email account is deactivated. I am more than capable of proving the account is mine, but the employees are either too dumb or too lazy to care. They told me they needed to talk to my dead mother in order to get me into my account. This is absolutely ridiculous.Business Response

I have had this yahoo account ***************************************** since I was a child. I lost the password a while ago and then was having a horrible time trying to recover it or even understand what yahoo was telling me. I was also going through alot of trauma around the time they "deleted" my email, my entire town burned down. So it wasn't the top of my priorities to fix. Eventually I got around to trying to get back into it, and when I go to log in it says we don't recognize this email, okay fine that means I can make a new one under the same name, get all my accounts back. Go to make the account "this email is taken". It can't be taken and not available to sign in at the same time. Let alone the fact that the email address is my full name. This email is still connected to several of my accounts. I have no way of changing this without getting into the account or losing a bunch of progress. I attempted to call yahoo to resolve this issue, and they require a payment of money to receive a resolution to my issue.I am not going to pay money to access an account I am still utilizing just not through the website itself.
