      Yahoo has blocked access to my mail and I cannot get access unless I pay for customer support. And not just one-time supportI have to sign up for a yearly contract! I have had free yahoo mail for over 25 years and this is disgraceful!

      Yahoo logged me out of my email account and I dont have access to my old phone number. I know my password but they wont let me in my account and are making me pay a monthly subscription to get back into my account.

      I've had this yahoo email account for at least 15 years. I know my password and have access to my alternate email address, however I no longer have access to my alternate phone # as I have recently changed cell phone #'s. I've attempted to update my alternate phone # (for 2 factor authentication) but I'm unable to because in order to sign in to my account and make this change I need to enter a code that can only be sent to my old phone # (which I no longer have access to). Now Yahoo is saying the only way to reach a customer support agent is to purchase a $13 subscription to a service called Yahoo Premium Support. I think this is outrageous. After so many years of having this email account I should be able to make a simple change to my settings without having to pay money. As previously stated: I know my password and I have access to my alternate email but yahoo will only send the authentication codes to my old cell phone #. I'd like to be able to update my new cell phone number (for 2 factor authentication) without having to pay for it. This type of service is free with any other free email client.

      You have alot of outsourced employees that asked me for private information that I'm going start reporting to other government agencies to get you a hefty fine if I don't get this issue addressed the first attempt. I have this yahoo account for awhile and never had this problem I tried to login and it wanted to send me a verification code to an old ********* account that I don't ha e anymore so that was not possible to send to that email. I spent 52 mins with guy that initially said he would remove the ********* email and put I'm another valid one in my account so it will work and be able to get the requested verification code. Instead after we spent this almost hour he sent me a text to my phone number and we followed a 2 step verify and then he came and said his manager says we need a photo ID then that s where I said we draw the line and say NO. Then he says imagine if someone was trying to get into your yahoo account so let's do it as requested. I told him imagine your company allows my ID to get stolen by your employees or your website gets compromised. I'm going make sure a letter gets out to the attorney generals and to the *** and eventually a letter with intent to sue if they don't do as initially promised insert another email from yahoo and yiur not getting any ID or personal information period. You have exactly a week to contact us with that resolution and that doesn't ask me for any photo IDs or I'm coming after your company CEO legally. Thank you former Srgt and us marine ******* M

      I am rejecting this response because: they are not specific on how they are going to reach out and more importantly they are not. They need to send a message with someone from thar works in the ** and is in management or I will send a letter to our Presidents son ****** so he can give it to his pops which I know personally and to the *** and FTC but will wait for a reply before doing this that has more merit rather than some outsourced person that more interested.

      I need to reset my password but I cant because I dont have the phone number that they send a code to. I have a new number. And its impossible to get a hold of someone at yahoo to help me out.

      I have a ************************** email account with decades of emails being held hostage. I cant access them from my ipad or phone because EVEN THOUGH I know my password (I believe) the apps are requesting an additional verification. The recovery email is my now retired work email. So I cant access them, cant change my password, cant add an additional verification like my mobile phone. Oddly, I can access them still from my Macbook. But that isnt convenient and still doesnt let me update my recovery options. SO ANNOYING that they want premium support payment for this sudden demand for additional verification.

      Yahoo! has 'locked' my Yahoo e-mail account. In the past, I was able to log in to my yahoo account no problem, however, they had everyone's accounts logged out with no warning. During that time I had to switch phone numbers as well, and my old recovery phone number was never changed on yahoo because they gave no warnings. Going to their help website does not give me the necessary steps required to recover my account, nor does it give an option to email them. You have to pay a premium service for customer support and they don't even help you. They have you run around in circles where they eventually tell you "Sorry we cant do anything and then hang up on you." It's an actual scam and i realized they did this so people like me who unfortunately havent been using yahoo because my college streamlined gmail, fall into this to pay them money. The strange thing is that there is a free trial, and that it is available. But, instead of doing that, they pushed for a $12 a month package. Then, they went down to $8/month and magically there was one for $4.99/month. During this premium service phone call I realized that they were doing predatory business practices that not only made it difficult to remove the subscription if you can't get to your email, but one that doesn'y even try to get you there. I have a lot of important e-mails and documents. Yahoo basically makes your email unattainable and have you hopefully pay for a subscription thats difficult to remove. Meanwhile they dont even try to help you recover your email in the first place so you CAN'T sign in and cancel the subscription the easy way.

      I am trying to sign into my old Yahoo email. I have the correct address and password, but the recovery email to verify the account is the same email I am trying to sign into. I have 0 access to the email, as I am not signed in on any other devices. When I called customer service, they said they cannot help me verify without giving them my personal details. The problem is that I used a fake name for the account since I made the email when I was a teen. It does not make sense to ask for my real name to verify when there was no indication or record of it on the account. I just need help getting access to my email.
