    I have been trying to cancel since February but am unable to do so. They publish a telephone number which tells you to go on line but when you go on line you get caught up in a continuous loop telling you they don't recognize your password and then ask you to set up a new one, and you do, they tell you, once again they do not recognize you etc, etc but have no problem what so ever to charge you $169.00. I have sent numerous e-mails and they respond telling you to go on line to cancel but once again the circle keeps going round and round and they take your money. From my perspective they are not honest and operate totally by this continuous round and round hoping the "customer" will give up and just accept the fraudulent charges

    After cancelling TotalAV 2 years ago, I still get charged $159/year, and then have to dispute the charge, even though their website says that my subscription has expired. Not user-friendly and unethical billing practices.

    OMYG!!! Total AV may have good reveiws for their technical abilities but they are incredibly DISHONEST!!! Last week they charged me 119 dollars for my renewal It was half that last year but I understand it was probably a promotional deal. I accept that. This morning they pulled out 198 dollars from my PayPal account for two additional services which I did NOT sign up for. There is NO active phone number for ***** business. You are forced into a chat, that is if an employee feels moved to get involved. Instead of trying to reverse the charges he over me a "deal". It took me two hours to deal with this. Once the chat guy realized I was not going to fall for his scammy over he finally gave me a link to cancel what I did not order, the whole time guilt tripping in the chat and in the cancel process about how vulnerable i will be from now on. Half of the charge was for password protection. I have never used or wanted that kind of protection because I keep track of my stuff. I am so ANGRY. minus 100 stars for their corrupt billing

    This company makes it nearly impossible to cancel the account and charges nearly $200 renewal fees with no warning. When I attempted to cancel my account and seek a refund on the renewal I was charged today, the agent hung up on me. I had to connect to a new agent, navigate several offers of discounts and deals, and finally they gave me the link to cancel my account. In the two years I have had TotalAV, the customer service has been useless and the ********************** software equally useless. It was unable to detect and remove the malware on my laptop. I do not recommend anyone waste their time, money, or computer space with this garbage company and software.

    This company is very sketchy. Example, I tried their trial subscription for 7days. If you decide its not for you and you cancel the subscription before your trial date is up. (And I did) They say you didnt cancel it and continue to charge your card a monthly fee of $9.95 a month. I made three different phone calls and one email trying to get this stopped after they have Continually charged my card now for 4 months in a roll. When you call customer service, they say they have stopped it and you will not be charged another fee. But we all have busy lives, sometimes we dont check our statement each month until we notice something isnt right, so you go back and take a closer look at your statement , and you Realize they have been charging you all this time, even though you stop the trial before the time period was up. Ive also emailed them. *** asked to speak to supervisor, they say one isnt on the floor, you have to Send an email. And if they dont like what youre saying, they hang up on you, yep disconnect the call and you have to start all over again with a different person. They have charged me for 4 months and I canceled my subscription less than an hour after I got it. I spoke to a friend that is certified in Apple products, and he said Apple has their own security and there is no need to have extra security. So yeah, I canceled it in less than an hour after getting it, after my friend said its no need to have it. Today, June 21, 2024 They tried to charge my card again. Luckily I didnt have the funds on my debit card for them to charge another $9.95, let me remind you Ive made 3 phone calls and email to cancel. So they got me for over $40. A company should not be allowed to do this. They will tell you oh you didnt cancel ur trail. There is no telling how many people they have done this to. Im so frustrated I could scream. Its a dead end with TotalAV.So all I knew to do is cancel my debit so they cant charge me again. New Debit Card coming soon.

    I have been dealing with the renewal of subscription since April 2024,. I was told that my debit card was declined from my bank. My bank confirmed that they did decline transaction due to fraudulent activity. When I called bank they removed hold and I was told let total Av know it is ok to charge. But Total Av told me it was still declined. At this point they ask me for another credit card which I gave them and was told the amount will be 4.97 and I should be good to go. The agent returned to say that even the credit card was declined. I have been having issues with this company for months regarding the renewal of my subscription. Same thing bank denied and then I call them and my bank said its clear and no hold. Every time I'm told that it has been declined. So I gave up. Today I was looking a my credit card statement back in April and found a 4.97 charge on my credit card. The agent lied to me. I did a chat online to get my refund and Agent ***************************** said he could not give me a refund. I ask to chat with a supervisor and he totally ignored my request. All he kept asking is my 4 last digits of my card to renew my subscription.

    Total scam. Tried out a program to scan for viruses a year ago and did not commit to any subscription. When I was charged an odd charge by them a year later as a subscription renewal, I could not even access any so-called subscription under my account on their site. There was no option to cancel anything when I tried. Finally was able to reach a representative by phone that claimed they could "cancel" my subscription (that I never knew I signed up for) but would not refund the charge. Hoping to resolve through BBB so I don't need to hassle through credit card company. I was told by the associate on the phone that there was no manager or supervisor to speak with and that they would be emailing me. I have had no resolution from this business but will update if it is resolved.

    They are a scam, I gave them one star because a zero is not an option. I installed Total AV on my laptop, I began to receive annoying popups from them (Total AV). I called for assistance, you are told to contact their email. I received an email back directing me to call. Total AV protection is the Malware, once you install the program.All of their contact information methods are bogus, they are unreachable.BEWARE, stay clear of Total AV
